  3. my reserve didn't work right either. take your fuel spigot out and look at it. i took the reserve tube out completely and cut the screen part off the longer tube to increase flow. it seems to work good. i also have an inline fuel filter.
  4. the flat piece or steel with the smooth stud. and maybe that round allen head bolt that mounts the caliper too.

  6. i have twists on both of my quads and would not even think of using a thumb throttle again, and i used thumb throttles for a long time before ditching them. get the shortest throw twist available, motion pro is a good one.
  7. is the warpdrive guage as easy to see as it looks in the ads? you don't really need to see it on the fly, but you do need to see it.
  8. what kind of tach is this? tachs are cylinder specific, if it's for a car you probably won't get it to work.

  10. you don't need to heat it to bend it back. my brother had one straightened at a machine shop, they had the proper tools to check runout, and they straightened it without heat, $8. we ran it on blocks after it was reinstalled and it was perfect.
  11. i did a search but couldn't find the threads. i'm going to put on one of those inline temp guages on and was wondering which hose to put it on. i was thinking it should be on the hose going to the radiator to measure the temp before cooling. the water flows from the pump to the radiator and then back into the top of the head right?

  14. i've asked this before and never got any responses, how big can i bore my 34mm pwk? boring and taper boring is a hot mod with the fcr's but i don't see any mention of it for the pwk's.
  15. a single can supply enough for both because only one cylinder is pulling off the carb at a time, that's why they call the setup constant velocity. i like mine but a lot of people say you are giving up topend in the drags. ease to work on and throttle response are worth something though.

  17. no, that's not how it works, you'll just ruin the guage. the liquid filled ones are more expensive but would probably be best in the long run.
  18. will a 38mm pwk fit in the boot, i have a 34mm pwk in it now. the 34mm can't be bored that big can it? also is the intake bell side the same size?
  19. just out of curiosity how big can you bore a pwk carb? it's a 34mm right now.
  20. thanks for the replies. both inserts are stripped out in the tank, one bolt is broke off in the insert and the other one is stripped out.
  21. i couldn't find any thing by searching, has anyone removed these and epoxied in studs or something? i'm talking about the ones to mount the tank cover & front plastics at the back of the tank.
