  1. no what i think he ment to say was you don't have to use a BASE PLATE. the domes are cut(making more room for the piston on its 4mm longer stroke) so you can somewhat "hide" your stroker crank.
  2. sounds to me you need to check your needle clip position. did it do this before you changed your pilot? i am also in missouri and with the bike in my sig i have 145 mains with 40 pilots, and the needle is in the top position.
  3. this sounds similar too the problems my brother was experiencing at high rpms it turned out to be the bottom stator bolt came out and got into the flywheel and the pickup coil causing the pickuo coil bracket to bend so we used a feeler gauge to reset the air gap .018 between the flywheel and coil and the backfiring was fixed.
  4. my bike with 15/41 gearing went 83. now i have 17/41 gearing so it should be a little higher. hey NYUK where did you get the 18 tooth front i would like to get one of those?
  5. well mine done the same thing when my plug came unscrewed causing a lean condition. so it sounds to me you are lean.
  6. can anyone help?
  7. okay the clip was in the middle position. i got some 320 mains and 27.5 pilots on the way, also should the little hole in the bottom of the slide be visible or not. In this diagram what does part no.13 do these are not in my brothers stock carbs! http://216.37.204.206/xtremepowersports/Ya...pe=13&A=178&B=1 thanks
  8. anyone know what it is used for. could this be the result of the shee bogging down low, you really have to get her wound up before taking off hard.
  9. what is this peice for the one labeled 13. http://216.37.204.206/xtremepowersports/Ya...pe=13&A=178&B=1 the carbs on my brothers banshee does not have this
  10. sheefreak is correct, it does not matter both cylinders fire at the same time.
  11. what does the little hole do? what would happen if it was covered up?
  12. i don't know about winning but i can run 8.5 cc domes because my pistoms are flat top my compression is right at 200.
  13. first off i would change to a different chain (100 bucks for a non o-ring) you are getting screwed. but i change my did non o-ring once a year and they are only like 35-40 dollars. yours must be gold plated or something.
  14. on the stock banshee carbs inside the slide, there is a peice that screws down to hold the needle in place. Should it be turned to close the hole in the bottom of the slide or should the little hole be visible?
  15. one thing my dad has always told me and my brother if it cant handle it know it isn't never going to....... but just on the safe side i took mine through a couple runs to get it warm then let it cool then ran the shit out of it to "test" evrything out .
  16. this isn't for my banshee it is on my brothers. now i got some jets ordered but i have another question on the stock carbs inside the slides should the little hole be visible when the bracket that holds the needle in is in place or should the bracket be turned the other way to cover it up? i know it sounds vauge but its the best i could describe it.
  17. thanks jeff but i found some last night they were 4 dollars a piece and they will be here wednesday.thanks anyways also could low compression cause symptoms like this. it has 21 cc domes with 120psi.
  18. what "series" pilot do i need to buy for the stock carbs. by the pictures in dennis kirk the only thing close is the air screw but it doesn't sell in the right sizes. where can i order some pilots from?
  19. the timing is alreadt advanced 4 degrees, and which way on the needle do i go from the squared end or the pointed end. also where can i order pilot jets from my local dealers don't have them all they have is the longer pilots for hondas and i cant seem to find the right one in dennis kirk.
  20. what would you suggest going to on the pilot a 30. also how far down should i go on the needle one clip at a time?
  21. okay this really has me stumped my brother and i went riding last sunday at a rock quary (all morning) and his banshee ran fine, then on sunday nights we drag race all our buddies and freinds in front of my house. it was then it started running like shit. it just boggs really bad on the line. i have cleaned every thing twice (gas tank, carbs, and air filter) and the problem still exist. here is the jetting 320 mains,25 pilots, needle in middle clip, air screw 1.5 turns out. if any one can help it would be nice. thanks.
  22. yeh it does need to be reringed but it should run better than it does. i got the pilot out it is a 25 this is really lean isn't it and 270 mains needle was 1.5 turns out and i am not sure about the needle clip position yet.
  23. do you want to sell your blown motor?
  24. all right i will check it out first thing tomarrow. where is the stock needle clip position?
