    Lurching will also be caused by wear inside the fingers on the clutch basket and grooves on the inner hub. If there are a bunch of chatter lines inside, that is a no go.

    Lay a piece of 6-800 sand paper on a mirror, glass, or granite slab and work the sealing side of the part in a figure 8 motion. It'll get rid of their machine marks and ensure a better seal.
