  1. CPI's will pass at Silver Lake. The rule is 94 db, but they will tolerate up to about 98. There are way louder four strokes that get in than CPI piped Banshee's. Pipes won't flow that much different w/the Sparky's, just make sure they don't get gummed up.
  2. Silencers alone will only make your quad louder. If you want power gain you need pipes and silencers. For all round riding I'd go Toomey T-5's, FMF Fattys, Pro-Circuit's. For low end go w/PT Mids. Do a search on any one of these to find more info.
  3. $150 to $200. Had a set of nickel plated FMF's and silencers that had no dings in them just normal shit nickel plate was shot, only got $150 out of em.
  4. Klotz Benol(spellcheck) I believe is a straight castor oil.
  5. Why wouldn't the Duncan's badmouth the v-forces???? I am sure if you call Toomey, they will tell you to call FMF or CPI because their product is better right? The main differences between the two are the snap together design, rather than the screws, and the reeds on the 3's are now symmetrical, so you don't have to have two different size reeds for replacement any more.
  6. Go to a site that sells oem Polaris parts and look at their Microfiche. That will show you exactly how it is setup.
  7. My point was actually that his test was not a good one. I by no means meant to say that exact combo of gearing would get you there, I wouldn't know. What I meant was that gear ratio and RPM's could come into the equation and make the difference between two piped banshees. Could you hit 110 on a piped banshee in a stock frame if you could hypothetically gear it that high and get a push start to actually be able to take off in first?......I highly doubt it before something breaks.
  8. I also put a thin coat on everything during assembly. I asked if you caked it on.
  9. I second an 8 paddle. And I second the scat-trac.
  10. Your test holds no merit. What gearing are you using, how many RPM's does your motor rev to? I agrre w/you that most people who say their banshee goes 110 is bullshiting, but what happens if you run a 17 tooth front, and 38 rear sprocket w/almost limitless room and your motor revs to 10,500 or 11,000 RPM's? You might just hit 110. Not trying to be a dick, just some food for thought.
  11. I would have to disagree w/you on the break in part. I would run a richer fuel/air ratio, but not fuel/oil ratio. You don't cake the 2 stroke oil on when you put together a top end do you?
  12. I second the TRX5 pipe. Very good all round pipe, and if ported correctly will even respond real well and give good top end. And I don't usually get into the shit arguments, but as far as I have read, everyone should have something shitty to say about you Rscheprick! I think www.cocksuckersandscamartists.com is a more suitable place for you to hang out. I for one don't buy your bullshit and you still have the nerve to post and hang out here. I know better now, but if I got ripped off by your punk ass, I would hunt you down on principle alone no matter what the cost. Better watch who you fuck w/homie, someone will eventually take it very seriously and you are going to wish you never fucked around. I appologize to you trail rider for mucking up your thread over this Joker, but I couldn't contain myself.
  13. I can give you a few disadvantages of running 20:1. Sticky rings, cost of more oil, and the fact(as mentioned above) that it is not necessary w/todays oils. I run 40:1 w/Klotz supertechniplate and feel very confident doing so. Haven't had any problems.
  14. Will be there Saturday for sure, just seeing if anyone else is going?
  15. What the hell is a Jerry Can?
  16. What is he using for an intake? I have had no problems w/mine either, but have heard of several people having problems because the particular intake they use does not put pressure on the middle insert that holds the reeds in.
  17. What's in it? Could have anywhere from 200's to 220's I believe. Find out where you're at and we can go from there. I would think you should be at 180's or 190's.
  18. That's my question, sounds like they are alky carbs.
  19. I think you will be fat at 280, especially w/ a foam filter. It won't hurt though, you can always go down from there. I thing dajogerjr is pretty close.
  20. Religion as a topic on the HQ???
  21. Well. maybe that was you. I was riding the red Banshee, no graphics, w/chrome extended swinger. Was breaking it in so by time it was ready to make a couple passes, everyone was gone.
  22. I was told by my builder to use Toomey clutch springs if I didn't go w/a lockup. Toomey springs are stiffer than any other HD spring out there. Quite a workout.
  23. Is that what you previously ran before bumping the timing, or is everything new? That sounds close for your elevation. Fatty's like a little bigger pilot, but at your elevation you might be able to get away w/closing your airscrews down a bit. Needle in stock pos, maybe move clip down one toward the pointed end.
