  1. for 33-35mm keihin carb $25 shipped.
  2. you could put new ends on the plug wires. i had an intermittent miss that i traced to a bad connector in a plug boot. i put a $2 ngk one on and cleared it right up.
  3. yes, the single carb intake has big squared ports so it looks like the stuffers would be just the ticket, thanks. hopefully the o rings in the intake will still line up with a flat surface to seal to. has anyone switched from ram valves to v forces and seen a gain?
  4. if it has a bad crank seal it could be sucking tranny fluid into the right cylinder. are you losing tranny fluid? or if you have a float that's sticking open it would be flooding that side and when you get into 4th it could be using enough gas to keep the level down. easy cold start and a hard hot start is a symptom of a rich pilot jet.
  5. i hear about modifying your intakes when you put in v force 3's, but do you have to do anything when you have the trinity single carb and switch to v forces? i have fmf ram valves now and i assume the opinion is it's worth switching to v forces? would spacers between the intake and the reed blocks help with the sharp turn into the reed blocks?
  6. when i had stock carbs one leaked gas out the overflow because the rubber seal on the needle and seat was worn.
  7. try loosening all your mounts front to rear, pull the pipes away from the petcock and tighten back up.
  8. i did the easy shift spring from fast only and am happy with it. adjusting the shift shaft to center also made it a lot easier.
  9. i have an msr raptor and like it. i have the shorty version adjusted to easy.
  10. i know this dipshit that bought tracks for all four corners of his sportsman 700 (about $4000) and it was slow as hell and they were ruined in about a year.
  11. i think laegers still does
  12. he needed the parts fast so i shipped them before he had a chance to pay me, and he was good to his word, promptly paid me with paypal.
  13. only go as big as you need to on the bores, if you bore it out as big as you can the next time they get loose you either need new cylinders or resleeve them. the gain from a bigger bore is minimal compared to porting. and i like the single carb setup.
  14. i like my twist a lot better and i've rode a lot of both. if you're not sure you'll like it buy the setup above for $40 and try it. you can always re-sell it.
  15. if they're really stuck you can tighten down a 2 finger gear puller on the stud too, and then hit the top of the puller if it doesn't pop apart.
  16. it's really easy to tune, the pwk itself is a lot easier to tune than the mikuni. you don't have to worry about carb synchronizing or one carb running differently than the other anymore. i would get the 35mm though because eventually you will want more mods.
  17. i'll ship you mine off my 92 for $20. do you need the boost bottle too?
  18. i'll ship you both complete carbs for $25. they were on my bike 1 1/2 yrs ago but one needle and seat seeped and made gas leak out the overflow at idle.
  19. it has to be in gear, any gear, and then adjust the shift linkage (the thing with the c that wraps around the pegs on the shift star) so that there is even space between the pegs and the shift linkage on both sides.
  20. turn off the gas and hold the throttle wide open too.
  21. throw the realters away and get some 20" razrz
  22. if it just moves back and forth i don't think it's making the noise, the basket isn't wobbly is it? the little rubber bushings in your stock basket are wore out. you need to buy an aftermarket billet basket and put your stock gear on it. i got mine from f.a.s.t. for around $160 i think. my stock basket's fingers were grooved too.
  23. how many hours on the reeds? what shape are they in? will you sell them without the spacers? also your pm inbox is full.
  24. yeah, i suppose i just have to suck it up and buy one. the one i have now is weathered on the outside but fine on the inside, but it would really suck if i was at the dunes 8 hrs away and it ripped.
  25. can you get the rubber boot from somewhere else cheaper? it's probably a stock part for something. i called trinity and they wanted around $40.
