It wasn't directed at anyone in particular, actually just the opposite. I saw a lot of that "I know everything there is to know about a banshee" crap over there all the freaking time. Leave that stuff over there. We are a great team who work together to help others out over here and we don't need that kinda attitude. I'm just starting to change one of my banshees over to Methanol and its been a headache and a half getting used to tuning methanol at 7500ft elevation and 0-20

PM a guy named "Lee" here on the HQ. I'm sure he wouldn't charge you anywhere near as much to advertise here on the HQ, and I'd be willing to bet that you could probably keep most of your same clientel and maybe even gain some new people from the HQ. Give him a hollar, he's the gatekeeper for the HQ. - Jared

Whats your current setup? You might have some other parts you could use... If you are going with new everything, look to be spending about $2500 when its all said and done. There's always parts you don't realize you are going to need. I've built quite a few 4mil bikes and that's usually what I end up spending around on the engine, sometimes more if it needs suspension done as well. - Jared

Nothing wrong with snomo powered quads. Personally I wouldn't want one just because its an automatic. I like gears. I'm actually working on a triple right now. I have the crank, cylinders, carbs, electrical, etc from an 800 triple and I'm having mattoon make me a set of billet cases for it. Then the hard part is going to be finding a transmission and clutch strong enough to handle the beast. Going to have to go all billet in the tranny. Its going to be a mess for a year or two before its all up and running how I hope. - Jared

I also wanted to say... good for Jeff. He's a great guy and was just tyring to do business, too bad for ol charlie and planetsand, because they weren't making some kinda % off jeff and his company with some advertising. Jeff, you are a welcome addition to the HQ and feel free to sell anything and everything you want through PM's. LOL! I love the HQ.

I just hope that HQ doens't fill up with all the assholes from PS that think they are total gods with the banshee and start forming their little groups on here and telling people "THIS is what you HAVE to do..." I hate that shit. We are all pretty good at working together here and helping people out with problems and such, and I hope it stays that way. I don't mind PS memebers comming here, but leave your bullshit over there with charlie and his fees. :thumbsup:

Personally I think its a bunch of bullshit. That site was full of great information, but like others have said, you can get that information just about anywhere if you ar willing to go look for it. He just seems greedy to me. I would have loved to post some stuff for sale over there, but you can't even make a post in the topics that are still open without a subscription. If you ask me he just fucked himself in the ass with that move because he's losing a LOT of business and he totally fucked all of the sponsors over there becaus they aren't even going to be getting half of the exposure they used to get over there.

Oh yeah... I would have loved to post this over on planetsand.com if they hadn't gone and fucked that forum by charging people. So I guess planetsand.com is just going to miss out of a lot of business... LOL

The caps and slides don't come with the carbs. I would prefer someone trade me for a set of normal 35PWK's. I guess if you buy the carbs I can include the caps and slides, but I would really rather just trade someone. - Jared

OK I'm sick of messing with this thing on methanol so I'm putting it on race gas. I can't ride it in the cold temps we have around here when its on methanol and there have been more than a few days when I could have been out riding, but couldn't because of the carbs... I'll make someone a deal... I will trade straight across for a set of Keihin 35 PWK Airstrykers set up for gas, if I keep the billet carb bowls. I will sell the whole setup: 35mm Keihin PWK Airstryker Carbs set up for alky, w/ powerjets, billet bowls, 5-way T for purging, the purge tank I made, and an assortment of alky jets from .098 up to .125 for $350 with shipping. I would prefer to just trade straight across for a normal set of 35PWK Airstrykers so I can keep the billet bowls. I would probably even consider a trade for a set of normal 35PWK's. If I trade though, I'm going to keep the billet bowls. Oh yeah... I don't use mikuni, I will only trade for keihin carbs. - Jared

I've never tried it like that, but I would guess they probably wouldn't be the best with a single carb... CPI's are more of a high midrange and to end pipe, so trying to run them with a low-end setup probably wouldn't be the best. Yeah, it will probably work, but not how you would really expect them to work... - Jared

Must be nice... I've had them with up over 200psi compression and they get to be a bitch to kick over when they get up there. Especially if you are fucking around with jetting and don't have things dialed in yet. LOL! - Jared
