  1. As mentioned above, w/an 8 inch rim, you have lots of room for adjustment. I would also start at 4 and go from there.
  2. I have successfully run fuel filters on a alky setup, but I run a pump. You have to get the right ones. I wasn't going to use them untill I bought a can of alky w/lots of sediment in it last year. Was the first time I started the motor after assembly, whole motor and carbs was squeaky clean. One side was not firing right, took the carbs apart and had dirt in the bowls which clogged the pilot jet. I cleaned the carbs, installed the filters, and never had another problem all season. IMO. they are not a waste of money. If you are not running alky, you will be fine w/o a pingle. You will get mixed thoughts on both of these issues.
  3. Shayne, have you ordered your pipes yet? I am assuming you are going Shearer. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but It took nine weeks to get mine. Supposedly held up at the chromers...
  4. Yes, they sell Methanol. And they are usually very fair priced as well!
  5. Out of curiosity, why a super cub?
  6. There is a Cheetah for sale on the board right now. If you want to go new, call your favorite builder, they would be more than happy to set you up w/one.
  7. 7500 is overpriceced in my opinion. Keep your eyes open, there are plenty of deals to be had out there.
  8. I have seen bad air leaks cause this as well. I would not concentrate on the wiring.....Yet. Since you switched them. If you have the means to do a leak down test, do it. If not, you may want to look at Docjwatson's Thread on making a tester setup. Double check your airscrews and all the jets, needles, slides, etc. and make sure they are all the same and make sure, again, your pilot jet on that side is not clogged. I have put squeaky clean carbs together to find I had debris in the can of fuel I purchased and clogged up the pilot immediately. Just pay attention to the what is in the bowl, etc. while you are looking everything over. Make sure the slides are in sync.
  9. Call Jeff, he will help you. He would much rather help you get your setup correct than have you making posts like this.
  10. I have run .037 no problem on stock cyl setup. I would be fine w/.040. JMO. If you look at the dome there is an actual "band"on the outside radius of the dome. It then opens up into its concave shape. that flat area of the dome is the squish band. Squish is just short for squish clearance. It is the closest part of the dome to the piston and this is where you measure your clearance so your piston won't smash into the dome.
  11. You do not need the resistor plug for the stock CDI.
  12. A combination of both. It would want to flip you over on your back when launching and under hard acceleration. Once you do get going it will kill your top end... Look for some buffed 10 paddle extremes, you could even run an 8 over w/those. Actually I have seen guys run a 10 over and get good traction w/72 rollout 10 extreme... If you were going to be talking full on drag port alky motor I would look toward a 12 extreme....but not w/a six over arm.
  13. I would say a little much w/a +6 swinger. If you had a 10 or so, they would work, but still prolly not optimal. A 10 paddle should be enough for that length swinger.
  14. Can you provide some details when you hear back from Milan?
  15. Here are pictures of the paddles. These have been sitting around a while, bought to change over to Honda rims for my R and never did. They are used but good condition. I included a picture of a spot i hand polished w/mothers in about 2 minutes. Will clean up nice if you wanted to off the tecate rims.
  16. I have a set of stock headlights that work great but no plastic grilles you can have for $55 shipped.
  17. No gasket bro. That may be why it is overheating, but could possibly have other issues as well. It goes head, orings, jugs....
  18. The bad thing about a 7 mil is it cost about the same to build as a 10 mil. So unless you are right at a cc cutoff for a local class might as well build the 10.
  19. I have some 10 paddle haulers, I believe they are 20 inch, on rims for a tecate. If you can pick them up at a Greyhound terminal or want to pick em up you can have them for $110 through greyhound or $100 picked up.
  20. It's a no link.
  21. I wasn't saying anything about anyone in particular and not even specifically speaking about the responses in this thread. From looking over a whole bunch of different "I got scammed threads" there always seems to be a few people that seem to think it is ok for one or two blunders.....In my book, it is a one shot thing. You screw someone over once and that is it. It is a different story when you actually recieve the item and the two people have a difference of opinion as to what condition or whatever the issue may be. But when you don't recieve the item for 3 months, it is not ok. The only thing I could swallow is dude got in an accident and died before he could ship the shit..... Besides, I wouldn't call out a fellow Buckeye anyway...just maybe give you a little shit. I am still going to smoke you if we ever get a chance to race though...LOL
  22. From New Years to now has been plenty of time. I don't care what kind of good dealings people have had w/him. What I don't understand is why people think it is ok to be shady every once in a while as long as you have some good deals as well.....WTF???
  23. 25, 27.5, 30, 32.5....this is how the numbering goes on the pilots. Call Jeff at Fast, he will hook you up.
  24. Who is this person in Michigan you speak of? From this forum?
  25. Even 1-2MM is a lot. Little at a time.
