IMS ROLL DESIGN FOOT PEGS W/KICKUP
Handyman replied to Onesickcrewcab's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Those look pretty nice....They may look better with the IMS Roll in silver...like they are on the chrome sets lettering is in black... -
Not to rain on your parade but the price of the bike has nothing to do with how well the bike runs...I know plenty of banshees that are from $3000-$4000 that will make the $12k bikes look slow as hell in any situation...the reason this bikes are that much......well just look at the ungodly amounts of chrome and powdercoat on the bikes...there is hardly anything(if anything) left bare or untouched...that is where most of the cost comes from...tkae all that "bling" away and you;ll lose about $8-$10k.....Don't throw the $12k price tag in the argument..... And he's already admitted that they know how to build great bikes...There is no argument there...

Got My CPI Inframes Today Not Impressed at all!
Handyman replied to ICULOKN's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Every CPI pipe is hand made. They don't use jigs to hold in place and weld, its all done by hand. that's why every pipe fits a little different from. i got mine from Cascadeinnovations and the chrome is immaculate and looks brand new 2 years later....I had no issues with installing mine...Mine also came with no hardware... I already had the hangars and bolts from the set I took off....I think that's the same thing that CPI thinks... -

Thanks to everyone and their ideas....I learned alot....Since Vista has a D drive that actually has all the stuf to do a complete dump and reload....SO I dumped it and reloaded everything...It now works just like it should. I can get on the internet and runs beautifully....Thanks to everyone for their help.

YOu know I would like to hear what some of the builders on this site have to say...I think they would have the best amount knowledge of what runs best with what set up...
-
i can only image the amount of strength it will take to keep me from going off the back end....I may the extra strength velcro

I'm not worried about people knowing who's faster..i will admit to it..If i was worried about that i would have bought a 535cc by now..(which I'm plannign to build little by little over a long period of time) yeah i plan bringing up the compression and see how it runs then...I know it will be a big difference

I currently have 20cc domes in my powervalve motor running 174psi.. I'm thinking about dropping in my 17cc domes to help with the high altitude of 4500 ft(Sand Mountian Nv.) and power loss...I mainly ride at sand mountain and Pismo(when I can afford it). The question I have is what will I need to rejet to for both seal level and 4500ft above sea level?? I know my timing will have to be set and around +7 or +8. I'm currently at +4. I still have OEM bearings on the crank that was been trued and welded. I know the compressin will be at or above 200psi at seal level and I hope to have about 170-180 at 4500ft elevation. Any advise is greatly appreciated...Bansheeseat$$ is the engine builder and I hope he chimes in on this one... We have discussed this before but I have lost all the info he had given me. Thanks in advance

A cub and powervalve cylinders produce right about the same peak HP... If you want to get into a cheaper motor go with the cub set up...Some of the big dogs are running the powervalve cylinders with the powervalves block off plates.. yes yoru bike was the first one that popped in my head when I wrotwe that.....I'm thinking about dropping the 17cc domes in...just wait I might be able to keep up with you...

are you sure that the ties aren't just spinning and then catch and that's what you feel ??? I did that with my cheetah when I first got it built....I thought something was wrong until my wife said the rear tires were just spinning....all the way thru 4th gear on hard packed dirt. Welcome to the HQ....and the addiction

from what I have read in previous posts....anything other than CPI's or Shearer's would kill some of the performance of the motor....especially a PV motor....The powervalves give the cheetah more low end torque....putting T5's/FMF's on would give more low end and kill your mid to top end once the powervalves are open...

nope didn't work either

Nope didn't work..

Nope niether of those worked...I just got off the phone with HP and they are clueless...They are saying my internet provider is the problem but my desktop and laptop run just fine with the same internet provider...Anyone know how to change the IP address is Vista
-

Ok i have one for you.....My wife's computer will not read the internet....It will connect to the wireless router and will connect to the internet but will not read the interent. She has a less than 1yr old HP Pavillion DV6000 laptop the computer was used to connect to the internet a couple times before I went on my 7month deployment and then for the next 7 months never connected to the internet. Once we came back it was used as the main computer in the house. So I know the wireless connectivity of the computer is basically brand new. The operating system is Windows vista...Anyway I have looked at every possible thing I could think of and everything is working properly...I've had 3 other people who have the idenitcal computer look at it and they can't figure anything out. they say the wireless components are working correctly. One guy even hooked it up to his dsl and it would connect but not read any web pages...and his computer was reading the interent just fine. I'm hoping some here can help me out before I dod a system restore back to Oct 30th... My wife said she was on the internet and we were emailng back and forth for a couple hours and she went to bed NOT TURNING OFF the computer...she woke up 6 hours later and the Yahoo page was still showing. When she went to check er email that's when the screen came up saying that it the internet page would not load....I have tried multiple internet sites and nothing....but the computer is connected to the internet....

He replied.....claims it's a new build....

I did not know the cubs started at 64...I thought the cubs and PV cylinders started at 68....hmmm Now I have something to think about for my wifes bike
-
if he doesn't plan on going to bigger motor I'd stick with the Pro Circuits for the better overall performance they give... the CPI's are a top end pipe with not much of a low end....BUT they will work and are great pipes...
-
I just emailed him via ebay...Maybe the economy is taking its toll on him and needs the money....I'll keep this for myself and make this my hillshooter...I'll have a 421 PV duner and a new hill shooter if it isn't blown

It's completely up to you but since you'll be i thgat deep in the motor I'd throw in a 4mil crank...You's feel a hell of a difference and wil love it, but that is 100% up to you. I'd look to see closely at everything, even the stuff you wouldn't normally look at...My '99 had a firing issue and come to find out the needle was bent on the very tip causing disruption in the carbs screwing everything up..Anything that you may have a question on please feel free to ask...I've never been on or heard of a forum with this many people who work on their own motors and can diagnose anything with these bikes....We'll get you up and running....and it'll be free... Oh and throw that boost bottle away.... Good luck.

Yes you have a CHEETAH Powervalve motor...I have one as well and love it. The Cheetahs and cubs start at 68mm as far as the bore goes. The cheetah PV cylinders are not sleeved they are nikasil'd. I'm not sure how big of a bore you can go without having to do other work to the cases. I've ridden I cub since I bought my PV and I will stick with the PV motor. The cub didn't seem to have a lot of low end compared to my PV. I'm not if it was just the bike and the way it was set up but I didn't really seem to impressed with it...Now when I opened her up it was fun as hell... Can't make an honest comment on just one ride on one cub set up because I know there are some cubs that will put my PV motor to shame.....but I do love my cheetah powervalve for the low end torque for the dune riding.....

Either NYUK or LOCO is parting out 3 banshees right now and Minkia has parts from about 19 banshees...he has a shit load of frames as well...Look them up and I'm sure you won't be disappointed
