  1. What they actually do is remove chain slack so your rear shock doesn't stiffen up under hard acceleration. In theory. In the annals of worthless banshee products, it goes something like this: 1. Boost Bottle 2. Roost Boost 2 1/2. AMP Link Use your stock upper and lower rollers.
  2. Upload the pics to imageshack.us Copy and paste the URL for Hotlink to Forums (1) in the message here. Works like a champ.
  3. sean... clear your PMs on PS... Do you know if an LSR axle can be straightened if it's tweaked a little. Brady and crew think mine might be tweaked a bit...
  4. I got mine from Richards in New Baltimore... I honestly don't know if the run of the mill Murrays, Auto Zone, etc. will carry it. I need to hit Detroit Speed Shops next week for a 5 gallon can of Methanol, I'm sure they carry it...but I'm sure you want to fire the bike before that!! I'd hit sled shops, bike dealers, etc., if you can't find it. A small mom and pops shop might have it.
  5. Yep, 5/16 line, just get methanol proof line. I'd ask him what the dumps and mains are drilled out to, just for reference. Open the powerjets all the way, and turn them in from there. Good thread on PS how to read the heat the plug is making...as well as the burn mark on the ground strap for timing. If you're running +4 on your plate, you're going to probably want to go to 6 or 7 for methanol, and remember to close your plug gaps to .018.
  6. Here's my thoughts. I read his first book and thought it was great. I haven't read the second yet, but I will. Should people be investigated for cheating and not following MLB's rules? Yes. Should this involve our government? Hell no. I'd like to think our government has more important things to do than worry about sports, period. I don't know, like balancing the budget, creating jobs, LOWERING GAS PRICES, health care, etc. The ones that are in front of the cameras for the whole spygate thing, steroids, etc., just prove they want face time. I don't see any of them calling up the commissioner of MLB, NFL, NBA or NHL when they're about to sign a bill into law, do they?? Let the organizations govern themselves, hand out penalties, fines, suspensions, etc.... Let the government govern the country, not sports....
  7. +2. Granted I run a drag bike on alky (runs cooler IF tuned right) I never ran one on my trail shees, either... When I popped an oring on the ice, after three kicks I could hear the cap open and seen the little bit of water run out of the overflow line onto my garage floor. I'm sure I would've noticed as much with a bottle.
  8. Fine point Roger. First thing I did was remove and gut the reserve and on screens on mine, then gutted and drilled the gas cap... First time out with meth...I'd be nervous...either way, I know I sure was... Remember, FAT AS A PIG...then lean down.
  9. I run a pump, I wouldn't trust a stock fuel valve with no pump...unless you had billet bowls. Even then..that would make me nervous. I'd feel much safer with a dual pingle....
  10. I flip them upside down and make sure they're level.
  11. Have you Ohm'd the stator or the Coil? Have you removed the flywheel, shaken it...and listened for broken up metal. I'd run an extra ground wire from the motor to the chassis somewhere. You have a tether kill switch? Try removing that.... What is the air/pickup gas set to?
  12. No shit... Do you have a sister??? LOL...
  13. Yep...hooked you up in the sandpit/shout box....but I think you went away...LOL. I put the female end on the line going to my fuel pump, and the male end on the line from my gas tank valve and my purge tank. You'll have to figure out how yours is gonna work. I run a fuel pump with one inlet, two outlet.... If you're running dual pingle, you'll need two female ends, 4 male ends (2 for the fuel lines from the pingle, two for the purge tank lines and use a T. You don't need anything special for the purge bottle, just a T with the quick disconnect lines. Scroll to the bottom... http://directdrivecnc.net/Miscpage.html
  14. Bought some used trans parts from him off ebay. Paid him within 48 hours, within a few hours I had a UPS Tracking number, and the parts were packaged great and were in better shape then I expected. Thank you very much....
  15. See if there is VIN numbers on the frame, motor, etc. Have the police run them. Problem is, if it comes up stolen....they very well might want the bike back. I have an old 87 to 89 J arm frame drag bike... A title never even crossed my mind. The fact you showed up there and the guy didn't mention that prior is kinda shitty...to be honest. It doesn't matter where you bought it from, it matters where you're gonna ride it. See what your regulations are for registering the vehicle, if you need anything to get an off road sticker (if you even need them) or even if you want to get insurance for it.... For example. Here, you need an ORV sticker AND state pass sticker to ride our trails and dunes....but you go to a store with your drivers license or state ID to buy the ORV sticker, they no longer do it at Secretary of State (our version of DMV) like they used to. However, for piece of mind, if you're riding somewhere and the sheriff, etc., pulls you over and is having a very bad day, he might run VIN numbers, etc. So...take that with a grain of salt....
  16. Start with 155 mains, 50 pilots...middle clip on the needle. Should be safely rich, unless Flotek requires extra or less fuel that is unique to him.
  17. Couple things. Talk to JT, he's getting half a barrel of methanol. Go to direct drive and get their quick disconnect fuel fittings, JD. It's what I have, and it is more simple than using one of those multi-fitting blocks... Probably cost less than 20 in fittings. Don't forget to gut your gas cap, and drill out the vent tube line. I drill mine 1/8 inch. I've got new things I'm trying on mine, but I promise I'll do my best to find time to help you as well!!
  18. I would try to cut wires and use some kind of connector from Radio Shack, etc. As you know, our 95 and 96 year CDIs are rare birds....I keep an extra just in case myself...
  19. Here is a dyno run of mine. The broken up line was the pull with the coolant leaking and the flywheel magnets busted up. The 84.8 pull is once both of those were fixed.... You can see how it's all broken up with bad parts.
  20. From my own experience...here's the problems I ran into on my initial 4 mil cub with stock carbs and T5 pipes. Base gasket was leaking, deck of the cylinder had a slight dip in it (leaking water/coolant) and my flywheel was starting to break up inside. Look at your plugs. If they chop out ok, start looking electrical. While I agree...a better pipe like CPI or Shearer is a better choice, it should rev out clean even with those pipes. It won't make as much power that high up in the RPMs like they will, but...if jetted correctly, it will rev out clean.
  21. In the words of Rodney Carrington... "I'd like to shake your daddy's hand" :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  22. Yep...so get with the program....and be a patriot dammit...LOL J/K.
  23. Well...this thread just got WAY more interesting... SHOW THEM TO ME.... A little inspiration if you need it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf80jYNg8Og
  24. Get slicks and a wheelie bar....
  25. It is making me sick I don't have the cash for these.... Bump for ya, wish I could figure a way to get them....
