  1. i have the tr6 toomeys on my bike, it came with the t5, i am going back, the t5 pulls hard when the powerband hits and don't let up on the top. the tr6 seems to be lacking. as for your problem sounds like you need to clean your carbs, and i would check the line. depending on where you got it and if it had sat around, i think cleaning out the tank and petcock couldn't hurt. i am always doing little things to my bike, here and there just so when i do have a problem, i know what i can count out right away. good luck
  2. i have noticed mine does about the same thing, not too bad, but it does go up and down. i think it always has, and i have done tons of carb removals and installs and even rebuilt the top end, i thought they just did that????
  3. i got the 2 into 1 set up with the 35, i run with a 48 pilot and a 195 main. needle on the 3rd clip. just got it so i am still debugging also.but it is starting to feel better. jacked it up to a 52 pilot cause it would not idle. and i think i fould a plug. hope this helps.
  4. i always take out the cable, then i pull in the throutle and stick my finger in the intake side and hold the needle while i release the thumb and as the slde drops i grab hold top of the needle, and then i do a little dance. just because. good luck
  5. i bought the kits for my carbs on ebay, just cause i found one for like 20 and it came with a bunch of jets and needles. but for singles, i get them from vito's most of the time
  6. i will try it this weekend and let you know how it works. thanks
  7. that is what i was thinking. i got it used, so i was thinking maybe there was a part missing in there, cause the screw was all the way in. that sounds like a useable piece of info there bro. that is why i thought i would post before i took the carb apart and checked it against an I.P.B. illistrated parts break down for those who don't know what that is. thanks. and so you think i should be close with that jetting with the 21 cc domes and the t6's
  8. okay, i thought i would ask you all before i go and tear into my bike. i locked it up a while back, and figured while i was fixing it i would do some upgrades. i put in a fresh set of 60 over pistons, changed my domes from 17 cc to 21 cc. iadded a 2 into 1 intake with a 35 mm carb. i still have every thing else the same, toomey t6 pipes, dyna ignition, the bike is not idling unless i use the cable adjustment, but even with a new cable and a ghetto spacer i made to give me more travel on the cable it is almost out of adjustment and now it likes to stick open every so often and that sucks. i have a 195 main and 52 pilot jet in it now. needle on 5th clip and screw out 2 turns. i did have a 42 pilot and then i went to a 48 and so on, still wont idle with out the cable being pulled out some. any help would be great. so i ask, should the bike idle with out the cable installed. it is a keihin pwk 35mm and if so, what should i check, could therer be a part in the carb that is not there or not right. and question 2, what do you all think the jetting should be for this type of set up, i just need to get close and i can make it from there. thank you all

  14. i know i have a turd for a bike........ and i know i am a fat ass which don't help....... that is why when i race i try to jump up and keep my weight off the bike...... and if the don't do it, i try to graple on to the bike in front of me.....
  15. come on rocky, you WERK in maintenance!!!! you should try and pull it behind you S2000 about 160 for half hour 45 min and see if that helps it idle
  16. i don't know 100% about the measuerment, but i think the hondas are 110 mm and the yamaha is 115 mm, this being the case 5 mm = .197 inch. which is between an 1/8 and 1/4. don't know if i would file that much. rims are pretty cheap and yuou could probly trade some one your honda rims for yamaha rims
  17. the 450's hook up better in the drag. sucks, and as for it being his first time, we need to tell him to hold the front brake and throw roost till he bottoms out. then we roost him while he unsticks his bike. we could tell our friend and yours it is what we call a roost off!!lol
