sweet thankyou i had sat down and did some research on here and i got some really good directions on how to do it seems though that a tach, besides a digital one, is almost impossible and i dont wanna spend that much money on a digital one
-
well i seen some people use temp gauges, and i think i seen some tach's too anyways the little lady was at walmart so i checked out the gauges while we were there and i couldnt see how any of them would work really, maybe i just didnt look hard enough but i thought you would just splice a rad hose and connect both ends to the temp gauge, but perhaps not are those the right ones or is there something else cuz i have seen them mounted on the front fenders too anyone care to explain how to hook up at least a temp gauge hooking up a tach would be really nice too but i imagine that is much more complicated thanks

have you run it already? the nuts tend to loosen off from heat, it takes a few rides and re torquing for it to stay set

ok i got a description to give to you, now use your imagination i got screwed over on ebay so im making my own 2 into 1 intake i got a mikuni 35mm TM carb to use for it im going to run a pod filter but i ride a bit of mud so im cuttin my airbox in half and leaving the back half and making the 2 into 1 far enough back for the pod to sit in the rest of the airbox, this way it acts as a sheild from the back tires but is still a pod filter for max airflow, the lid would be gone too i dont run in much mud but some days i get dirty and it could gum up that filter so thats my plan now i also have a 2 into 1 pipe, ported stock reed cages, stock ports, modquad head with 21cc domes, +4 timing, lightened flywheel, and am running 50/50 with 91supreme and AV 100 LL, premix of 32:1 elevation is sea level and slightly above like 800m max so i know all of those dont effect jetting but i figured i may as well list them all in case somebody asked, just wanted to fill you in on all the details now any clue where i should start with a main and a pilot, i dont even know how big mikuni jets go so maybe its impossible, but i wanna find out before i hack my airbox in half,im not even sure if i have heard of anybody running a 2 into 1 with a mikuni carb hopefully sombody has before any ideas guys? if ya need more details just ask thanks alot

do the silencers have spark arresters? ive seen some without look like flames coming out at night
-
well i was gonna mix AV with supreme the problem is our pumps around here max at 91 and dlnoss says 91 is a bit to low, i trust that guys word hes the compression man im lookin for about 93 but pumps dont serve that around here thats alot of km a month man i use it every weekend when its running probably like 60-100k a week and i thought i used my bike alot
-
sweet every week I deliver near 2 small airports on different days so i can get to them often can you just show up with a jug or do you need to order or buy a certain amount? hmmm trying to figure out how much that is a litre in canadian funds

hello well i have some minor motor mods i guess i have a 2 into 1 pipe, 2 into 1 carb now, also have a lightened flywheel, +4 timing, ported reed cages, moddquad head with 21 cc domes, and thats it i havent gotten the 2 into 1 carb put on yet so i havent started up the bike but i am wondering with these mods at sea level or slightly above not very much, what octane i should be running with, im trying to get away with supreme 91 pump fuel with some octane booster added but i want to hear from you guys what should be right, if you need anymore info let me know, i dont want any detonation happening again thanks
-
ahhhhhhh i tryed that but i was doing it in the same browser thanks mat those are really helpful
-
wow thats really good mat you dont have those pictures anymore though do you? they are all just red X's and the properties say they are not available

well i would love to send it to somebody over the winter but i hate sending stuff across borders my boss owns a high pressure welding company that he worked at for several years, so i think im going to get the swinger choped where i would like it to be and let him weld the round housing back on, or possibly the stock mounts but more than likely the round housing, i trust his welding skills to do it for me, he has welded stuff that has to handle alot of psi so i trust him thanks alot for the help youve definatly made my brain rack alot less
-
by the sound of you and looking again that really looks like its the ideal way to go how much does cotton eyed joe sell the kits for? it wont be happening tomorrow, but this is something to do over the winter while the bike is on shutdown thanks loco
-
"behind" as in closer to the wheels and away from the frame side of the mount? i believe ya that its gonna be a biatch to get those lined back up definatly going to be an over the winter project
-
hey i see people shorten up their stock swingarms so i got the thinking i would like to do this, I would assume its much much cheaper then buying a lonestar one or something so i was looking at mine and just couldnt figure out where to take the 2 inches off of it im wondering if somebody on here could show me a picture of a stock one shortened, or let me know where they took out the 2 inches thanks
-
does he use the stock intake boots? maybe the big carbs are cracking the boots and making an air leak happened to me
-
well i just got myself a dremel kit and im wondering how you polish up your clutch cover with one? im thinkin the wire brush then the polisher but i wanna make sure also what else is there you can polish on a banshee with this do i need anything else thanks
-
i got a tusk one take your light and kill switch off your handlebars get the wires outta the kill switch and hook the 2 on the tether switch up to those that should do it but im not sure about the pro design ones i heard they hook to the orange wire too worth a shot though you can always put the wires back in your kill switch

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT opps forgot to post the link -
i know its dirty but cleaned up i bet its decent enough really looking for a 2 into 1 now, want some more low end but the guy doesnt know what size or anything the carb is so anybody got a motofast 2 into 1 and know what size kind of carb it is? or just from seeing them what kind it is Thanks
-
gotta consider though will it hold? if not your gonna get an air leak and blow up your motor like i did buying a boot is much cheaper than a new top end just trying to warn ya i know it sucks to stay home though
-
well i had this problem alot and posted a few topics about it i tryed heat resistant silocone but no matter what i used didnt seem to fix it it would hold but the clamps would seem to tear whatever i used off after one run or even when you tighten them right up they seem to tear the stuff off buy new ones i would say i got sick of replacing boots so im going with a intake kit for bigger carbs
