  1. And make sure to get solid cap plugs . Not those dumb ass screw on tops. Those things have ruined a race or two.
  2. Are he lowers the same?
  3. I'm sorry, but the beginning sounded great when you started with actual specs and what not. Then you said you ran the motor against a cub as comparison? This is so...... Wtf?
  4. Isn't that an old photo of BansheeKX's bike. I just looked through the images at E2S last night and swear I just saw that thing.
  5. With machines and welders anything is possible. Is it possible to just order a raw sheets before the PV port was cut?
  6. You're good . Keep an eye on the plugs to verify though.
  7. No wonder why guys on modded 450's are always walking around saying they walked all over 100hp banshees.
  8. Why, so you can put it on a shelf and hoard the good shit even though your quittin' on us all!
  9. You're not in to bad a shape. You have a lot of options. To measure the stroke. You probably will have to mock the motor up real quick. Just toss the crank in the cases. Put a piston on with out clips and put a straight edge in the bore. Roll the crank over and mark on the straight edge at the highest point of the stroke and lowest. Measure it in millimeters. 54mm is stock stroke, 58mm is +4mm, and so on. Twister has some of the baddest cranks on the market! If it's in good shape hang on to it. Maybe change the bearings. If it needs a rebuild send it to Lew at twister. Cases are fine. Clean them up nice and check the surfaces and threaded holes. From the pics they look ok. Nothing wrong with a little road rash in side. Clean any burrs up though. Those cylinders are junk! Not much special work done in them at all. The transfers just barely got touched. No point in saving them and re sleeving them. The porting just isn't anything special enough to salvage. Figure out what stroke crank you have and maybe get lucky and buy something used here. If that crank is 58mm there is a nice brand new redline top end ready to go in the forsake section. Either way. Figure out that crank's stroke and go from there.
  10. Got ya, I've been trying to get Larry at Komisar Motorsports to commit to advertising a web site here. I'm sure your monthly fee is less then when he does everything through ebay.
  11. These aren't the sort I problems caused by cocaine. If it were coke, you would have next weeks shit yesterday! Shame what happened with Jim. His stock cylinder work is second to none. His hand work was flawless and early on the attention to detail was about as anal as it got. ( <anal) But over the last year or so, he's been churning out junk domes, cubs beyond repair, and been MIA. I certainly home he's not moving to a bigger shop. He left his day job supposedly to get things turned around and just fell off the map. The damage is done. No way he'll get enough business now to pay for a big ol building.
  12. Not a bad idea! I get pretty puffed up when I ride.
  13. I like Weisco for most stuff, but my big bore motor got WSM. Priced well and pretty on par with quality.
  14. Lucky sum bitch!
  15. Yes, superior idea! Just curious, how does the whole sponsor thing go? Do you just hear about guys doing well and ask them about sponsorship or do they mostly come to you?
  16. It will be! But, only if it's done right. Otherwise you'll just become another member of the " banshees are junk, bought a 450 cuz mine never ran right" crowd.
  17. Had that same manifold from fast. Nice piece!
  18. Really? There are a ton of fellas running alky through hot dune set ups out in the northwest. What I find weird is cam sets a lot of motors up with 66mm pistons and none of them are nickasil plated to save the bore
  19. Very quick turn around and it looks clean. Nice job troy. Any one would be lucky to have that as their first ride. What's the list of goodies?
  20. Aren't the lowers on the A arm and J arm the same? (Not positive) maybe they could set you up with just the lowers? Or even just buy a whole set up. Might even be possible to hi their website and see what differences you can visually make out.
  21. Much Bette angle.
  22. Seriously, just split the thing.
