  1. I've got your 1.21 jigawatts right here buddy....
  2. You ain't right....
  3. Is that 30 shipped for the CDI? If so...consider it sold if you can wait till Friday...a little tight till then. Do you know for sure if this CDI works, and cracks, bare/melted wires? Looking for a friend....
  4. You suburbanite sissy....DDC isn't even in Detroit, it's in Redford.... Next time you come out this way...I'll show you the ghetto....
  5. I gotta be honest, as bad as I wanna drive...I'm not willing to spend 5 hours on the road again...so, I'll keep in touch with Roger on track conditions, etc.... JT...you need to get going on that fowlerville track....
  6. Great... http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USMI...Link_undeclared
  7. Makin a ton of changes myself, as well... Bike ran good at the dunes....from what I hear anyways...LOL. is anybody other than Doug Austin running these Dave Moore Super Jets? Man...do they flow a TON of fuel. We need to pick a weekend in October for our last dune trip of the year....Bob said he's got one more ride left in him, he won't hit the track...but, he's ready for the dunes. What do you guys think??
  8. You know...there are a lot of sheep...who are going to tell you this: "Get the T5s cause they're better for a ported motor...blah blah blah..." T5s and T6s work fine....for box stock, T6 is a better pipe. T6 pipes even respond to MILD porting quite well. My advice is get the T6 pipes....if you start to go nutz on porting, etc., you're gonna want a top end/drag style pipe anyways.... Toomey pipes hold their value...go T6...you'll be happy you did. However...if you start going with really aggressive porting, a T5 or other pipe is the way to go. Sounds like that's off your radar for now.... The T6 is a better pipe for a bone stock motor with air filter/air box mods only. It will put out a few more HP and torque.
  9. Amen to overnight, and the "rents already said they'd stay at my crib to watch my horses...it's gonna be party time homie... You gonna go home, or gonna camp out? Not like it matters for you...lucky dog!!
  10. What's really funny Rog is you and Jackie were talking at Bob's last time I took her, about riding three wheelers back in the day, and you made the comment to her about being old for that. I was like wait a minute....I rode three wheelers...one of my first bikes was a 185S Honda....does that mean I'm old? Yeah...guess so...
  11. That's funny...cause his new "big bore" pipe he touted on PS signed off earlier than Shearer...I asked why...and his response was "why would you want to rev that high"... i think it's pretty sad if I have to tell a builder why you'd want to rev that high, him building drag race engines and all...
  12. How much for the CDI?
  13. Who did the porting? Nice setup...good luck!!
  14. Not sure, but I've heard that from multiple sources... And alcoholbanshee probably knows more than 95% people on this site about this kinda thing. That's not a knock to our members by any means, he's just been around a track and drag racing for a while. Like Jr. Soprano says..."I knew Moses when he wore short pants..." That kinda fits. :yelrotflmao:
  15. In my opinion...the only way to fly...you have the most gearing options....
  16. I thought I explained my "fuck you" reasons pretty well, actually...
  17. I think he's worthless. He ports a great cylinder, there is no doubt there. I've called that guy three times in the past two years, PM'd him on Planet Sand where he's a site sponsor...and not once has he ever returned my call or PM. And last year, I was ready to spend 2 to 3K on a cub motor, crank, head, the works....and here's the kicker, I live about an hour or so from his shop. I could've drove to get my stuff.... I guess the 3 to 4 K I would've spent with him on a motor, pipes, etc., wasn't good enough or he was just too busy....fuck him. His pipes used to be made by Matt Shearer...I'm not sure how the falling out happened, I've heard several versions...but even his pipes today look like Shearer style pipes.... He also runs his mouth pretty recklessly about another builder from MI, as well....
  18. Yep...all interchangeable... Right from Vito's Site: http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/home.php?cat=182
  19. I run a stock fuel valve on my 10 mil alky cub, 39PWKs... :whistling: Ok, Ok...so I run a fuel pump too...
  20. You sure the chain wasn't a little...uh..."short"... Sorry, had to...he he he. Honestly, I'd strip that harness to nothing, all you need is coil, kill switch, CDI and stator plugs on it. (and a good ground, of course) I use plastic tubing from an auto parts store and zip ties to keep my wiring out of the way (oh, and out of frames help...a little...LOL) Get a chain tensioner as well from James Lucky....JT pointed me there, that's what I run. Cheaper than RDZ...and you won't have to deal with that clown. Scroll down on the left hand side and click on Chain Tensioner. http://www.jlatvproducts.com/
  21. Marvin Shaw, 1400 PSI...tighten the chain...leave it. Dan, get a quality non-oring chain, you'll be fine. Make sure your sprockets aren't worn too bad, either.
  22. Hold the throttle open just a hair...if it starts easy, you're right. Normally...just to start out and eyeball the settings...I turn the idle screws to where they just start to make contact. Then, 1.5 to 2.0 turns in. Worst case scenario it idles a little high....but you can adjust it from there. Be sure to adjust both the air screw and idle once it's fully warmed up.
  23. I know...I'm just saying you're gonna have to. I can promise rebuilding what you have is cheaper than all new parts.... I wouldn't scrap it. Probably looking at a rebuilt crank, new or re-machined head, pistons and new bearings, gaskets and seals... If the bores aren't fubared.... Still cheaper than a whole new motor.
  24. Pull it apart...see what the carnage is... I'd bet a rod is starting to go....since it tried to hydrolock itself. Did you get all the coolant out of the crankcase, too...or just the cylinder?
  25. Fresh gas, fresh oil? Fresh Spark plugs? Do you still have the tors on it? When is the last time you completely disassembled the carbs and cleaned them thoroughly?
