That is a very fine point, lifted. The trails I rode on my bike were very open and fast....very little tight technical stuff. I'm too damn old to bounce around ruts, trees....etc. The UP trails in Michigan and some of the northern loops are like fireroading. Most of them are two car width and 4, 5 and sometimes 6th gear trails. The little bit of tight stuff I didn't notice it reving down quicker...but then again that's not my cup of tea, so...I didn't spend a lot of time there. Travis....you and are I no definitely no weight watchers candidates, that's for sure!! :yelrotflmao: So...I know big boy is building a 4 mil this year, and I'm putting together a 10 mil on alky... I'm going to pick up an extra flywheel to bring to the track just to shave and put on for shits and giggles once I get the rest of the bike tuned in. Timers and lights don't lie.... Boonman does good work, I'll vouch for that too. As does Dave Moore Racing....

Just proves what a little kid you are. Typing tough is for rookies. You're not worth the last drip of piss from the end of my dick or the used toilet paper I flush down the toilet. You think I'm gonna waste time, gas and effort to come knock on your parents door to see if you can come out and play? Why...so you can flash a bible at me and forgive me for my sins? I'd hate for you to miss your spongebob reruns or nickelodeon hour....and I KNOW they won't give you enough allowance money for gas to come up here and see me. Hell, why don't you pack up the family in the trailer, put some air in the tires....hookup to your 1963 Dodge power wagon and make it a family trip? It's obvious you have NO skills, or you wouldn't be trying to convince us otherwise of all your self proclaimed dyno knowledge for once again...ding ding, cars. It's bansheehq.com, dickhead....not iamaloserwitha5.0.com I'm sure you do read at a higher level than me.... or you think you do. I've made it past hooked on phonics, however....so, sorry to disappoint you there. I'm at the race track and sand dunes all day long, and I don't have to ask mommy and daddy if I can leave the front yard.... You wouldn't have my number if I handed you a deck of Uno cards little boy. I don't have to shut you up...it's entertaining for the others here to read what a little baby you are and how stupid you sound and act. Bring your little 250R, your wideband/dyno tuned super banshee up here with the rest of the Tonka toys and I'll hand it to you like a man all day long... (But don't go crying back to the mobile palace to mommy and daddy when ol' Davey hands out the spankings...)

Get both...top and bottom.

Oh, I have no problem if they don't have them in stock...and they get them drop shipped from somewhere else. But...to have a live auction and tell me he won't be able to get my cubs shipped for a month, sorry...that wasn't good for me. When i ordered my cub from Jeff, he had everything on hand except a "cub kit" which is the stud extenders and water jacket plugs. No problem...got 'em drop shipped and they arrived the day after my cub package did.... So..if he's a drop shipper, no problem at all. But, if you can't get parts from your supplier, and you KNOW you can't get them...well...that's a different story....

. Assuming you've checked all connections, I think you aswered your own question. If it were jetting, it would be all the time or not at all. Electrical issues usually rear their head once a bike is heated up....and are very inconsistent like you are mentioning... Also...check and replace the plug caps with some NGK caps to for peace of mind.

Have not started the shee in months!
dajogejr replied to Thoughtshewas18's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If it were me, aside from cleaning out the carbs as bansh suggested, I'd also put a few small drops of two stroke oil down each spark plug hole, kick it over a couple of times, SLOWLY with the ignition turned off. I wish I could just go for a rip around the yard when I felt like it....LOL!!! -
Use the drop down...does all the math for you. http://www.magicracing.com/Wiseco-Piston-K..._p_133-135.html I think for the price you'll pay extra for a .070 set, you'd be better off with .080.... Might be time to be looking for a clean set of OEM cylinders with more life left in 'em...

Because of the buffed nature of a front sand tire, I wouldn't run it anywhere but in sand. I'm sure you'd have pretty good chances of it being fine, but one small rib down the middle probably won't handle very well in dirt/crushed gravel...and you'd be asking for a flat in my opinion....

Last year I looked at in2glamis for my cub motor before I bought it all from Jeff @ FAST Racing. They advertise a WHOLE cub kit for a reasonable price. I called them to order it instead of using ebay. Even though they advertised it with a buy it now, he said they were out of cubs and on about a month long back log to get them in. Sorry...if you're gonna advertise it on ebay and have a buy it now option for parts you don't even have in stock....that's a shitty way of doing business. I'd be pissed if I bought it using buy it now and then got a phone call telling me it'd be at least a month before I could even think of getting parts. PM majicmike. He sells nice intakes with crossover tubes built in. They are going to be a little thicker than traditional intakes simply because the crossover is built into it....

I'm mixed up on this one. Dave Moore swears it ADDS Tourque.... I also disagree about using it in trails. On my stock OEM motor, piped, jetted, Pods, timing at +4....it was absolutely awesome. T5 pipes have a little hit to them...and this smoothed out the hit because it made the motor rev faster...and get to the meat of the power band quicker. I recommend it highly.... However, that being said....I had a stock flywheel (ricky stator) on my cub motor last year, and I won't have a shaved one on my 10 mil for this year...because they have plenty of power. I might play around with a lightened flywheel one day, but...I've got gearing, air pressure, alky ratio and lockup weights to play with to tune in....so, I've got a full plate already.... I think as long as it's done by someone reputable, you'll be fine and you'll actually like it. My buddy is a hard core 4 stroker....and he rode my 96 before and after the flywheel. First words out of his mouth when he rode it in trails with a lighter flywheel was wow...it feels easier to ride and sortof more like a four stroke....

Always a good idea to replace chain and sprocket in sets. They do wear to each other. I've bought three chains off Jeff @ FAST, he sells them by the foot. I bought two gold X ring chains, and my latest non-oring for my drag bike. First gold was for stock, second was for my 6 over arm last year, this one is for my 14 over. He's got great prices....and quality chains. He knows how long to cut it at...give him a ring.

Probably....actually....yeah. I think it was the Brian/Brain mispelling we ribbed him about. Also the same guy running his mouth to NYUK about a cat cleaner.. It's also the same guy that I've had a few rounds of back and forth arguing with in the past because he seems to think the dyno and a air/fuel meter or wideband sensor is the ultimate tell all, see all, be at all end to tuning. when just about anybody else will say sure, it'll get you close....but look at your plugs. Then he PM's me and says look, I'd like to put this rivalry behind us. You have a lot to offer on this site and I appreciate your input. I'm a Christian, and it's against my beliefs to hold a grudge. I have to work on my own patience, blah blah blah. Any time you give him any criticism or say anything that he doesn't agree with, he stomps his feet and jump around like a little 3 year old whose toy you took away. Cause he doesn't know shit about tuning bikes, he'll spout off pages and pages of "mustang Dyno tuning" experience, like anyone gives a shit, because he was a janitor pushing brooms at some dyno shop....so, he's the expert there, too. I'm sure sometime today....he'll take the time to sit down, open a dictionary to pull out some big words, and post a long drawn out, poor me, whaaa me...dajogejr you're such an asshole speech..... Mark my words.

believe me Kai, I crunched numbers in my head for a few days trying to figure out how to pick that bike up....

I honestly don't know what the burr up your ass is about me...I thought we were over that. Obviously not. I have the dyno sheet of when I had it done, and Jankab on this site was there who actually did the run. But....that's probably not good enough for you either.... I thought we were passed our issues, guess not. Far as I'm concerned you can fuck off, eat shit and die... You don't have to worry about blowing your shit up, you're such a professional at tuning mustangs...tuning an iddy biddy two stroke on a dyno should be a breeze for a professional like yourself....it obvious all this so called and self professed car knowledge translates over so well into tuning a two stroke... Take your smart ass comments and condescending tone and shove it up either of your tailpipes ass clown.

Not demeaning at all...I'm just trying to figure out how this thread went from my banshee on a dyno to a car this, car that....that's all... And no...I don't hope it blows up...why would I want that? (then you'd just be asking more questions on here...LOL) Just a JOKE, Stu....unwad the panties now. Just curious to see what kinda numbers it pulls, that's all... different dynos and different readings will vary, that's all. Perfect example. I pulled 84.8 out of my 4 mil cub on stock carbs and T5 pipes. stock ignition, advanced to 12 deg....race fuel. I sold my cylinders and crank to a fellow member, he put shearer inframes, 39PWKs on it and dyno'd just above 80....on a "known" stingy dyno. He's in Cali, I'm in MI...and our temps and elevations are similar (at the time I made my run) ...so, I was just curious as to what it pulled...that's all. I've always said tuning on a dyno is a great idea to get a baseline as well as compare mods.... (I'll still stick to reading plugs even after the dyno though, just to be safe...LOL) Good Luck...

There's an email floating around about US congress. How many have sexual misconduct charges against them, how many have filed for bankruptcy, have DUI offenses, etc. It's ridiculous.... And these are the decision makers of our country???? Long reading...sorry, but very interesting. http://www.capitolhillblue.com/Aug1999/081...ass1-081699.htm

This is precisely why I'm running a fuel pump on my alky 10 mil I'm building... Minimal work, carbs from snomobiles can be found all day long....and a fuel pump is 47 bucks. If it melted the right side, I'd say it ran out of fuel too, sine it takes a hair longer to get fuel to that carb.

Bling Bling Baby....LOL. Just playin with ya bro....

Braxton, I was personally at Evan's house when he tried to take the bottom end of that motor you sent apart. All he wanted was the tranny....but you sent the whole thing. And...here is the reason why. It looked like it sat outside and floated around during Hurricane Katrina. It was that beat up, rusted, etc. I'm surprised the tranny was worth a shit, the flywheel was rusted on, bearings in the crank shot.... You sold a complete bike to him, but tried to sell off the other parts on PS (and other sites as well...by your own admission) and when confronted with it....you said you needed money for school. Not hey....even though my parts are trashed, send 'em anyways. YOU NEEDED MONEY FOR SCHOOL. I can promise you the parts sent back to you in the condition you sent them out in wouldn't have fetched enough money to buy a 10 year old paperback book....let alone any other kind of school expense. Just kinda seems funny now two people have reported your delays to the point where paypal can't help (60 days I believe)....odd...hmmm... I feel bad in this because I am the one that personally asked you to contact Jankab about the bike. I was in touch with him throughout the whole ordeal, and have seen the bike (YFZ) and the bottom end in person.... I also told you in my dealings with the chain I sold you if you're going to be in this biz....either be up front 100% and document how long you tell people, stick to that....or get out of it. I have a clean history with everyone I've dealt with on here. Jankab does as well on Planetsand (cubshee) You however....seem to have enough strikes against you just on this forum to end an inning....top and bottom. So...again, buyer beware.

Trinity 470cc 10mil. Exhaust?
dajogejr replied to bansheepartsguy's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Dude....you got this same question listed here, in the drag forum AND the sand forum.... Yep...we need some mods to clean stuff like this up, Loco...know what I'm sayin? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74509 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74510 -
Either Chad at the Kandy Shop or Brad Tyson of Tyson racing painted them would be my guess.... Trust me, before I had all my shit PC'd, etc, I was very, very tempted to pick this chassis and motor up!!
-
on a 10 mil with 70mm pistons, I'd be getting big bore pipes, Shearer as well. I'm putting bb on my 10 mil cub with 68mm pistons. I have a friend that has Chrome CPI out of frames with silencers, big bore, if you're interested....
-
Since you're saving 200 bucks Greg....why don't you get a pro-design billet lever for the shifter?? :yelrotflmao:
-
I know you can go to Grainger and get Heim joints, that's where I'm getting the heims for my drag Jarms....
-
100% awesome. Had them on my shee before I turned it into a dragster/dune bike, sold them to a friend for his 450R. Wish I would've kept 'em for my new trail bike, 400EX...oh well.
