Bryan was substantialy faster in the good air out East but I'm not going to give up his ET's. I can tell you he was set on kill over the weekend. Took top honors (#1) at the Labor Day race. It was a pleasure to see him work up the ladder. I'd taken a steak dinner on our last bet and he came with revenge on his mind lol. I should have had him covered in the 1/8 mile with my Banshee but he nailed me there and plain and simple would have annihilated me in the quarter had we been allowed to stage together....Kudos to his sportsmanship of even giving me a second chance at what should have been my race. You definetly need to pull arm weight from the lockup but the street is no place for a drag bike and your efforts would be a waste of time because that surface will never duplicate a properly prepped race track.

Strictly an 1/8 mile asphalt drag bike. Stock cylinders can be made to run but speaking from experience do yourself a favor and go with the cub. I'm doing a 10mil this season but have had a 4mil since 2008 and liked it so much that I kept it totally intact as a backup instead of using pieces parts for the new motor.

Possible but slim chance that you actually had a plug break off. Most likely detonation. Porcelin is tough on internals so you'll find some sort of damage from this. If your lucky just the crown and dome will be effected. Be sure to check the squish when re-assmbling and once it's back up and running spend some time tuning. As Jereme asked, What elevation and octane?

I agree with toytech... Sometimes they seem long / somestimes short. I spray them with whitegrease and as the carrier dries off they get sticky and will stay down.

I have 2 seat covers that I bought off a memeber about 4 years ago that are supposed to be from 2005 SE bikes. The seat portion is dimpled. Can you tell me if thats the difference between a regular and a special edition?

Been there done that. I have a piston and head with those exact markings.... Was a small chip off the crank bearing that did it. The race cracked when our alky motor went lean. Better tear it down now or It'll cost you more later.
