  1. Rust just means dirty coolant system. Flush it, get a new gasket, and refill.
  2. Windex is great for tracking down leaks
  3. 26mm VM Which sled you referring to? The phaser or exciter? I just went through hell trying to get a guys sled to run with the constant tors issues. Finally I just plucked the harness and plugged the bullets together to disable it.
  4. Shit.... 96 had all the trouble with AIDS! You must be outta' yo mind!
  5. Bi sexual maybe..... They tend to have real personality.
  6. Same ones I bought a while back. They are killer pieces!
  7. You would need to first say what your current compression is? And then what else is done to the cylinders?
  8. Right, that is why you just get them threaded and just cinch 'em up. But you certainly don't want them spinning as you torque the nuts.
  9. Yeah! My mother F***ER! What did Tyson tell you he's gonna do for you?
  10. Starting to smel a bit like the tuna in this bitch!
  11. No offense, I'd steer clear of that stuff. The boost bottle is only problems waiting to happen, your 2's are better then the 3's and that head has seen better days and there is no info on what domes are with it. Plus you need the studs for it, and misc hardware and o rings.
  12. Try some 39's if it is a true drag bike
  13. Im not talking about an over ride. There are ways to improve a stock transmission and still trail ride it. You would just need a stock cut. Also known as Pro Mod, EZ cut, EZ shift, Trail Mod, Trail Cut. There are about as many names for them as there are guys cutting them. Most guys just remove every other dog and call It good, but there is so much more to it then that. They are not all created equel. My bike had about every shift mod done and it still wouldn't shift quite the way I wanted it to. So I ordered up a Pro Mod from WCR. It is fucking amazing. If I shift it right I can almost shif it like an over ride. I back load the hell out of it with engine braking in the corners and hard downshifting for setting up. I beat the hell out of it and it's awesome. Problem is I am done dealing with WCR and I would reccomend you try someone else as well. Camatv cuts stellar stock trannies, Gary (sheerider1026) is rumored to do a nice stock style, and Brad Tyson who is a site sponsor does them pretty good and fast as well. Don't let any one fool you in to thinking all you can do is take out every other dog.
  14. If you have 2's now, don't bother with the 3's. You're 2's perform better. If you want to freshen them up just get a set of new petals. As far as the head, you can either machine your stock head or do a cool head with new domes. If you machine your stocker, don't jus let some third rate shop mill it and call it good. The real performance is in re chambering the combustion area. Mull engineering can hook you up with a bad ass stock head. If you wanna go with an aftermarket cool head I suggest the Noss head or maybe the chariot. But you will need to order custom domes as well.
  15. You're there.
  16. Here ya go Good info on the energy suspension stuff Matt
  17. Getchya sum dem fo's
  18. I would start out with the 27.5 and 290's with your needle at the second clip from the bottom
  19. I did a thread in EGT's a while back in he drag section. I got a lot of cage answers though as every one had different resadings for different placement of the probes. I would ask Camatv. He seems to have done a lot of data logging type stuff in the past.
  20. I run the vent backward. Never any leakage Unless you are one of those guys that store or transport their bike vertical. I also run my overflow bottle line out to over my radiator so if it over heats I can see steam and smell coolant burning off the rad or pipes.
  21. Your $0.02 is a bit off. A Cub has no PV's. You are talking about a regular ol' cheetah. They are two totally different animals. And PV's do not affect reliability if you know not to tune it rich as hell and let them get all goobered up with oil and crud. Op, if you only wanna spend 2k, port your stockers and get all the right stuff to make it work at top level performance. Then if you ever wanna go farther, you will already have the components needed to work with an aftermarket cylinder and make it perform the way it should. So I agree with bill that porting what you have will give you the best bang for the buck. You could even do a 4mm stroker when you port it and have a really nice reliable motor for your 2k. Really friggin nice.......
  22. I dunno, I'm with N2O on this. You said he counted, but you should count.
  23. X3, those things are junk gimmicks! Only cause more problems down the road.
