There is a hell of a difference between a 4 stroke and a 2 stroke, as far as peoples nerves go and their tollerance to ringgggggg tinnnnggg, tinnnnnnggggg, tiiiinnnngggggg, flyin' past their houses. I mean I have my banshee and can tollerate the noise. But I remember a while back my wife was really sick with a high temp and there was this damn kid that kept flyin' by my house on this little piece of crap. Well after about a half hour of this I went out side to grab the little bastard by the throat, and to my surprise it was my 11 year old daughter on her little friends suzuki.................... :: :: But yeah, pissin' the neighbors off doesn't help the sport...................

Ok, I admit it, way back when 4-11-05, when the cubs were first introduced I did the unthinkable and posted a thread called "R Cheetah cubs trail friendly", and if you have been on here a while you may have remembered this. It had 3581 hits, 118 posts, and consists of 8 pages, so when they say this thread is a dead horse, I think you dug it back up for us to beat again................. :yelrotflmao: You can go back and see if any opinions have changed, but my point is that this has been an ongoing debate since they first hit the scene and only a few people on here had them. Now I think there are hundreds and I wont even get started on the amount over at planet sand. The bottom line is if you want to spend that kind of money then do it, if you don't like then sell it, I'm sure there are people on here that will buy it. Or it may be just what you were looking for, but you will never know until you try it. You do need to go and do the research though, and do a search on here for cubs and see the 100 or so threads on the issue. Good luck man..............

Yeah, they have a pretty good write up in that one book, ummmm what was it called, oh yeah, Clymer's.............. :yelrotflmao: J/K man, but you need to invest in one, it is the banshee bible, and after a while you wont need it anymore, but its a good start............

Happy birthday guys, drink some for me too.............

Yeah, it is way to hard to say what the consumption is going to be. So, yes you need to just go ride and see how it pans out.............

I was told that you may want to chech the inner rim where the two halves come together and see if it may be leaking there, or at the valve stem which may not be seated correctly. Either way spray soapy water on both places and see if they may be leaking there. Even though you see the cords there is still three layers of rubber and cords below that, so I really don't think that that is an issue. When they are comp cut it removes about 3-4 pounds of rubber per tire..............

Yeah, they would be really nice to have, but they are really proud of their arms................

The billet impeller is a much better piece than the plastic stock one. The stock one has fins that stop short of the center of the impeller and the aftermarket one goes all the way to the center and it also wont break off fins like the stocker will..............

dajogejr is right on with the 33's and the 4mil. I agree with the replace bad stock parts with better aftermarkets, but you can also sell the stockers on fleabay and offset the cost some..................

Most people are running the PWK's, but to change 1mm you should just try what you got and see how you like it. There is also another thread on this right now you may take a look at that.............

good do it your self jetting
Animalman294 replied to jack24piper's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
They are a huge waste of money, because of the simple fact that you only change the jets up or down a few sizes not the whole damn spectrum. Follow the advice above and just get in the ball park and then buy a few jet sizes up or down............ -
I wouldn't suggest prying the tab out of the way unless you want to waste time with trying to get the right float position again. Use something a littel smaller than the pin and push it out, I used an old ice pick last time I did it and it came right out...........

What size carbs you guys running on 4mm cub
Animalman294 replied to Lethaface's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yeah, thats what Jeff got for my cubby was the 35mm PWK airstrikers. Now I just have to find the time to put it all back on the bike, but hey spring is coming and it is a little ways off............. -
I vote for the plugged pilots, and the air screw................... When my dad first got his banshee it didn't have that damn cross over tube and it ran like shit, so yes check to make sure that it is on there and there is no leaks.................

Since they are checking the crank you may as well have it trued and welded if you plan on doing any major mods in the future............Cheap insurance

Snapped bolt in clutch boss
Animalman294 replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Hell, I thought that crap only happened to me. I go to work on something and it will be a $30.00 fix but because I broke 3 different things either taking it apart or putting it back together it turns into a $300.00 fix :: Then after you finish with that, you crack open that beer and sit back and look at your now finished project and then out of the corner of your eye you see that hole you put in the wall and it now extends your to do list another few items.................. :yelrotflmao: -

AAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhh, the banshee Mt. Everest challenge................. :yelrotflmao: -
It turned out good, but you need to loose the bottle............. :yelrotflmao:

Do a search, I know there are a lot of threads about this very same question. I remember that you do a few heat cycles then check the torque on the head. You may want to ride it around for an hour or so to make sure the rings seat, then "ride it like ya stole it"

Right on home made fuel.............. Brings a new meaning to home made biodeisel plants. I agree though, if you are high enough then yes it can be done, but if they tell you they do that at sea level then they are full of $hit............. -
Selling my banshee, check out this email i recieved
Animalman294 replied to kubiac3's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah, it sounds like a scam to me too. If you do end up working with this ass, tell him that you are going to wait till the bank clears the funds and then he can send his shipping company. Then watch how fast he disappears into the woodwork............... I do like the putting him on an e-mail list though..................... :yelrotflmao: -
Yeah, the crash story on that front end would be nice, but I'd rather see the video................ :yelrotflmao:
-
Its been to long since I had mine apart, but it should show it in your clymer's, and if you don't have one you should invest in one............
-
That would probably be the best idea that will do you the most good. Then if you want to go faster then mod the other shee.................
