  1. light is fast! the less rotating weight you have on the axle, the faster the bike will get to top speed. You could get an aluminum sprocket, and a drag rotor to offset the weight. Or you could send the new tires out and get them triple buffed so they are as light as they can be. My padla brats are only 7lbs. but they are comp cut drag tires.
  2. you can either add one tooth to the front or take 3 off the rear. Either way it does the same thing.
  3. first do a compression test, then clean the carb and install the filter. Sounds like the pilot jet is clogged or the wrong size. Also check and see where the air screw is set at. should be on the left side of the carb by the bowl, towards the rear of the carb. Set it at about 1.5 turns out from lightly seated. is there anything done to the bike? pipe reeds etc....
  4. what is the numbers on the tops of the pistons?? stockers do not have numbers, and the stock pistons do have different size rings top and bottom. Where as a wiseco piston, both rings are the same.
  5. try this. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...ors+removal+kit
  6. if you bought the removal kit, it should have come with the drill bit, tap, cable, two carb caps and the idle screws. what all did you get and where did you get it. The instructions should explain where you have to drill and tap
  7. they are a drag shock, and they are really stiff! Best shock for drag racing though!
  8. if it is a stock coil, the caps should just on screw off of the wires. Unscrew the caps, cut a little bit off of the wire, then screw the caps back on.
  9. I always put alittle rtv on all my gaskets. To many times has my leak down tester shown a leaky base gasket because there was no sealant on it! Also seen reed gaskets leak without sealer too!
  10. yeah, you adjust the idle with the screws that you thread into the hole that you drill and tap.
  11. none that I know of. Never been to Indiana dunes so I could not tell ya sorry.
  12. are they big bores or small?? stingers or silencers? got any pics?
  13. not really, just make sure the carb slides are both moving at the same time. Little trick I learned was, put it all together, push the throttle till one of the carb slides is flush with the top of the carb and hold the throttle there, then adjust the other carb till it is flush like the first one and you should be real close. Tighten the nut on the carb cap, install your filters and tear it up!
  14. if you want an all around motor, I would send your stock cylinders out and get them ported. A cub motor is a drag race motor with no bottom end, little mid, and a crazy top end! I know there are a couple of people on here that can make a cub motor alittle more timid, but why take a top fuel dragster and detune it to run to the grocery store, when you can spend less money and make what you already have work better. damn I guess we where posting at the same time!
  15. just make sure you drill and tap the carb in the right spot, and make sure you file down the boss so that the idle screw lifts the slide when ya screw it in. you will see what I am talkin about when ya start workin on it.
  16. to get the most power out of adding the crank, you need to have the cylinders ported to match the stroker crank, and you need to get a set of cut domes. I do not like the spacer plates you can buy, I view them as just one more thing that can leak, that and it gives away the fact that you have a stroker motor!
  17. throw a head and a timing plate at it, then upgrade the suspension! you will not be disappointed!
  18. not bad at all! just follow the directions and you will be fine!! I have done many for my friends! pm me if ya have any problems
  19. jeffs clutch held up to my cub motor with no problems!! ran it without a lockup on gas, and I am still running it with a lockup on alky!!
  20. I will run it by jr. He just sold his 125 and is looking for a bigger bike. got any pics??
  21. just a home clean up port, milled head (pump gas) boysen reeds, modded stock timing plae for +4, tors eliminator kit, its .080 over with brand new wiseco pistons, ad it has a trued and welded crank. Only thing is, I have to give the pipes back to my friend that I borrowed them from. So unless I can find my stockers or buy a cheap set, it will not have pipes on it. But I am watching a few sets right now, so I will keep ya posted on that.
  22. whats the reserve at?? I have been wanting to get a set of these so I could cut them. I guess they make a good drag pipe if ya cut them and reweld um together.
  23. one of the nicest guys you will find! Will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy !

  24. after seeing how much room you had to work on your bike, I am thinkin its the way to go. It also makes the bike look meaner! would like two out one side but I am not gonna get to picky for right now.
  25. depending on how the new baby is doing and when everyone is going, I am gonna try and make it out for the fail trip
