low compression but looks fine inside

Darned good advice. If you plan on having it ported, now might be the time ONLY because it is torn down this far. That being said...it's your money. Bob @ R&B racing will do you right. I rode a bike he did, and it was impressive and fun to ride! -
Cant find anything throught search

Don't do it. Weakens the piston in my opinion...and I've seen a few break apart, which I believe lightening the pistons was the fault.... The gain you may or may not see would be so minimal, if anything, I don't think weakening the structure is worth it. -
Did you charge him? J/K...sorry John, had to.

Click on my name, click on send message. I need your email address. Bad idea to post an email address on a public forum, good way to get spam and junk mail by bots and spiders crawling the net looking for their next victim (Yes, I'm 100% serious about that...) I'll have the frame back this week, if NYUK's garbage bin doesn't work out for ya!!!

were the best place to put my bong in the banshee

You'd have to be a complete fucking idiot if you actually said AND believed yourself for saying this. Yes, if you wanna get stoned or drunk then go ride, I will talk down to you ALL DAY LONG...stay at camp or at home. Don't ruin my good time because you want to be a fucking idiot....and can't function in life without being stoned or drunk. You want to do that shit at camp, at home, whatever...no problem with me....stay the fuck off my riding area if you want to fly that way though. I like to cork beers with the best of them, but that's after the day's ride is done and the bikes are on the trailer or in the truck... 1 idiot driving around drunk on a bike/qaud can ruin riding in that area for 1000 people or more, tell me how smart that is. And...since I'm not stoner...so correct me if I'm wrong...but don't people usually get MEDICINAL pot for glaucoma? In otherwords....hell, I can't see great as it is, shit...I might as well get stoned and buzz around the dunes.. It's a wonder some people can actually get up in the morning and tie their own shoes.... -
I think he means "out of frame" CPI pipes. If you have to ask the question, honestly...I'd go with T5 pipes. What is done to your bike in the motor/mod department?
-
Rizzo...do me a favor, if you're interested, please PM me. I'm not getting email replies for certain topics/threads. Don't want you to think I'm not paying attention...

Doesn't look to be the case this time, or he'd still be charging $$.... -
Didn't mean to sound like a smart ass, Nick... If you get a good quality clutch, and use the right springs, it should last you. I got my FAST clutch end of 05, ran it part of 05 with my stock motor, pipes, pods, timing. Ran it ALL last year on my cub, easily twice the HP of my stock motor, and I'm running the SAME clutch in my 10 mil, just using lighter springs sine I'll have a lockup...

One you get it started (can you get it started) does it run well? You need to richen up the pilot/airscrew/fuel screw circuit. If the adjustment screw is on the engine/intake side of the carb, it's called a fuel screw. Turning it out will richen the mixture at idle/low speed. If it has an adjustment screw behind the carb, by the air filter, it's called an air screw, whereas turning it in will richen the mixture. You normally get 2 to 2.5 turns of usable adjustment out of the fuel/air screw before you need to go bigger or smaller on the pilot jet. Try richening it up, and worst case....take the whole carb apart and clean it. A gummed up pilot circuit will flow even less fuel as needed by the motor in the cold. By the way, DADEBOY... YOUR CAP LOCK PRIVILEGES HAVE BEEN REVOKED...

I have run 3 lug nuts on a 5 lug nut wheel/hub... Not saying it won't work...just saying it's thin and I like to play it a little safer, that's all.
-
Good explanation.... It works in conjunction with your main jet...NOT instead of it. This is a must for the alky crowd due to the amount of fuel needed...it's not a HUGE deal on gas, but...could come in handy. Dave Moore sells a new design that I bought...you drill a spot for the barb in the fuel bowl, so you're not rising overflow into the motor if the floats stick. It also is supposed to atomize fuel better, too... We shall see....

66mm is an .080 overbore. The bore many consider to be the last, safe bore on stock banshee cylinders. Yes, they can be done. However, wiseco makes a .090 and .100 kit for the banshee...but, your coolant jacket walls are pretty thin, that makes me real nervous running a ticking time bomb like that. My advice would be pickup a set of .080 pistons, bring them to the machine shop so they can match them to tolerances....I don't have a Clymers manual handy for exact piston to wall clearance specs...

So you wasted two bores (.020 and .030) just to save a few bucks on an ebay piston kit.... Sorry, hardly seems worth it in the long run to me... Yes, you're talking thousands of an inch tolerances, unless you're clark kent, you need the proper equipment to measure piston to wall clearance, ring end gap, etc.... Did you keep on kicking until the gauge no longer went up? What kind of gauge? If the bike ran fine then all of the sudden it stopped, and the piston wasn't damaged/broken and neither were the rings, your compression gauge is bad or you didn't check it properly. That bike won't start with 60PSI... You have a BAD compression gauge or weren't using it correctly...since it just ran fine. I'd bet you might have sucked a little dirt in the carbs...clogging you up. -
Nick, Not trying to be a smart ass, but what do you periodically need to adjust? I ran my 4 mil all last year and only occasionally adjusted the cable slack at my handlebar... And yea, if you're gonna pay the money for the quick change sidecover, might as well get the lockup...

I agree...as long as he doesn't try to pull a fast one again with out any kind of warning.... I still think this may leave a sour taste for some. -
500 for the frame ONLY, plus actual shipping. 1K for the roller, plus shipping...and I will throw in a set of rims and tires, 85% or better tread left on holeshot XCRs, stock rims, gold, fronts drilled and swapped for the wider front. Durablue axle, 6 over swinger, swinger has year old bearings up front (pivot bearings), swinger bolt is drilled and tapped with a grease fitting, carrier bearings are year old. Stock style carrier. Includes ALL front brake hardware, a arms, spindles, stem, tie rods, tie rod ends. This does NOT include shocks, but I will fasten the frame somehow (cheap home built struts, etc.) so it doesn't bounce all around in shipping... My frame is at a bud's house, and it'll take a few hours to put it all back together. If you're serious, let me know...and I can get cracking on it. Also...clean, clear title. I can get as many pics as you want when it's together. I had it all up for sale, and no real interest....I really don't feel like dealing with ebay and the possible dead beats there.... Up to you, let me know!!!
-
Put it up on cinder blocks in the front yard...LOL.. :yelrotflmao: Outer bearings can be replaced....I'd donate it to a builder for the cost of shipping....let them use it in a charity build.

I've been a pats fan long before they were a dynasty.... I've never been a fan of Indy and the whole whiny, better than everyone Manning family. That being said, the colts deserve to be in the bowl game. Biggest deficit in playoff history to come back from, and they flat out wanted it more. If they get the offense rolling...I don't care how good the Bears D is, they aren't stopping it... Being as they beat my pats, I'll be rooting for Indy... I do like Tony Dungy, he's had it tough the last few years...and he deserves it.

Man...I haven't been to TUT in a long time. We used to have property 15 miles south off M18, in Merideth (blink and you miss it kinda town...gas station, grocery store, mom and pop restaurant, and TWO bars...LOL) Be Safe Roger, have fun...
-
I'd go PWK35mm... Some 35.5 Mikunis are a fine choice too. The nice part about Mikunis are removable dump tubes. If you drill 'em for alky, you can switch 'em back to gas. Then again, everyone says...once you go alky, you won't be going back...
-
Roger... Was that on gas or meth? It's getting colder buddy...you know what that means...
-
Anytime, Jer... MagicMike is a great guy to deal with, and let me know if I can help at all. You're gonna have a blast with that little 4 mil, I still get misty eyed when I think about mine...LOL... I almost bought the pingel myself, but my boy reassured me with a fuel pump, it won't be needed!

Koolguy... I have absolutely nothing but utmost respect for you, I've followed a lot of your postings and have learned from them. As said, I don't think it was the money, it was the money AND how it was handled, the bomb being dropped, no warning, etc. As said over there on PS where I posted, I'm not a fan of their politics and favorisms...I think that's pure BS. Deleting posts, banning members, etc. That site truly is a top notch resource of knowledge for those of us that aren't strictly weekend warriors, but more into racing hard core. However, it is yet to be seen if Charlie can mend the bridge he burned very quickly...that's all.
