  1. http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/home.php?cat=362 Had 'em on my gas carbs and loved 'em, but...not a huge deal. On alky bikes, they are an absolute must to tune the bike in.
  2. And I'd agree. Just make sure you get a pro-flow adapter if you want to remove the lid. The lid actually secures and seals the filter to the intake side of the airbox...
  3. Paid quick, no bsing back and forth...it's all good. I should've gave him a discount for that signature picture of his....for sure!!! Thanks Greg...hope you enjoy 'em!!
  4. Because you're smart enough to keep business for yourself going, an smarter not to dump 60 bucks without knowing how it's gonna be over there long term...I'm sure if the site goes under he WON'T be giving out refunds... You're a good business man and a welcome addition to the HQ, Mike...
  5. I'll tell you this much. IF I was a site sponser, just paid 1200 to 2000 for my yearly sponsor fees, and Charlie up and pulled this with NO warning whatsoever, I'd be asking for part of my money back...period. The membership and users will go down substantially, period....and with that the sponsor exposure goes down as well. And to think they banned Jeff @ FAST because Ohton's sorry ass said he was advertising and making money off planet sand without being a sponsor....boo hoo Charlie. If Jeff was the ONLY one, or even close to it...I'd agree..sort of. There are a ton of people on there that make money selling goods and services which have never even gotten a smack on the wrist by the nazis because of who they are or who they're buddies with... Between that and editing/banning people for offending the wrong person, piss on that.... Sorry, but just my .02. OH SNAP....you can't even post without paying.... Sub95 made a comment about having an **18 and older site of Planet Sand** I wanted to post saying something like..."why...so we can pay 80 bucks a year for that privilege...on top of the 60 for the G Rated site??"
  6. That kit will fetch well over 1000 dollars...probably closer to 1200 to 1400. To date, I don't see the big deal over super cubs, their overall numbers aren't impressive vs. the normal cubs, you need a special head, etc. RDZs own dyno shows a few hp ad 2 ft. lbs of torque....hardly worth the trouble. However, Nate McCoy has a good point. We've had cubs for a few years, supercubs for a year, so...maybe in time. Personally I'd save my money and get a used cub... Good luck!!!
  7. Rizzo...I have a perfect frame with title, that I'm assembling as a roller in the for sale section. It has the two tabs for stock exhaust pipes removed, the two arms for the stock heel gaurds removed. Otherwise, it's mint...click on the pic in my sig for the frame bare, I'm assembling the roller this weekend. Let me know...
  8. Big Bore or small bore? My friend has Chrome, out of frame big bore with silencers attached, 350 + ride from MI.
  9. I just spit pop on my keyboard....LMFBO...good stuff.
  10. Very nice post Lee. I don't think it's corny at all. Don't worry, Kai...if I get a mod post, I'll let you post all day long...but it would be like Bruce Almighty when Evan Baxter was reading the teleprompter... "The Prmie Rib roast of france.... And I like to do the cha cha, like a little sissy girl. I lika to do the...cha cha... I'll just edit all your posts for entertainment...LOL... J/K... That part of that movie cracks me up every time!!
  11. I agree 100%. The only thing I'd change is going to a 28PWK carb, possibly bored out to 30. You might feel a little seat of the pants, but...the PWKs are a MUCH better design than the stock "kunis. Also...you might think of a 35mm PWK two into one due to your trail riding/MX port job. I bet that and those FMFs would compliment that motor quite well. Yep, I'd say you've done your research as well, I had to ask the questions to make sure you weren't going drag porting to ride trails, or vice versa. There's entirely too many people that want to go fast but go the wrong way about it. Next up is suspension and tires!!!
  12. Have a good one you old dog...
  13. If this guy knows his stuff, that's not a bad price. Figure GOOD Porting is 300 to 450. Pistons/top end and gaskets another 160. Domes, 65 to 70. Jets are a couple bucks... So, you're looking at a couple hundred for labor, which...if he does that good of a job, it's worth it. Make sure he is going to stand by his work. Plenty on here will tell you to save money and do it yourself, but...that's up to you if you want to learn now, or learn later... A good port job with those pipes and stock carbs, probably high 50s to low 60's. Here's the thing. WHAT kind of port job is he doing? MX/dune port, FMF or T5 will be fine, you might feel a tad bit in the seat of the pants. Dune/Drag port, get some Shearer or CPIs... What kind of carbs? A good strong port job will be choked a little by stock carbs. What kind of riding do you do?... There's a ton of questions here, ones I hope your builder asked YOU before he started any work...
  14. 1K or best offer. w/ title, shipping/pickup on you.... Should have pics up this weekend. If you bring me 1K cash (money order, certified check) I will throw in tires/rims. 4 holeshot XCR front and rear on factory gold rims, 85% treaD left on rears, front 90% tread or more left. Remember, clean/clear title and I'm the second owner. It could use paint if you wanna build a pretty bike, otherwise, bolt up and go. VIN on title and frame is: JY43GGAD8TA084131
  15. Good point.... Mike, I'm sure you can vouch or clarify, but don't vendors who advertise with PS pay a fee of some sort? I'd think with some of the big and small names on PS that should more than pay for the site. I think it's a case of greed more than anything else. I would pay 20 bucks a year or something like that...but, 72 month to month or 60 up front? Sorry...I'm not lining Charlie's greedy pockets.
  16. Glad to see that Travis... I just typed you up a quick note, saw you were on there...saying you know where to find me. I forgot to put a subject in...so, it erased all I typed.. . figured F it...I'll see ya on here!! I truly hope the good minds and people make the trip over here to the HQ...
  17. That is flat out pathetic. There is a wealth of information on PS, I won't deny that. But Charlie Ohton has been sucking on the wrong side of one of his exhaust pipes if he thinks 6 per month or 60 for year is worth it. Maybe for his butt buddy sponsors...whom he protects....at all costs. I'd pay 20 a year, or something similar to what I do for BHQ premium membership. Not because I expect anything out of it, but because the wealth here and people/friends I've met here are worth it. But for all the politics and BS over there...no way. I hope/think the HQ just got a whole lot of people to come over and share knowledge over on this site....that would be the ultimate plus....
  18. I agree...you will have a hard time touching a price like that on Shearer pipes.
  19. You answered your own question....the cub's power delivery is suited for dune and drag. You'd probably be better off selling that cylinder, which you could easily get 600 to 750 for and get stockers ported.
  20. Looks like someone that works at a machine shop is looking to turn a quick profit off 30 cents worth of material. Just use the stock crossover tube, get intakes with crossover built in, or get intakes that remove it all together...
  21. Castor oils are a favorite among the methanol crowd because they stay mixed longer. Any synthetic oil or semisynthetic will be fine. R50, Techniplate, or...as said, run of the mil yama 2R.
  22. It would be wise at this point to get your crank trued and welded for insurance. Standard 65mm banshee pistons are what to use. There are a ton of cub threads here. Yes, the bike will run and probably run pretty good with FMF pipes and 30mm carbs. As long as you're aware you're choking this motor up...and it has a lot more potential... Unless you got a STEAL on that cub, you would've probably been happier with a set of ported stock cylinders. More compression and timing will help it run better, but...it will put that much more stress on the bottom end, too. A cub is a commitment, no matter how you try to choke it up. Better clutch, longer swinger, etc....are all keys to make it run well....
  23. You could always just buy a stroker/long rod crank, spacer plate, cut the head.... Oh...nevermind. You'll be there one day, no need to prod ya now...LOL. No prob.
  24. Happy Birfday....word!!!
  25. I say 33PWKs. He says split 50/50 between rec. riding and MX vs. play drag racing. So..being on the ropes, 33PWKs would probably match up with a dune port, and some T5 or Trinity Stage IV pipes as well... Hate to say it, but...if that crank isn't welded, it might not be a bad idea to start thinking about that. Bob @ RB does great work for the price he charges. I rode a motor of his @ Silver Lake...it was fun!!
