  1. i ended up using a bushing driver that worked perfect to tap the bearing in once i got the bearing started so i didn't screw up another bearing. when i first got it there was no way the bearing would go in there it was just way to small but all is good now. hope yours works out all smooth.
  2. that is what i was thinking but just getting another opinion. by the way bigboybanshee i got my swingarm all fixed i had to drill the holes out for the shock linkage and axle carrier and i used a dremel tool to grind the holes bigger for the bearings. so all is good now. but i havn't got a chance to run with new swinger my frame is getting painted now.
  3. yes but they have a spring inside them and an adjusting screw to make the spring more tense so the powervalve will stay closed longer and make the exhaust port smaller. so i guess what i want to know is for more top end do i want the powervalve to open up sooner or later(screwed in or out)
  4. vitos sells a rebuild kit for only 3 or 4 dollars comes with new spring, ball, and screw worked perfect.
  5. if you get rockets you won't be dissapointed by the performance it woke my shee up i didn't lose any low end (but i have t rex cylinders) and the top end is unbelievable i loved them just had a little mishap with the chrome but be fixed at the moment by the good guys at rocket pipes you won't be dissapointed.
  6. with a powervalve engine if you screw the adjusting screws in does it produce more top end or low end?
  7. doesn't the banshee bone stock have some kind of rev limiter activated if the parking brake as been used with out pushing it back off.
  8. i have a question on my trex cylinders wich way would you screw the adjusting screws for more top end. i seen a rotax with them screwed way in, but i was told to put my flush with the covers.
  9. what about LRD porting a buddy of mine has the 380 kit in his with a trail port and with a 17 tooth front sprocket and trinity stage 4 pipes it has good low end and tops out at about 110.
  10. i would suggest lokking at the reeds if you haven't already maybe the left side broke or something and it wont run at idle cause it looses compression but when at WOT when your really forcing it in there it will fire. just another idea probably not it but worth a shot
  11. its good to know i am not the only one experiencing trouble with them i gotout the vice grips and they came right out and then cleaned the threads up and went to the hardware store and got new bolts.
  12. well first you cant run both the timing plate and the key at the same time in my opinion i would go with just buying the plate and mine is set at 4 degrees advanced there are little numbers on the plate that you line up with where the two case halves go together. ricky stator sells the plates for 35 dollars i think
  13. my brother just got is first banshee through a trade and i was wondering about the pipes it has paul turner high revs on it now but i have my old set of sst's just sitting because i went to rockets. anyways wondering wich is better paul turner or sst's
  14. hey big boy banshee if you still have the swingarm i want to buy it just pm me your info so i can send you a money order and the total costs, or you can call me 816-204-4954 thanks
  15. its not the powervalves i am worried about its both sides of the head and cylinders where the ssts and cpis rub.
  16. how much lomger is it and do you know how much it would cost to send it off to get it chromed.
  17. okay i have got to get a longer swingarm to keep my front tires on the ground when dragging. I know that i want the type that is made of tubular steel or any material but i want it to have the circular design not square like stock any help on wich brand to buy with a reasonable price.
  18. I ordered my set of rockets about a month and half ago and still waiting but are currently barrowing a set of CPI big bores and both pipes hit my cylinders. I have trex cylinders and was wondering if the clamp on the rockets is further on the inside of the pipe to prevent this. Any trex people running rockets please help also how much difference did you tell on the top end. I noticed quite a bit of difference between sst's and cpi's and i hear rockets pull harder than cpi's.
  19. the only difference between the b8es and br8es is a resistor wich has nothing to do with atv's unless you have a radio on it. If you run the b8es in anything with a radio it will mess up the radio station. I run b8egv in my banshee they are racing plugs they are about 5.00 a pop. some people get the "r" which really stands for resistor confused with race. But the b8egv plugs say "racing competition" right on the box.
  20. alright thanks alot does the fast racing clutch kit have a website.
  21. well my pistons are flat top where most banshees are a domed style but yeh it is still right around 200.
  22. i not too sure about that because i have a tach on my banshee that goes to only 9999 and i can make it start flashing because it turned harder than that but i have 400 trex motor with 8.5 cc domes and +4 timing that is with sst's i ordered my rockets about a month ago and still waiting. so i would guess bone stock to turn about 7000-7500 just a guess
