I know it's not DM talk, but Larry at DFE whipped my Cheetah on a flow bench just to baseline a couple things, and you'd be surprised at how close the folks at CP actually got those oblong transfers inside to flow to the outside. Sort of similar casting.

Yes, when you cover it you're limiting air so it won't need extra fuel to start. But it needs extra fuel if you don't expect to ride around with your hand covering the carbs. Give it fuel, or you will be rebuilding it. Besides, it'll run way harder if it's got the right tune up.

You should be at a minimum 27.5 Pilot, 2nd-3rd clip from bottom on Needle, and 280 Main. Remember a lack of fuel will burn these things down.

Well... That's supposed to be two seperate jets. The fact that you're throwing a form of fuel at it, and that's what starts it, means you need a richer Pilot jet. Temps are down everywhere and that makes a motor need more fuel.

I'm just trying to figure out why the guy removing lugs to make the others bite is telling me it's a nonsense thought that in some cases certain tires may bite harder if they have a smaller contact.....

Always adjusted front and rear. Peps out back, and some baldwin did the shocks up front.

Pics? When you say pitting, does it look like something let loose and was bouncing around or like lean deto?

The 20's blow loose while the 18's make me fight to keep the front end down. That's with sprocket changed to keep the same ratio.

Keep doing what you do. There are several reasons pro moto riders are not using 20"-22" tires.

We aren't talking paddle count. That's another story. But on some set ups, you can actually have more traction on a smaller tire. It puts more weight/pressure on the lugs so they bite harder then a wider tire that spreads the weight out so the lugs bite less agressively. Kind of same principle as having to much swing arm.

More surface area is not always more traction. There is a fine line between having the right tire and having to much tire spread the weight out to much so that it bites less. Love this build. It's tits.

Arrows on cases fairly close? They should be as close as possible depending on set up. Use the center adjuster on the pressure plate to make that happen. Then set the cable adjustment.

Those are steel. Anodizing is for aluminum. Go get those parts blasted and powder coated.

Lap the pieces on a piece of glass or granite with the emery or 600 grit.

It's either heat from the radiator up front or heat from the exhaust out back. I doubt it makes a difference. These have been on the market a long while even before JDS was doing them and I've not heard of any complaints. Occasionally off brand electronics will interfere if they are bundled to tightly, but that's typically with junk stuff.
