anyone else?

I just have a easy question regarding the installation of these things. I already cut my stock intakes to get them to fit! My question is, do I remove the center plastic piece that comes in the Vforce 3's? I don't think I'm supposed to remove it, but want to make sure! It doesn't say anything in the instructions. Also, am I going to have to rejet my carbs? If so, lean or richin?

Watkins is going! Who else is going to meet us there? I'm leaving Friday around 5 or 6 pm!

I was wondering if anyone has boughten anything from perfshop off ebay before? I bought some VF3's off of them. It has been a week and have not recieved any feedback or notice that item has been shipped! I read their feedback and there are some negatives on there saying they never recieved their stuff and took over a month. Please, anybody who has dealed with this person please let me know if they are scamming people! Thanks!

I got my bike ported over the summer, along with some other mods, and I need to get the carbs dialed in before the season! Plus I just can't wait any longer!!! I am having a sand dune withdraw!!! Let me know when you guys know for sure! We can probably get a good size group to go out! It'll be fun!!!

found out my pilot-50 and main-162.

I adjusted my air screw to 1 turn out and it did a little better! I don't know what size jets are in there right now because they sent the carbs to me prejetted for my bike before I did the port! I am going to find out what's in there and let you know! I think my main is a 160 and my pilot is a 50. Don't know what needle clip it is on. Thanks for the help! Let me know what else you find out!

Just got my bike ported by Kevin Herr (herrjugsracing.com) and now I need to dial in the jetting. I have the bike totally put together and it runs! It's a little suggish on the bottom and feels like is sputters a little! Does any body have 30mm CPW carbs with similiar mods to what I have??? Look at my sig. I want to know what you run and what you recomend for my bike! I'm new at jetting and really don't know how to get the right set up dialed in. If anyone can help me and tell me where to start that would help me out a ton! Thanks! :beer: ***I'm at sea level.

I second that!!! Some of these damn young girls look like there 5 years older than they really are! Especially where I live in East County! 16 year olds look like there 21 and up! It's crazy! The thing that gets me is that WTF are their parents thinking! I'd shoot myself before I let my daughter leave the house looking like that!!!

It could be a number of things off the top of my head! Check your parking brake! Set it and release it a few times! Some times it gets stuck and won't allow the bike to rev up (tors). Also since you are getting less smoke on the right side, you could have fouled a plug! Change your plugs too and see what happens!

Don't go to Powderone in el cajon! Haven't heard any good things about them! They were going to charge my friend $200 for his 20" bmx frame! There's a place called Volcano polishing and chroming on greenfield in El Cajon. It's about 100 yards from where I live! They do good work but don't know their prices! Call them 619.588.6557. I heard that you can get stuff chromed in Mexico for cheap and it's a better job because they can use chemicals that the US is not otherized to. Do some research though before you get anything done it TJ! LOL!

Thanks! I talked to my builder and he just gave me a ball park estimate of where I should be at and what size domes to run! I going to check my compression after its built back up and see how much I lost and go from there! Like I said, porting and timing is new to me! I found out that "playing with the big dogs" is expensive real quick! Thanks for the help guys!

If you look back at my second post, I said yes I am getting my crank welded and trued as soon as I get my engine back! And the reason I am asking these questions is so I don't end up with a blown motor! That's the whole point! Timing and porting is new to me! I'm trying to learn as much as I can now so when I get my motor back together, I don't do something stupid and blow the f-ing think up! Thanks for your constructive critizism!!!

Cool thanks! Makes sence! I know all machines are different and each builder ports differently! I was just looking for an estimate of what domes people would recommend! Like I said, I'm going to try 19 or 18's! About the timing! I am getting an agressive dune port done! What timing should I run! 4 or 6? And can I adjust my RS timing plate with the flywheel on? Is there enought room to loosen the three screws?

Can you help me out with my timing question? When you advance timing, why do you use a higher octane level? Does the compression go up?

Race gas has gone up as well! 6 months ago it was $5/g at the pump. now it's $6/g!!! Back to my original question, what domes do you guys recommend? I know there is a lot of experience out there and a lot of knowledge! Help me out! As for race gas, no one's gonna convince me to run straight race gas!!! $$$$$$$
