  1. I know that quite a few guys go in April, and well every month until it closes. My friends and I are hoping to get down there once a month if we can (we live in South Western Ontario). However I also think it would be fun as hell to go there during an American Holiday
  2. That would be sweet! Would be cool to see what everyone has done to their bikes. What sort of ideas do you have for Vol. 2, or are you keeping that a secret :ninja:
  3. She is a Death Omen. Before someone would die/pass away, you could supposedly hear this loud screaming before they did pass away, coming from her, the Banshee.. ...History Lesson 2
  4. No shit eh, All the guys re-building their bikes for the 08 Season...can't wait for Vol 2 to come out!! I think Jamey is planning on freestyle with his banshee this year as well. Get some back flips under his belt and what not
  5. That's right...that's like "fixing" your jetting by changing spark plugs to a hotter or cooler burning temp....the Jetting problem is still there!! I too wouldn't go smaller than a 13 on the front...I had 13/40 back in the spring and I wore out that front sprocket fairly quick. I am now running 14/40 and my front sprocket is holding up a lot longer. If you want, up the sprocket on the rear by a tooth or 2 and see if you like that. Also, you could get smaller tires if you wanted too, like 18's instead of 20's (clearance might be an issue) and then change your gearing around after that as well..
  6. There is a difference between dripping a few drops when you are out and about running your bikes, compared to 04YAMSHEE's problem of it dripping coolant at an idle, especially after he has just started it. Your best bet obviously is to do/check as rubberneck and dajogejr stated and hopefully the problem lies in those areas. I have only gotten a couple drops out of my overflow and that was when I was practicing my launches for drag racing in 30 Celsius weather in a dry field, lol. Good luck on finding the problem
  7. Right on, hope I didn't sound snappy or anything  Have you had the chance to get someone to radar you?
  8. I use my hydraulic press at work...let all the air out and then slowly push on the tire. Once I have the beads broke I take two pry bars and take the tire off the rim. Also do it this way for vehicle tires...
  9. Stock gearing is 14/41 on the Banshee. So you will have a higher top speed than stock geared bikes (if you are running 20" tires) Would be neat to have your own radar gun, could do a whole bunch of stuff with it
  10. Hmmm, so do you think I should try to run my motor with my stockers...get them all jetted in tip top shape and see how shee runs? I have no problem going this route either if they work for me. It's just my stock carbs are used (had to replace my last set of stockers) and they are getting fairly old. I will be riding in areas where I mostly go all out right before the powerband so that I can get up hills, etc. the PWKs wouldn't fuel good enough down low for my type of riding style? I'm a noob when it comes to carbs so all the help I can get is awesome, so thank you  Dekker, thanks for the pics man...a lot more porting than my little clean up I did myself :yelrotflmao:

Yea, I was thinking of getting the Edge when I was looking for chips...but I don't have the money right now to rebuild my tranny either, lol. What are you getting MPG wise with the chip?
  12. Do you have pics of the port job?? I'm just looking at your avatar, if it's not too much to ask  And if you guys like, feel free to answer BigRobb's question...which is pretty much mine. Is that what running the carbs out of fuel is like? Can't wait to get my motor back and all good to go!!!! I have Aggressive Dune Port, Shaved Head, Cases Ported, 33 PWK's, +4 swinger, mostly all new parts in the engine, new bushings for the front, re-built rear shock, new rear tires, the list goes on!!!
  13. Well to be honest, I am not exactly sure if I am running them dry, however. I'll be on the throttle a bit on the road, or before a hill. I'll go to open her up a bit and it'll start pulling, then all the sudden the RPM's will start like breaking apart...it sounds like the engine is well starving, lol So then I let off for a bit and then let them fill back up. On the roads it is "ok" to happen (well not really cause running the carbs dry, if that what is happening sucks and is not good) then i can just let off and carry on. However on the hills I shut the bike down, and ride down backwards or turn it back around and ride down
  14. The main reason im going for larger carbs is because well I'm actually getting some porting done, going to advance my timing, blah, blah, blah. And well I can run my stock carbs dry right now at certain times. Usually on the roads when I'm traveling between places and on certain hills I climb, I will run the stockers out of fuel I didn't think that 33's are too too big...

Nice Dura! Big fan of Diesels...not those little Gas engines, lol. How do you like your Edge??
  16. Hey Guys, Soo I'm finally getting some actual porting done and a bit of motor work done. I'm sending my engine off to RB Racing in Michigan, going to try Bob out. I'm going to be getting Aggressive Dune Port, Shaved Stock Head, Cases ported and then have my engine re-built with a trued and welded crank, all that fun stuff. Now I'm hoping to get my engine shipped out Monday if all goes well. My questions are, I'm thinking of buying some larger carbs obviously to feed this thing. I was thinking a set of 33 PWK's from FAST and then the necessary jets. I've never really had to deal with Keihin's so will these carbs be a good size? Also getting chain, flywheel puller, clymer manual, spark plug caps, etc from Jeff. So will those carbs be fairly good on a Dune ported engine? I will probably ask him (Bob) as well, need to still talk to him about some stuff. But I just want your guys opinions as well. And how much difference will I notice with this engine work I'm getting, compared to what I have now? Thanks Guys, Dinner
  17. Thanks, was trying to say that, just didnt come out well
  18. Yes, a 100HP Banshee with a 13T front and 40R lets say will only go as fast as that gearing. Sure it will get there a lot quicker than a basic mod Banshee with the same gearing. But really it won't be that much faster, it will go somewhat faster due to RPM Increase due to porting. But 13/40 Gear Ratio is only going to go so far, and an engine's RPM can only go so far. I am guessing your shee will do around the 70's, possibly 80's MPH Range. Also depends on if you are going downhill, tail wind, etc, lol.
  19. Friends and I are hoping to get down like once a month. I've never been and it would be neat to go when quite a few of you guys are going
  20. There is a drain plug located on the bottom of the cases (I think it's a 3/4" bolt head, can't quite remember though). Once drained, put plug back in and begin to fill the cases with whatever tranny oil you are using. The fill spot is located on the right side of the bike right near the kickstarter. It will be a little dipstick that you un-thread. This oil lubricates both the transmission and the clutch plates. Banshee's don't have seperate chambers for clutch and tranny oils. Hope this helps
  21. I run 15W-40 in my cases. However I'm thinking of switching this year to well, something else that is good.
  22. Those Garrett's are TINY Girl is nice as well
  23. London Ontario Gravel Pits, Hills, Fields and Roads 87 Banshee...
  24. That is a real nice looking truck  . How long did it take you to bring her up to that?
  25. New pic if yall don't mind:
