  1. depending on rider and track conditions the two willswitch wins back and forth. the 450 has 100cc and all the latest technoligy just to keep up with something with outdated technoligy based on a street bike from three decades ago. hold your head high 450 riders banshee rule the dunes and drag strip
  2. maybe try stepping your pilot jet up 1 or 2 sizes, should fix your problem. good luck
  3. Need more info which side is hotter. try cleaning your carbs
  4. Yes you need to take the carbs off. the main and pilot jet are in the bowl. you only need to take the top off to adjust the needle. go with oem jets, you don't want ones made by some kid in a sweat shop for 12 cents a day

  6. I had boysen rad valve and switched to delta 2's, and everything is better
  7. the best way is to get bigger carbs,all the thors crap is gone and your faster. Trinity cv intake with the 35 mm rocks

  9. It could be many things. you've got all good anwsers,hope one of them helps you. have you check your reeds, maybe flip then, or replace them. A reed staying open will cause that cylinder to have low compression and not want to fire down low.
  10. If your crank seals are bad it will be hard to tune, itwill seem like your jetting is off. If the clutch side is bad I believe you will suck oil,and foul plugs, if the stator side is bad, you will run lean, if there both bad combine the two.
  11. If you have the clutch rod to tight, the clutch will be partially disengaged. trying to line up line up the arrows will not engage the clutch.hope this helps.

  13. I think the trinity intake is awesome. compared to stock the power increase is incredible, with very little hesition on the bottom, a ton more power on top. Easier to tune, easier to start. If you have the normal bolt on's, go with the 35mm. If you do any trail ridding were there's water go with airbox adapter. If you mostly drag and dune ride go with the clamp on.
  14. He's not saying the gas is to thick, he stated the more oil you use the less gas ther is, making your fuel/oil ratio lean on the fuel side
  15. I think your going to have to readjust the clutch rod first.also did you take the plate cushins out.

  17. I've heard of a bad on/ off switch causing problems, maybe a wore wire grounding out, I had what sounds like the same problem, I changed the coil and mine was fine.
  18. I've never ran the t-5s, I love my t-6s, but can only compare them to old fmf gold series. The t-5s are suspose to work better on a ported engine.
  19. I met some guys from wisconson this weekend at silver lake, they told us it's one of the best places they ever rode. When are you going.

  21. CPI's and a ported engine, your stock carbs are holding you back, even jetted right it's not going to let the engine rev out. you could get the bit that fits the 470 jet and buy the next few bit sizes.
  22. Just wondering if it started easy the first time, and got harder each time after. you could have fouled your plugs if you're running to rich. I would check that first.
  23. Sounds like the trans is bound up, I'm no expert though. Tearing the engine down isn't hard. you do have to split the case, with a manual, some tools, and descent mechanical ability you'll be fine.
  24. Next time it does't start, check for spark. If it has no spark, look for electrical problems. check the switches, a bare wire grounding, bad ground, etc. Welcome to the world of banshee. Just wait untill it's damp out.
