  1. I love my shee in the trails but you have to RIDE IT !!, always working the clutch, gears and throttle, but if you ask me thats half the fun sittn your ass on a auto v-force.....BORING!!!!!!.. The banshee has torgue, you just have to be in the meat of the powerband to use it. Having said that suspension mods are a must and I'm surprised no one mentiond tires, they play a huge part in traction and acceleration! Besides last I looked this was banshee HQ, I dought youll find people pushin 4-jokes! Peace!
  2. I have an 03 Banshee with FMF fatties and the othe typical mods, and I just picked up a COMPLETE 84 RZ350 for 400$ and would like to do the swap. My Q's are: can I modify my FMF's and use them?, should I swap the whole damb thing or just the jugs and eclecs?, is there any peices I have to remove like the oil injection pumps?, can I use my bored banshee carbs? Any help would be great since I know theres a few of you @HQ that have done this. Thanx..............
  3. Other way around, with the spacer between the jug and the reed increases plenum volume, effectivly raising your powerband, also if you have them befor the reed you interupt flow since the reed opening is smaller then the spacer ID. I personally run a 1/2'' spacer @ the jug since a 2stroke twin loves to rev!, just gear accordingly.
  4. Nice swingarm dude, what is it???
  5. Thats the silliest thing I've ever herd!
  6. Bell Ray SI7 @ 32:1, awsome stuff very clean! If you do lots of high speed or milage I'd go to 32:1
  7. I also thought of doing the exact same thing after seeing one in the readers rides in dirtwheels, and at a recent motorcycle show there was a yellow banshee with the name "Gortez Racing" and it was a trinity 500 w/ a turbo he has raced in the pikes peak challange, he simpley had an internally gated turbo (not sure which one?), a steel airbox w/ carbs and trinity pipes where the stinger tubes were welded into a flange on the turbo, it was supuer simple. I have pics somewhere here, I'll try and post them today. As far as your pump goes you can get a hi-press pump from Carter it's inline with 5/16 fittings and is about 50$ Have you had the megasquirt up and running? Let me know how that thing works.
  8. Just the little switch on the brake lever.
  9. you can have your stock head machined up to .030 I went .025 on mine with a modified factory stator plate for +4 timing, lightned my flywheel, ported my reed cages, bored my stock carbs to 27.5, changed my plug wires and added a 1/2" reed spacer. let me tell ya with a set of fmf's it damb near rips my arms off! If your sum what mechanicly inclined you can do this stuff otherwise any local machine shop wouldn't charge much to help you out.
  10. switch to a 30 pilot thats all you need!
  11. If you just clip them off thats about as far as they go, if you take the whole harness apart, you get to remove only a single green wire, the rest just splice in to multiple wire sections. there are also swithches on the thumb throttle and the breake lever, you can take all that crap off to, I simply cut off all the crap on the brake lever and sanded and polish it smooth, same with the e brake cap.
