I got an ims 5.6 gal tank and im thinking about painting some graphics on it, because all my stickers peeled off and now my bike looks ugmo with blue plastic and a yellow tank i wanna make the colors flow better but apparently the gas breaths through the plastic of the tank? so if i paint some stuff on this will it bubble and flake off and look even shittier? suggestions on a paint too if it will work thanks

well right now there is hardly any snow and its cold enough that you stay on top so my turf tamers are good for now, but im building a ski kit for the front for next year, some paddles and maybe put sled studs in them too anyways the powder can get up to 5 feet deep, but i wont be going threw that stuff, those are drifts, plow through the odd one riding weather will probably be anywheres from 4-24 inches of snow, and ill just be following my sled buddy so the trail will be cut, might get on the odd groomed trail if i can pull some strings with the local sled club but roughly ya say 4-24 inches of snow and ice riding oh ya mods, well K&N, fmfs or a 2into 1 whichever i feel like that day, ported stock reeds cages, 21cc domes, +4 timing, 2 into 1 carb w/ 40mm lectron, mild port, lightened flywheel, 0.08 over so a 370cc, think thats it for power, but a -2 swinger too, may have a different in what tire i pick paddle suggestion?

hey i cant get my hands on any GBC paddlemasters, but if i can tahts what im getting so im thinking about haulers, or skate traks anyways i dont know anything about paddle tires is the more paddles the more bit they will have or less? like would an 8 paddle or 12 paddle be better for snow? thanks

ya that looks sweet so they are bombardiar skis with the posts and modified banshee spindles? or snowmobile spindles too? i went in to my dealer where my buddy works, started chatting it up to him about this project, anyways he suggested that i get the spindles off a ski doo mxz or a gsx, the a-arm models and just bolt it up to my a arms, sounds almost to perfect time for ebay what do you guys think of that plan?

hey thanks man glad to know there is somebody that still makes them but now im interested in making my own ski setup and paddles will paddles stay up on snow? i assume they will hook up really well and guys who do run paddles in snow what size tire how many paddles do you run? i was thinking a 20 or 22 and as many paddles as possible lol and suggestion on a paddle tire?

ya i could fab up skis no problem i have an old old yamaha enticer 340, and i have a coupel sets of skis for it id rather have the tracks though, deep snow up here in Canada and since i have a quad there is no way ill be allowed to get a trail pass to go with the sleds so ill be using my own trails which will be mostly powder, i doubt the paddles will stay up on the powder but i never tryed paddles in snow do they work good in deep stuff?

Hey a few years ago i seen a track and ski kit on a banshee in an ATV mag anyways i seen that mattrax sells them for 4x4 but they dont say anything about selling them for 2wd bikes anybody know some companies or websites that offer them for banshee? thanks

hey suppose this should belong in the jetting forum but ill try here first i wanna jet my lectron but obviously they dont have mains or pilots, what do you do? change the metering rod or do you put a bigger jet in the power jet? if it is the power jet how do you get that little thing out? its a mikuni pilot jet right? my bike is running a bit lean and my power jet is turned all the ways out so i wanna fix that up any help is appreciated thanks

im on a budget too and heres my setup so far no name +4 axle i got off ebay shortened stock swingarm 8 inch blue labels with 18 inch turf tamers yfz shocks up front, eyeball +3+1 arms 19inch holeshots up front renthal bars DG nerfs dynoport 2 into 1 pipe and dual fmfs modquad head with 21 cc domes(could just shave your stock head) ported stock reed cages lightened flywheel, +7 timing motofast 2 into 1 carb setup with a 40mm lectron and my bike runs pretty good, i have a desert tank but thats cuz i can ride from my house to a track but its a long ways so i wanted that no porting done yet but soon enough so ya its not cheap to make a "budget" mx banshee i dont mean to discourage ya first tho get some shocks and widen out that bitch and make it hook up, worry about the power second, banshees have nuts even just with a pipe and filter
-
mild port? 36 is too big for that
-
i run the motofast 2 into 1 setup i dont think they make it anymore but its wicked, comes with a 40mm lectron, best carb ever
-
$250 where should it be spent?
macgillivary replied to lastlegwarrior's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
if you got $250 gorr port -
ya 2 into 1 carb for sure you can run a 2 into 1 pipe too, i have duals and the 2 into 1 pipe and the 2 into 1 has bucket loads of mroe bottom end, but the powerband doesnt hit quite as hard and the top end does lack advance your timing to +7, make sure you run a high octane fuel and if you can put 18 inch tires on back, alot easier to pull than a 20, smaller tire will help the bottom

PWK VS. PJ VS Mikuni flatslide
macgillivary replied to 420strokr's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
leeeeeeeeeeeeeeectrons -
yup you will notice some bottem end power but maybe a lose on top, banshees scream anyways though so its not much concern when you advance your timing im pretty sure your supposed to go up one size on your main jet though

banshee shakes at high speeds
macgillivary replied to macgillivary's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
opps i solved this a while ago and forgot to reply axle is tweaked a bit on the left side :@ orrrrrrr the bearing does have a bit of slop in it but i dont think it is that, its not enough to make me buy a new axle though, i dont run wide open very often, just annoying -
its a premix for sure, no banshee is oil injected unless somebody has ever rigged something like that on one? i think it would be pointless use a good oil and the oil container should give a recomondation for a premix ratio, typically 32:1 or 40:1

thanks a ton jim, that cleared up alot of confusion with me, super helpful with strokers do they lower the transfers also? is that whats different about porting for them? when i get my port work done i wanna figure out my port timing just for my own knowledge, best way to do that with and i think the only way is a degree wheel right?

Need help with removing wiring for 2into1 carb set
macgillivary replied to fastass's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
bogs sounds like the tors is still hooked up on the clutch level there is an electrical wire hooked up to your parking brake unplug it and it should rev to the moon again -
hey sorry guys i did a search but didnt really come up with anything im not planning on doing my porting just looking to understand it better what is the banshees stock port timing? if anyone knows also when work gets done to the transfers ive seen some numbers on macdizzys that are 130degrees, is that when the transfer is completly open from TDC? and where typically is material removed from transfers? do some builders just widen them and leave stock port timing? heard there was epoxys used to change things, is that for a faster flow into the cylinders? sorry for all the questions just really curious, i understand the exhuast and intake, just dont really understand the transfers thanks

banshee modquad coolhead leaking
macgillivary replied to sand4ever's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
try re torquing the nuts usually takes a few heat cycles before they stop leaking -
seen the other day some ngk coil wires doubt it they will but would they be any better than stock ones like less resisting wire maybe or can you even take the stock wires off the coil?
