  3. Very similar to the magnum arms I've messed with.
  4. Really inspect the whole thing thoroughly. Look to see if you see glazing in the cylinder walls or any silver streaking, both very common in a motor that ate coolant. You will have to hone the cylinders if that is the case. Also, get the motor out and tipped forward to make sure there is no coolant in the bottom end. You can TRY dumping some fuel down the holes where the crank is and use it to flush any coolant/fuel goo out. Ultimately there is still no garuntee. I just sourced a good O ring kit from ATV galaxy on the last build I just did for a buddy. When you install it all. Don't try to assemble the whole head and just slide it on. You will decimate those little o rings on each stud. Best way, is to ring up the domes, set them on with the notch facing forward. Then the main shell. Now drop the little o rings on each stud. Top plate is last, don't forget the two thin rings over the spark plugs. Viola! Pro Design Sammich!

  11. Might have just been o rings. Super common. Might get lucky and be able to change the o rings and be good to go. But I would bet if that crank has been drinking coolant, there might need to be a little attention paid to the lower end.

  15. You are correct on the way the stockers ran against the 2/1. The 2/1 is....... Well, not worth the learning curve. Most guys I know spend so much time trying to get them dialed in with the finicky mid range tuning, they could of looked on here in the jetting section, made one set of changes and been 90% in a quater of the time spent tuning.

  17. Even at stock stroke the math on that is weird. The OP can definitely have a 64 bore cub. They were produced so guys can still run the 350 class as the 358 was to large to compete.
  18. If the cylinder is ported, then moving the cylinder down will cause a few issues with the lay out. Maybe different pistons could help that. You'll have to check things out for sure.

  22. Any thoughts on how to gauge the load or strain a clutch is seeing? Like a way to actually strain gauge a clutch? I see the big ol top fuel cars have wires out of the clutch to the data logging box. So how can you physically monitor slip. So far I can use RPM and Throttle position to sort of gauge what's going on. Just wondered if there is a more precise way to data log. Side note, when I asked the fellas in the NHRA pits exactley what it is that they monitor and what sensors they use one guy came forward and basically said "Clutch RPM, Input Shaft RPM, Output Shaft RPM, LOTS of temps. I can't tell ya what we use to monitor or what we do with the info..."
  23. How did I miss this gem? That thing is toast. Compression test it, take the pipes off and shake them to see if any debris comes out. Look in the exhaust ports, hell might as well just pop the head off, as an over heating like that has at a minimum warped the head. Get it milled flat, and install a new gasket if all is well. Make sure to read directions in the future. I'd be surprised if it's not toast though.
