So I was only reading 110 in each cylinder. I think I just have a crappy tester. I bought it for $10. The threads are only half the length of the threads on the plug. The thing is, My bike runs like a champ so I just think it's the tester. Thanks for your help!

Okay so lets say my compression level SHOULD be at 170 psi. Is each jug going to measure 170 psi or should each one measure 85 psi? Also, when you are checking the compression, do you leave the wire on the one side with the plug or take the wire off

Thanks for the help guys! I appreciate it! Bike runs great. Noticed a difference taking it down the street. I can't wait to get to the sand. I just have one more question. When checking compression, do you add both cylinders together to get the total compression or does one tell you the total compression. Just asking because before the compression gage read 60 psi when it should read about 130psi. And after it read 90 psi when it should read about 170-180 psi. Or maybe my compression tester just sucks ass!

what about the jetting? I will be running 20% race with 20cc domes at sea level!

I am installing my noss head and 20cc domes as we speak. I came across a question. When removing the old head, do you take off the head gasket or leave it on with the new one? Please somebody help quick because I am in the process right now! Also, will I need to rejet? dlnoss said that I have to mix with race gas now but did not say anything about rejeting. I am at sea level. Thanks for all the help HQ'ers!

ON really big weekends I camp at Olgible. On a normal weekends I camp in the main wash at gordons. I try to stay close to the canal as possible.

Okay so according to dlnoss, grease is the best to use and I know he knows what he is talking about. Now my question is what type of grease to use? My head should get here in the mail today. Anybody?

Get a cooled head and new domes! That will give you more compression. But the cheapest would be to mill the head. I think it's about $40 if you go thru boonman.

Definetly get some pipes first. You will notice a huge difference in how much better your bike will breath.

Just wondering what size razors you guys use. I just bought some Kendas and rims for $110. The size is 22x8-10.

I agree with 88. Glamis is always a crazy ass place these days. Can't really relax and enjoy the time in the desert! On big weekends it is just unreal. It's gets really dangerous out there too. Stay away from gecko. If you want a more relaxing place, go to Gordon's Well and camp at Olgilbe. It's much less crowded over there.

So where can I get a cheaper one? Where did you get yours?

I just ordered a new head and 20cc domes from dlnoss. I am at sea level as well. He said that 21cc domes with no porting and no advanced timing is fine with pump gas. With 20cc domes he said to use 20% race fuel with 80% pump gas!

What's a rough cost estimate for port and polish, carbs and reeds? Just what you think an average price woudl be! Thanks!

I am a SH-60 helicopter airframe mechanic in the Navy! It's a fun job. Pay is low of course! My wife works so I manage to get some shee spending money!
