  1. Could possibly ship it, if you pay for all costs
  2. He uses some pretty abrasive stuff......hit it with a wire brush and you can see a little bit more of the numbers
  3. well, i just found a pic of a vin. Went and scrapped off the paint and you can barely see a number or 2. When i bought the thing i remember looking at the vin but never wrote it down. Had my buddy sand blast my frame and he does big industrial things and looks like it pretty much blew the vin right off
  4. Need a picture of anyones vin number on the frame. Would like to know exactly where it is so I can scrap off as little paint as possible. I know its lower frame left side, under shifter/fly wheel cover. But mines covered in paint and dont want to strip that much off trying to find it. Thanks
  5. Thanks, I have someone coming out to look at it later today, Ill post later if it sells or not
  6. 1997 banshee just rebuilt about a hour on the top end stock except for 2 into 1 graydon proline intake, 38mm carb and a twist throttle. has not seen any dirt since being torn down. * rear caliper leaks out of parking brake area when you step on the pedal, haven't had time to fix. * one rear tire needs a plug $2,300 located in utica, michigan about 25 miles north of detroit
  7. thanks for the info guys. I know that slides arent in backwards. Ill try some stuff once i have some time to work on it. Pretty sure the carbs just need to be synced together,i didnt touch anything to make any differences in the motor or carbs except for unhooking the throttle cable
  8. Hey guys just finished putting the motor back in the shee after rebuilding the whole bike. It ran fine b4 i took the motor out but now it is backfiring out of the left side and wont idle...Ive switched the plug wires and it made no difference so it isnt electrical, i cleaned the carbs out real good and still no change, checked for a air leak around everything using carb cleaner, put new plugs in etc...... now the only thing i think is left that could be wrong is that the carbs are out of sync which i can tell by looking at them when the slides are at different heights and what not while giving it some throttle. Would the carbs being out of sync cause it to backfire?? The TORS is all removed but i do have the stock carb caps on it still. thanks for any insight
  9. well i got all the tors stuff unhooked on the shee, it did fix my problem.
  10. thanks for the replies guys I'll have to try it out tomorrow...Im not used to all this electrical crap on a bike, im used to my 250r's
  11. thanks for the info guys...the problem im having with the bike is just in the low rpms it seems like the motor wants to shut off and quit, may just need some carb work tho. I uplugged one on the carbs while it was running and the bike died. I may have to look into the eliminator kit then. Its a 96 fresh top-end about 20 mins. on it, pretty much stock got it for $1000
  12. Hey guys just picked up a shee. I searched the forum and cant find exactly what to unhook to get rid of the tors?? Im not looking into putting any money into it and buying the eliminator kit. Just what wires i have to unhook for it to still run without it? Thanks
