  1. would you consider trading anything for the stuff. if you do tell me i will see if i got it.
  2. hey boonman how much do you charge to lighten a flywheel? and how long would it take to get it back?(missouri)
  3. howmuch you want for the bottom end and head and a flywheel if you got it.
  4. okay i will get some jets and try changing to what you said because i am 909 feet so pretty much the same. when we got the bike it had paul turner high revs on it.he didn't rejet it for the different pipes. could the bogging on the low end be it running out of gas? also where are the pilot jets located on the stock carbs? he can't seem to find them and i have never looked in a mikuni just keihen.
  5. i will try that before we tear it down. we did a compression test on it and it only had 120 with i think 21cc domes. My neighbor just rebuilt his stock motor with stock head and it had 130. then we tested mine for the first time on my new guage it pulled 200psi i knew it was alot but not that much.
  6. ok 5th time is the charm FINALLY. i would have been here all night.
  7. man that shit is hard i don't know how i graduated
  8. yes you do need to clean your carbs pretty good you wrote that you cleaned them that is why i didn't say anything but i guess you could have just cleaned the outside. you need to take all the jets out and look through them and take a little piece of wire to clean them really good. and you could pour a little gas in the spark plug hole instead of pull starting both will work.
  9. yeh i would have to agree with everyone else on here a good all round pipe with port work T5s
  10. hook it to another atv and drag it at WOT until it starts with it sitting that long it will probably take it a while to start. Same thing happened to my brothers 250r.
  11. what do your plugs look like after kicking it all those times? they should have some fuel on them. if i were you i would hook it to something(another quad,or truck) and pull it until it starts.
  12. my brothers does it when you go into third i don't know what the problem is we will split the case this winter. it feels like it goes in just for a second while drag racing then as soon as you pin it it throws it out of gear. I don't know what it is but it can't be good.
  13. i run turf tamers on the back of my banshee they are not cut and wear really well they seem to hook up pretty good on loose dirt as well as grass.
  14. hey i will tell him tonight and see what he says. do you think maybe he will have them for awhile? i think my brother wasn't planning on buying some carbs till this winter but thought i would start looking now.
  15. 15/41 sounds like a good option for you and your riding style. if haven't got any port work i don't think you will like the 16 in the trails (may have to clutch it a little). anyways order a couple gears at a time they are like 6 bucks from RM.
  16. well it depnds but lets say you go with wiseco prolites and the whole kit which includes pistons rings wrist pin and clips top rod bearing and top end gasket set i am pretty sure it soing to be around 200 bucks.
  17. i don't know what size pilot is in it. and it idles perfect the only reason why i don't think it is lean is because it has ran perfect up until sunday night. sunday morning we went to the quary ran good. every sunday night we drag race all our neighbors and freinds in front of our house. it was then it started to run like shit(bogging and backfiring..ect.) got the backfiring fixed but not the bogg. i will try cleaning the filter then go from there.
  18. i heard that jessica beil was up for the part of daisy as well i think should would have made a better daisy duke.
  19. well i ran it with it off just in the grass and down the paved road it still seemed to bogg but that is when it was misfiring. so i fixed the plug and put the filter back on. the misfiring was fixed but not the bogg. i need to give it a thorough cleaning and i will get back with you. i forgot about a week ago the bottom stator bolt came out and the little waher got in between the flywheel and that black box (pick up coil) and it also bent the brackt so the box was further away from the flywheel than it is supposed to be i think i remember someone saying the air gap should be .018 is this right? but still we went riding at a rock quary on sunday and it ran fine so that shouldn't be a problem. the timing was at 3 advanced when we got it so we turned it up to 4 it ran fine but then when that bolt came out it chewed the firing spots on the flywheel up just a little. so i put the timing to 2 because of the chewed up spots. but this was all before sundays ride at the quary. so i will clean the filter and go from there. damn i just wrote a whole book.
  20. cool thanks man now i know for future preference. what size jets should be in that thing. all i know is it has 270 mains. it has sst's,k&n no lid, boost bottle, reed spacers, cool head
  21. ok i that sounds right. i forgot about the different sea level effecting the compression. do you know by chance what my elevation is(Pleasant Hill Missouri)
  22. i was thinking the same thing shorter swinger=more traction.
  23. compression is the amount of pressurized air/fuel in your combustion chamber. i believe the stock compression is supposed to be 135psi, but don't hold me to it. if your compression gets low it is time for a new top end (pistons and rings) or sometimes just rings and possibly a new bore or a hone job.
