  1. yeh i have done that before burnt a hole completey through the piston and the end of my plug was gone it even got the top of the rod but everything else was unharmed i just put new pistons in it(after finding out why it did it) and went drag racing the next weekend.
  2. on my 35 pwks i took the spring out up on the handlebars and the springs in the carbs i shortened them about a half an inch which made a big difference. Just don't cut too much off.
  3. okay i took the side case off and all that happened was the shifter had moved out just enough to get in a jam so all i had to do was push it back in and it snapped and the shifter went back to the right location. i gues i got lucky nothing was broken. thanks again

    what kind of fuel are you runnin also i have never seen an all out drag bike with a handlebar set up like yours just used to the straight bars, i kinda like it

  7. yes you are right. if you want to be exact but when you buy trex cylinders they just say it is a 400 at 68mm, just like when yamaha says the banshee is a 350 when it is really a 347. but yes you are right, here is a good chart link http://www.teamracersedge.com/yamaha-banshee-products.htm

  9. that is what i thought because mine is stock stroke with 68mm bore and it is a 400
  10. i could be wrong because changing your bore 1mil or .040 makes it a 390cc. no you are still wrong just boring your shee 40 over with a stock stroke crank does not make it a 390. It is probably somewhere around 350-355-360 i am not to sure but i do know that it doesn't make it a 390
  11. when he says a 350 stroker i took it as a stock bore banshee(350cc) with a 4 mill stroker. yeh i know it isn't a 350 anymore because of the stroker but i think it was easier to explain a banshee with 64mm pistons and a 4mm stroker instead of saying a 3?? or whatever a stock bore 4mil stroker makes the cc. may be wrong but that is the way i took it.

  17. ya i know what you are talking about on 71 right after they get it done they have to grind on it in order to make it smooth.
  18. so if it is the adjuster pin would that let the shift star just spin right? i am gone all week so i will take it apart friday afternoon when i get home to see who is right, i knew it was something in that vacinity but i was just "testing" the HQers knowledge on some things to see who his right some more suggestions would be nice personally i think the shift star may be broken but i will find out friday.

  21. i was guessing it had something to do with the shift star. i do not have a lock out. i don't think it just came off because it will still shift from second to third and back again just fine, but those are the only two gears i have.
  22. i has the same problem with my 35's, wouldn't idle at all on gas but when i switched to alcohol it idles perfect now plus lots more power!
  23. okay i was out drag racing at our annual sunday afternoon drags in front of my house and every thing was good until about my fifth or sixth run when i tried going to from 3rd to 4th it wouldn't go so i tried pulling again still nothing. i stopped and the shifter was like 3 inches higher than usuall and all i could do was down shift to 2nd. so know it is stuck in 2nd and 3rd gear. what do you guys/girls think the problem is?
