  1. ledofthezep... you were right. Thanks..
  2. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the site? My posts are saying the this month is September!!! What is up?
  3. I have a tr-6's and I am running at sea level. I run 280 mains and when I go up above 400 ft elevation, I will run 270 mains. My needle is set at the 4th from the top. Lifting the needle slightly from the stock posistion for a little more fuel at idle. But it sounds to me like you have another issue if you are spitting with 270's at sea level. We need more info. Did you put the o-rings in the pipes? Do you have any other mods? I will bet if you run you quad with the 250 mains, you will have motor problems eventually. But it will feel awsome until that problem occurs. Remember when running lean it feels like more power! At least it does to me!
  4. You are talking about the air screws??? What about the idle dials?
  5. Now before someone tells me to do a search on this stuff, I already have. I can not find anything on chain comparisons. My question is in buyin an aftermarket chain to replace the stock one, which type is the best to purchase? 1. X-Ring 2. O-Ring 3. Non O-ring Any recomendations on manufacturers??? Also I imagine that purchasing new sprockets at the same time would be a good idea. Thanks...
  6. I had this problem last week. My banshee was firing fine on the left side and the right side was spitting and then backfiring. It turns out that my pilot jet was slightly clogged causing me to not be running at the low end but when enough gas made it to the chamber from the main jet, it would start to fire then. Check your pilot jet and while you are in there... clean the whole thing! Good luck
  7. You are completely correct. After hitting the pipes with a heat gun, the left pipe is 9 degrees hotter than the right. But with the idle dials, is there some sort of standard to go by if I was setting those dials up. Can I go all the way in and then come back out a specific amount of turns? Also, the air pilot screw..... I have never played with this. Should this stay at 2 turns out from seated?
  8. I happen to own a set of 20X10X10 haulers(8 paddle) and a set of 21X12X8 Extreme Haulers(9 paddle). When it comes to sand... I definately prefer the 21X12X8's. They have more side wall for a little bit of flex, and the rim is further away from ground objects such as rocks. Also the 12 in tire mounted on an eight inch rim makes for quite a round tire to sand contact. It seems to me that at higher speeds, I am coming up out of the sand a little bit for less friction. Also when going up in size on the rear tire, I am gearing my quad down for better riding in the sand. Good luck to ya...
  9. You guys were right!!! I had a clogged pilot jet. Now my carbs are in synch and everything sounds and feels great. Now a new question. The idle screws on the TORS system... Do they need to be exactly identical out from all the way in? Thanks in advance...
  10. One pipe runs 40 degrees hotter than the other pipe at start up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong.
  11. I decided that I am going to run a 13 front sprocket with a 42 tooth rear sprocket. I figure I can run higher gears in the sand with this set up. I am also running a 21X12/8 (9) paddle extreme hauler. 22X8/10's on the front. I want to be able to get 5th or even 6th up the hill. Do you guys think I can get sixth up the hill with the lower geared sprockets? I am riding on a 600 ft tall hill of sand in NV.
