  1. What is a stand up vs. sit down bike...I don't know what you're talkin bout... I have ridden two potent 421 cubs, mine and JTs. And either of them on a stock swinger on pavement, sand...whatever, would've been an absolute joke to ride. With the front end in the air all the time....you're not going fast...
  2. On my 4th year with the FAST clutch. Beat the ever living shit out of mine, it's down at PS right now making a couple of passes. I won't buy any other clutch... I pulled mine apart after last year, it's worn, but not wasted...steels weren't smoked...
  3. Three words for you Firefox Spell Check You think I can spell my own name without spell check??? :yelrotflmao:
  4. 25 to see pics, post in classified, use PMs...basically everything you could do before.
  5. When you're the perennial winner in two or three Special Olympics as you are...you're special buddy, it doesn't matter who ya are...
  6. On the site yesterday, Ohton said their photographer had over 1,000 photos. And it was the first day of test and tune.... I'll keep my eye out for what comes up...
  7. You can only go so far with the sleeper look. A 421 cub on a stock arm with the front strapped down would get it's ass handed to it by a 350 motor with the correct chassis setup. Losing with a bigger motor on a shitty setup makes you twice the jackass, IMO... (No offense, Patriot Lover, just telling him how it is...) It's a drag bike...there's no secrets in that. Before you worry about anything, get a budget and dollar amount. Then take that amount...increase it by 30%...and you have your actual budget.
  8. Any of them. Do a search on what type of pipe to buy pertaining to your particular riding style and locale.
  9. All stock, as in stock pipes? Wasting your money on a cool head as a first mod.... Get pipes. Nevermind... Stock pipes and FMF silencers with no packing....I remember now... :shoothead: :shoothead: Get pipes....a cut head or cool head is further down the list on line of mods.
  10. Jon Sefarian @ Sand Toyz unlimited will send you some of you need them as well... I'm sure he's at the PS race right now...but..when he gets back.
  11. And use some heat....
  12. NO...it would be a total waste of the cylinder. Get your stockers ported if you're looking for low end. Purpose built bike....if you want low end, keep stockers.
  13. If those are the reed cages by 1dirracing, junk. V Force reeds...all the way.
  14. Hey...that's your party, you tell me...special guy???
  15. Hey...if he's a better rider that's fine with me... He's just no jockey by ANY means...which means whatever he can do on the bike I can... I thought it was pretty impressive for throwing it together and running it...I'm happy... Rico...I honestly don't know if I'll see any vids of my particular bike, I'm sure in the next few weeks as people get back they'll be posted up. I gave my buddy everything but the kitchen sink to take down there with the bike. I just forgot to get him my vid camera....oops. One of our crew has to have a vid camera, I"m sure....
  16. It is a DF62 pump, 65L per hour. 50 shipped is a great deal. This is perfect for the alky crowd...running snomo or other pump setup carbs.
  17. Well worth every penny... Good stock cranks, unwelded with stock bearings are 75 to 100... Trued, welded and Maxload...worth every penny. Good luck Dave!!
  18. Thanks for manning up and vouching for a new guy...adds a lot of credibility!! Good luck on the sale!! If you need help getting pics up, I'll be happy to help. PM me...you can send them to me via Email. Or...go to imageshack.us, upload the pic and copy and paste the hotlink for forums URL...
  19. I would post my times from PS if it ran 10 seconds...I'd be damn ashamed...but I'd post it...LOL. This is an unrun bike as is. new domes from Patriot racing (Thanks Dan...), a slingshot lockup that has only been run 10 to 20 runs on the ice (660ft instead of 300)...and it came right off the trailer like that. I put the top end back together in an evening, fired it up then purged the shit out of it with some 20:1 supertechniplate...LOL. I leaned the lectron needles 1/2 turn and put the PJs where I remember having them last year. That's it. Oh...and new intakes, no crossover tube. That must be it...LOL. I don't know if my boy is running my 14 paddles or he swapped them for 15 paddles...but, no bar on a stock cut frame and unported, right off the trailer...I'm very pleased. He's about 30 lbs lighter. Where I have a beer keg, he might only have a case... LOL. I'm not sure of the elevation down there, it's got to be damn close to sea level. I think we ride 500 to 800 ft. above...so, not a huge difference... It's just a faster track, period...than what we're used to here in MI. That's why when people say...oh, I'll turn this time at your track, I always say...come here first and do it. It's not what you think... Just because your motor turned a time at some other track, or made that much HP on a dyno somewhere....come here to our tracks and prove it!!
  20. I always said our tracks in MI are a few tenths slower, proved it today. My bike runs consistent 4.3s as is, best of 4.22, 4.25 and 4.27 with me on it, no bar. My bro took it down to Gilbert, off the track, hasn't rode my bike since Labor Day of 07...at the dunes. First pass off the trailer, no tuning, new clutch lockup that hasn't been tuned, etc. And he's not a small guy, probably 200 to 220 lbs. NO Wheelie bar. 4.004 @ 75 MPH. Here's his slip...
  21. Just wanted to say thanks to sandman97 (Chris) for a smooth, quick transaction for one of my chrome shifters. Pleasure to do biz with you...thanks again!! Dave
  22. Mods. Elevation. Riding Temps. Rider Weight.
  23. Porting.... Keep the pipes, etc. Open up the airbox, or remove it...you don't need it for Sand Mountain. Porting is what you need, then practice, try gearing changes and air pressure adjustments for the paddles.
  24. Well...I know that is the same or similar color of his new frame, and I'm pretty sure those are grand River pipes...which I know he ran...
  25. DUH....sorry homie. Here ya go...
