  1. I've always felt like I had more adjustment with the keihin's, but maybe that's just me. I feel like I can do more fine tuning with the keihin carbs. Maybe I'm just crazy. I've never liked mikuni carbs.
  2. Sounds good.
  3. No where I ride requires a flag, but I'd probably take one.
  4. Guy seems legit, he even posted a copy of the shipping crap. I'd just give it some time. Shipping across the border takes time.
  5. OK, I know I had some PM's about this, but I deleted my whole inbox and lost all of them. The person I had who said they would buy everything never sent paypal, so I'm listing again. Sorry if you PM'd me about the top end before, I would have let you know it was still for sale if I hadn't deleted my PM's. If you are still interested, let me know! It had the heat cycles, and about a couple hours of riding time on this top end and its been sitting in my garage since then. 2006 Top End Cylinders Pistons Head $300 shipped for the whole thing.
  6. Same here... I thought he was talking about those bolts that hold the springs in place... I just get them tight and call it good. I never wrench down on them really hard. If he's talking about the little bolts on the cams on the lockup itself, I dunno, I would want those bitches fucking tight as hell so they didn't come loose and fuck my shit up.
  7. I haven't checked the torque on those particular bolts when I install them for a while now. I just put them in there tight and call it good.
  8. Shouldn't have problems... I spill gas and crap on my polished parts a lot and its never done anything to them.
  9. Yeah, the spark plug access with CPI's is a royal pain. I love the curve the shearers have right there.
  10. similar to a dick asshole, but not quite the same.
  11. Ha Ha! That made me crack up. It would be the perfect pipe if you could get the fit and looks of the shearers on the CPI pipes. Personally I like the silencers and the way the stingers run on the shearers. I'm trying to figure out a way I can stick the stinger and selcencers from the shearers on my CPI's. That would be the perfect pipe I think... that's just me though. odaen, I don't hold anything against you, you're a smart guy and contribute a lot to this board. I know I'm an asshole dick a lot of times. Sorry. - Jared
  12. I run both shearer and CPI and I've had better experiences witht he CPI's for dune riding. Both are great pipes, and the engineering and fit on the shearer is better, but if you do dune riding I would recommend the CPI's. Just my $.02 from running both of a dune-ported 4mil.
  13. I will stand by kyle and this engine. This thing is an awesome runner and you will not be disappointed. I'm trying to get some $$ together to pick this thing up from him, but it will make whoever gets it happy. Great guy and doesn't BS on anything. - Jared
  14. Just a clarification... its just the engine, not a whole banshee. I've seen this thing run in person and its retardedly fast. I know the owner and he takes miticulous care of this thing. I've got vidoe and plenty of pics of this thing in action if anyone doubts how it runs. - Jared
  15. I run extremes and won't ever go any other way. EDIT: Mostly because I abuse the shit out of my paddles. I take them down dirt roads, down paved roads... I don't usually change my paddles out unless I'm going to my ranch, then I put on my razrs. The extremes are the only ones I've found that won't shred and tear all apart when I take them off-sand. I won't ever go with another paddle.
  16. Yeah, but its the straigh-cut gears I would want to put on at the same time I did the basket that would jack the price up a bit. LOL
  17. When I drag race I stand on my rear grab bar for take-off. Its the best way to do it.
  18. I'd guess stator problem or flywheel issues. Probably wiring or stator. I've seen soooo many stators go bad, they are the first thing I try and replace with a spare when I lose spart. 9/10 times its the stator that's gone bad.
  19. I bet they are pricey. Would be nice to have the replacable parts though. I've trashed quite a few stockers over the years. Haven't ever just dropped the coin for a billet piece. Will probably have to do that this year I guess. - Jared
  20. I wouldn't even want to imagine that thing when you hook up and the front end comes up. Imagine balancing a shee on one tire in the rear during a wheelie... no thanks.
  21. Or you could just run methanol. It loves compression and timing. I'm eager to try the red banshee at some lower altitudes to see what I can get out of it. I'm at 190lbs and at 7500ft elev. Thing would be ungodly at lower elevations.
  22. BUMP for a buddy! I could make some serious explosives if you really want to actually blow them up. I did way too much of that kinda stuff in high school, and have an abandoned quary not far from our ranch. - Jared
  23. LOL, I remember doing that shit. Ha Ha! Just took the gasket from my K&T ported cubs and laid it on my cases and took some of the material out of there. Not all of it, but some. I didn't notice any difference afterwards. Ha Ha!
  24. Naw, you didn't need that rubber on thre to get you home... LOL!
