  1. Really?? So you're proficient on not only how much fuel everyone's bike needs, but you're proficient on how much fuel a SAND bike needs with a 250lb plus (I think I'm being kind with that figure) lb rider on it. Again...different bikes, different needs. I'm thinking if his bike ran out of fuel on 300ft, sand or pavement, it's probably STILL be just as run out after that...if it didn't blow up..... I'm repeating myself over and over, it's getting old. You're right. You've taken into consideration all tracks, climates, engine builders, locales, rider weight, distance....(I'm sure I'm missing something) based on your experience and your sole builder...and applying it to everything. Does that make good sense to you? I'm repeating myself over and over, it's getting old. You're right. 2. 1. Jeff didn't build my motor, I did. 2. Jeff DID port JT's motor, badassbanshee479. So...even though he's telling you otherwise from his own bike, his own experience....he must be wrong too? I rest my case. I know you want to have the last word here, I think anyone reading will see it's just that. And you've been proven wrong.... Again, what works for you might not work for others.
  3. Are you sure, JT...I mean, that's impossible....he's sure of it.... :whistling: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: I rest my case.
  4. Pretty bad when I have to quote myself.
  5. Dammit...and I thought your Christmas gift was gonna be a surprise. I guess there's always that Donkey you always wanted.... bansehee_boy...I just sent payment. These are backup parts. No hurry...whenever is clever...no biggie. Dave
  6. You seem to missing the points I'm writing... YOU tested them on YOUR bikes. NOT his bikes, where HE rides. Nate McCoy's work certainly speaks for itself. And you already know I like Nate. When he becomes the know all, all roads start and end with him guy, then I'll listen to him and only him. And that's not a nock against him in any way. Tell you what...tell him to run only a pingle. Then promise to pay for whatever damage done to his motor IF (I did say IF) he leans it out and breaks/smokes something....due to running out of fuel. Pretty sure the 150 he's gonna spend on bowls will be cheaper than whatever you'd have to pay IF (again...IF) he breaks something from lack of fuel in the bowl. I'm pretty sure I've been around a lot more drag bikes...yes, most of them have been alky... And Nate's been around 10X that and more. That doesn't make his word bible, nor discredit what I'm saying...is all.
  7. Since you feel the need to argue with me, answer me these questions. How many cubs have you owned. How many on gas, how many on alky. How many by different builders. How many have run 200 ft, 300 foot, 500 foot, 1/8, 1/4. Since you self admittedly have told us the guys you street race with don't tell you what they have, lie about their motors....I guess you can't use them for examples or experience. Guys around here don't. We know what each other runs, and where. On my specific bike, with alky....with only a pingle on 1/8 mile my motor wouldn't make it the whole track. In his specific example...I'm not saying you're wrong, but you should stop assuming I am as well...or that just because you have a cub, or your buddy does....where you ride and how you ride, you don't need one and just assume that holds true for everyone under the sun... In fact...I agreed with you, try the pingle first. If it runs out...then get bowls or a pump. If you're not happy with that answer...I don't know what to tell you. It's obvious this man is smart enough to get an insurance policy...you know what insurance is? IN CASE SHIT HAPPENS. He's not racing in the secret underground world on the street of sit down and stand up bikes where everybody lies and cheats. He's more interested in saving and running a motor...and insuring it does just that. I know billet bowls might be a deal or no deal in the secret world of 150HP motors on stock swingers, but it's just not reality for everyone else. Not that it's wrong for you, or right for us....just look outside the box a little...that's all.
  8. I think Evan might have some 15 or 16 paddles I can borrow for you, if not. He's got something I'm sure for his Cheetah...should work for ya.
  9. My man...I like the way you think. I got billet bowls and a fuel pump, rarely do I run over 300 ft...but...I can if I have to. (I run meth, however..)
  10. I just called. They are going to call me back in the next 24 hours or so. Even though it is a few weeks away....they are supposed to get a lot of rain. I've asked for 11-3 or 12-4. I know it was 240 for 4 hours last year, she was kinda sure it was the same. So...if they will let us run a 4 hour test and tune, and I can get 10 people (at least) committed to coming out and running, I will rent the track. As soon as I get a call back, I'll post it up. All our guys kickin azz and taking names at PS has me itching to ride...big time.
  11. Ok...you're missing the point. I understand what works for you guys. If he has a pingle an stock bowls...but he is in fact running out of fuel...on gas, how does he fix that? Again, IF he is running out of fuel. Not what your buddies setups run. That's all I'm saying. IMO, will he run out...probably not. I don't know his bike. I don't know his setup, his gearing, his track, his motor's needs, etc. All I'm saying....IF he is running out of fuel in the bowls from his pavement racing and already has a pingle, how does he resolve that? Two ways that I know of. Fuel pump, or bigger bowls.
  12. I was getting ready to say, if your buddy has a 4 mil that does 112 in 100 feet, I will go buy it for 30K cash right now...LOL....
  13. Comp series all around. Stiff as a mofo...
  14. That's why....what if he goes to alky? That's one less thing to buy. If it's running out of gas on HIS motor, not your friends 7mm cub, what do you suggest to fix it? Again, if that is in fact his problem. Not saying it is... But just because your friends motor gets fuel, doesn't mean his is....
  15. Keep in mind, each motor is different. JT's 4 mil LOVED fuel, a lot more than my 10 mil does. Every motor is different. for 300 foot, way overkill...but for 1/8 to 1/4, I'd rather have the insurance...gas or alky.
  16. 4 mil cubs love fuel. Get bigger bowls and the pingle. 25:1 is a little rich for my taste on gas. 32:1 or 40:1 is what I'd run. The fact the silencers are dripping with oil tells me there is enough oil...when it is getting enough fuel. I'd bet the bowls are running out. You need to fix the jetting, then the fuel problem. Lean a bike out by starving it for gas...you won't have a running motor to jet. You don't need more oil for break in. Find a mixture you want to run, stick with it.
  17. How can something be infinitely adjustable in a certain range??? Smack your head and jar loose some bong resin again???  Rico, they're cheap...they can be polished to a mirror and they work. Simple Nitro charge is all they need most times. And yes, they can be made damn near as stiff as a strut. My rear marvin comp is 1500 PSI. With a 250lb fatty on it, it moves less than an inch on take off. That's with a 14 over arm, that's a lot of leverage on it.
  18. I got a place that weighs trailers around the corner from me. I gotta get mine weighed...I'm very curious...
  19. never ever stick your pecker in your silencer after it is warmed up.i got a permanent scar. me starting my bike by spinning the flywheel with my foot. http://x.cursedsanctuary.com/
  20. Hell...I might get that tool and compare spark from a stock coil/wires to my Nology coil w/ hotwires. I got a Harbor Freight 10 mins from my crib... Greg...how much is that leak tester. The website didn't show a price...
  21. Your jetting is fat, but not too fat...and there were other problem. Don't know if it's an air leak, bad/worn parts, etc. But you're going to have to find out the hard way now...strip it down, split 'em.
  22. Run the same oil, year round...same ratio..
  23. I got high bid right now.... I can always use a spare set...
  24. Advice like that is good for repair shops and aftermarket shops everywhere.... It doesn't matter if it's 20:1 or 40:1....the jetting has to be correct, or it could foul plugs (rich) or burn up (lean). A study was done and showed HP gains all the way up to 16:1 mixture. 32:1 is a fine mixture...I use that on any gas engine, except when I burn leaded race fuel, then I go 40:1. Alky bikes run 20:1 to 40:1. Usually 28 or 32:1...with good oil.
  25. Do you know if he ran the times on Saturday? There's been a big debate about the lights/timers and their authenticity....namely, if you made passes during the week for T&T or racing, you had to back that time up on Saturday when all was fixed. I'm not doubting Dan in the very least....he certainly knows how to get it done...just asking!
