SpyBot is not enough protection all by itself. You need to run between 2, and 4 different anti-spyware programs, at one time, to have enough protection. Check the gap between the flywheel, and the pick-up coil. Use a match book cover to set the gap. Too much of a gap, will cause firing problems.

You will not be disappointed with anything from Fast Racing. Products, and service are great. FMF pipes like a bigger pilot. Use a 27.5 for the pilot, and set both air mixture screws at 1.5 turns out, and it will start a helluva lot easier. It's starting hard, because it's lean.

The black box is the only part you can remove, until you get the kit to replace the carb caps, and the idle adjustment screws.

I live in KS, and yes, I agree that a lot of people can't drive for shit, and 99% of them, are retired. They think the whole world can wait on them, and everyday is a Sunday drive day. I think everyone over the age of 65 should be required to take a driving test every year, and if they can't drive the speed limits, obey the laws, and pay friggin' attention to their driving, then they shouldn't be allowed to have a drivers license. What's the compression? Low compression, or a lean condition will make it hard to start.

Sounds like you have a bad air leak. Could be reed cage gaskets, a hole, or crack in the intake, or a bad cylinder gasket. I wouldn't be riding it, if it's getting hot enough to melt the rubber out of the pipe mount.

Has the price of a barrel of oil increased 400%, since Bush took office? It has more to do with a serious lack of refining all the oil. The damned tree huggers have made making new refineries unprofitable, because of the new rules being so cost prohibitive. That comes straight from a family member, that works for BP. Supply, and demand. Gas can't be made fast enough to meet world demands, and the price is sky-rocketing. China is using a huge amount of gas now.

You can throw new spark plug boots into the mix also. They're pretty cheap, and easy to change. The very first thing you should buy, is a Clymer's manual, because it has step by step instructions on everything you'll want to do, plus pics. The manual is a must have. Lots of very good info.

Check your flywheel pickup gap, and if that doesn't fix it, it may be time for new spark plug boots.

The high/low, is the range where you want the reeds to work best. The low setting would be best for a trail, or MX port, and the high setting would be best for a dune, or drag port.

The chain runs over the top sprocket, and runs under the bottom sprocket.
