  2. Hey man, good to see you here on the HQ! You going to meet up with us out at KP this summer?
  3. Totally stock? No pipes or any kind of aftermarket filters? Pull your plugs, what do they look like? When you try and start it and it sits there and dies, pull them. Do they look wet, really dry, etc? Have you checked to be sure you are getting good, consistant spark? Put your bike in a dark spot and kick it over and have a friend watch your plugs and see if you are getting a good hot spark. Whats your compression at? Even though you just did a rebuild doesn't mean soemthing could be messed up... check your compression. Did you do a leak-down test when you rebuilt it? Tried new gas? Try and go up a step on your pilot and try it and see if that helps or makes it worse... 190 on the main jet seems a little low to me for your elevation, even on a stock bike. My totally stock banshee at 7500ft runs a 190. At that close to sea level I would think you would need something bigger. Try a 27.5 pilot and see what it does... EDIT: Damnit you beat me to it!
  4. Yes, sounds like a jetting issue more than anything else just from what you wrote here. Check your jets and let us know what you have we can get you sorted out.
  5. I run RZ Transmissions in all the banshees I own. Its pretty much drop-in. I would definitely suggest it if you have the time and can find a good rz transmission to put in there. The shift forks are a little bit beefier and hold up a little better to abuse as well. - Jared
  6. I had a banshee pushing high 80's and low 90's HP with a cub and I only ran a +4 and a 9 paddle extreme. It would wheelie like a bitch when you wanted, but once I got used to launching it, I really liked it. Now I have a dune ported 4mil stroker and it has a +8 and I can't hook up till about 4th gear with those same 9 paddle extremes. I'm going to go with a 10 or maybe even 12 paddle extreme this summer. Of if I can find a good deal, might go to a +6 swinger. Hell, maybe even a +4 again, I like to wheelie! Ha Ha Ha! - Jared
  7. I PM'd you about some pipes, and said I would get pics tonight. Sorry man, totally spaced it out. I'm headed to bed. I will get you pics tomarrow first thing in the morning before work and send you some pics to your inbox. Sorry man. - Jared
  8. Those are T3's or T4's Def. not T5 pipes. Just so ya know...
  9. If you are going to the trouble of pulling your clutch cover and pulling the clutch and everything off to get to the star, might as well replace the cushions on your clutch basket, put in the billet impeller, change out the clutch if needed, shift star mod... and I wouldn't try and save the gaskets on any of the surfaces, just replace it with a new unit. They aren't that expensive and will save you the worry of a leak later on down the road. Also, be sure to replace the o-ring on your coolant line if you pull that cover. Its a good idea to put a fresh o-ring on there if you haven't changed it out in a while... JMO. - Jared
  10. Just stick an air hose down in there and blow the shit out... duh.
  11. LOL, bet he liked those parts! Ha Ha Ha! John is a good guy, I've had good dealings with him. - Jared
  12. Well I was in rexburg (about 15min from the dunes) and it was like -10 there when I was there... I woud guess the dunes are covered in snow just like KP is this time of year, and you would more than likely freeze your ass off if you went and it would be miserable. If you want to dune in the winter time you have to go to cali... - Jared
  13. I couldn't be a moderator because I would be locking shit and booting people off the board left and right. ROFL. Well, maybe not, I dunno. Sometimes I enjoy all the bullshit that goes back and forth on here. LOL! I think I get along with most everyone here, there's just sometimes when I get on a rant and have trouble letting things go. Even on the internet, I tend to be an asshole sometimes. LOL! I think I'm a pretty good guy most other times. Definitely not moderator material though. Ha Ha! But yes, it would be good to get some mods back on here sometimes. - Jared
  14. Price & pics....
  15. Try methanol.
  16. The 4mil engine in my red banshee will actually twist the chasis a little tiny bit when you rev on it and its in neutral. I would hate to see what it would do without all the mounts in place.
  17. Hey man! If you really are looking for a down to earth, decent girl, how about getting out there and making some changes for yourself to help you do that? Being all down on yourself like this doesn't help YOU any. If you want to find a girl like that, then get out there and do what you know you have to do to find her. Don't waste your time with girls that you know things wont work out with, just because they might be pretty. There's more to it than that. Your young and have a LOT of life ahead of you to find "the one" Don't rush things and just go with the flow of stuff. I usually find that just when I start to feel comfortable doing my own single thing again I usually find another girl who enjoys being with me. So dont' rush things and just do your best to get back to doing your own thing and I'm sure another one will come around. Grieve for your loss in this past relationship, then move on. Don't bother wasting any more of your life than you need to worrying about the past. It doesn't help you any. Look to the future and what it might hold for you. Look what it got me. <<<< Avatar. - Jared EDIT: Besides.. you have yoru banshee. Chicks dig banshees... they vibrate and make them feel all happy inside. LOL!
  18. Check this pic and tell me if you think I should leave the frame red or if you thinkit would look better as a candy blue or candy green... This was my last banshee with a blue frame...
  19. I do most of my working out at work. Lifting heavy shit all day long and stuff. Then I come home and I'm a total bum. Sit around on the computer all evening and don't really do jack. Been between 190 and 200 almost all my life since high school and I don't ever build muscle mass or lose weight. I've tried lifting in the past and did notice a little difference, but not much. Still didn't change my weight any. I'm pretty happy just being me, and the girls I end up dating like me pretty much just who I am. As long as the girls in my life are happy cuddling up with ol squishy big red, then I'm happy.
  20. Because a lot of the stuff I do is a huge pain the ass getting it just right, and there's a lot of stuff I just kinda happened upon messing around back in the day. It would be difficult to make every one the same with any kinda serious QC. I wouldn't want to market it if I couldn't confidently repeat it for every person. I wouldn't want one guy to have something better than the next guy. Until I can do that, its just something I am going to do for myself and a select few of my riding buddies. Its just a lot of work getting everything aligned straight in there and getting it to work the way it does. Right now its just one of those things that I do that gives me that little edge over the next guy and I kinda like just being one of the only people out there who has it done to my ride. Ol blue had it done, but I removed most of the parts that I use in my transmission when I sold it to "theshee" here on the board. I did leave the shift drum and gears and that stuff in there though, so he's got the start of the package. He's a good friend of mine and I'm thinking about hooking him up with the rest of the package since we have his cases split and waiting on parts. Plus I will be riding with him a lot this summer and he's a cool guy. We'll see. One thing I will tell you is that it all starts with an RZ transmission, not the banshee transmission. =)
  21. You can contact your local DMV and have them issue you a VIN and either tag the frame with a metal tag or etch the number into the frame or pound it in with some stamps. I usually etch the number in with a dremel engraving tool, then also weld a plate onto the frame somewhere else, and have the VIN pounded into the plate I weld in, along with my name, and some other information. Dates, etc. You can actually hide little plates like that in a couple places on a banshee frame and if someone steals it, unless the strip to the frame, they won't find them. I do it to all my stuff. I even hide name and initials in my engines and have either my name or initials on almost every part on my bike, should it ever get stolen. I would get insurance money, plus if I ever think i find the parts on down the road, i have a way to prove if they are mine or not. - Jared
  22. I think you have a serious problem if you have premix that sits around that long. I suggest you ride more. I don't think I ever have tanks of any kinda fuel around for more than 2 weeks without needing to be refilled. LOL!
  23. I've been putting springs and some other stuff in my transmissions for a long time now and I was so pissed off that I didn't pattent the ideas I came up with before all this dunable override nonsense started. When I first started hearing about them I got one from a friend who got one and a lot of the crap they do to them was the same sorta stuff I had been doing. I was so mad. LOL! Oh well. I still have some stuff I've done to my transmissions I haven't seen anyone else do yet. Garuntee mine shifts a LOT smoother than most other banshees out there. He He He! There's people who have ridden ol blue over on dunereview who would attest to that too.
  24. You won't have any trouble sleeping in an enclosed trailer, that's what rick and I do most nights out there. I crash in a sleeping bag and he carries a couch with a fold out bed on it. works pretty good. But yeah... camping in an enclosed trailer would work fine for you. - Jared
