  1. This has to be the biggest pain in the ass. I have got lots of info on here before on my jetting. I still have a bad bog when i shift. So from half to full throttle. Here is my mod list again .40 over boost bootle k&n filter no box 290 main 25 pilot needle 2nd clip from the blunt end. (if i put the needle in the middle it sputters really bad on the low end or just starting in 1st & 2nd gear) +4 timing key I think i am running lean. It runs really strong on low end and pulls hard. It also get hot really fast!!! Elevation is around 1800ft. Please help me out. Maybe I need to go up to 310 or 320 mains? Info would be appreciated otherwise i am just going to unload my banshee and get a yfz450. Thay may sound bad but this tuning is getting to be some bullshit.
  2. I guess it kinda boils down to everyone has there own opinion on pistons! I havent had any trouble with mine. TO EACH THERE OWN!!!
  3. Vito's forged pistons are made by wiseco.
  4. Ok. Thanks to all that replied to my question. I appreciate the advice. My rear sprocket is kinda getting worn down. Teeth look smaller than they should. I have a vito's 15T for the front in the mail as we speak. Lucky for me the chain didn't slap the case. So no cracks or leaks.
  5. Yes!!! I put the vito's forged power pistons in my 97. Its bored .40 over. They are very good pistons IMO. I also felt a very noticable diff in power.
  6. Yesterday my chain snapped!!! I went on ebay and found one that said 8200lb. tensile strenght. What is this? Im assuming that 8200lb. is good. Most i have seen on dennis kirk are 6800. Can someone let me know what a good strenght chain is? The one on e bay is 520x104 The description says Race-driven heavy duty non o ring chain.
  7. Thanks alot man. Works great now!
  8. This doesnt have anything to do with my banshee. I got on the hq this morning and now when i click on a topic it the thread starters topic comes up but all the replies are on the bottom in blue. It sucks bad. Does anyone know how i can fix it? Im not to bright when it comes to computers. Please walk me trhough it. I want it to get back to where you can just scroll down the page and read everyones input. Thanks alot
  9. Hey AK, U said dont worry bout leaving it where it is. If I had 280 mains in and then put 290's in, moved the needle form the middle to the last clip. How lean did i make it? This jetting shit is confusing to me. Im thinking i should go up more on my mains. When i put the 290's in and moved the needle it ran extremely well but did seem to run a little hotter. I dont want to fry my motor. I just had it bored. Please help me. If anyone can explain rich, lean, and needle clip to me or send me a thread it would prob help me tromendously! Thanks alot. Im figuring this jetting out slowly buy surely
  10. It got worse with the spacers off. So I put them back on. Then changed my jetting to the topic that You replied to about needle clip. Runs great now. Just worried I may be too lean. Bike does seem to run a little hotter than before.
  11. Mods are: .40 over reed spacers boost bottle +4 timing key gold series pipes and silencers 290 mains 25 pilots needle on last clip(closest to blunt end) 1800-2000 above temp is in the 60's now but will be summer soon.(85-90) I did a plug chop and they look good as far as color. Should i up my mains more and get 27.5 pilots? Leave needle where it is? Seems to like it on the last clip.
  12. Ok so i have been having trouble with getting my jetting correct. I was running 280 mains, 30 piolts, and needle on the 3rd clip from the blunt end. Seemed to be really boggy on low end and lean on top end. So today i put 290 mains, 25 pilots, and moved the needle to the last clip next to the blunt end. It ran better than ever since i bought it!! Does it seem odd to have the needle on the last clip? Jetting is confusing to me. It doesnt bog anymore at all and I never knew this thing would go as fast as it did today. Do I seem to be at a safe jet point or not? Please help me out. My plugs seem to be the right color as far as everyone on here says. Dark brown, but not too dark. I want to thank everyone for all the help! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction.
  13. My situation is pretty much like banshee_boy09. It starts, idles, and revs great. When i take off in first gear its like its missing really bad and boggy. If i shift into second it does the same. If i pull in the clutch and rev it once then go its perfect through all the gears. It does it no matter if the bike is warmed up or not. I read on here that reed spacers where shit so i took them off. My only mods are: .40 over boost bottle +4 timing key gold series pipes and silencers My jetting is 280 mains 25 pilots needle 3rd clip from the blunt end Im about 1800-2000 above Just need help on this please. Every since i took off the spacers it seems to be rich and boogy on bottom end. Plugs look ok though. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Im getting very frustrated with this banshee! I have always wanted one. Finally got one and it seems to be more work than fun. I wont give up on this thing!!!!!!!
  14. OK sounds good. Thanks for the advice. I think i will go with the 15 to start with. Dont have that many mods. Just bored .40 over, boost bottle, reed spacers, and fmf gold serise pipes and silencers, oh and +4 timing key.
  15. I have the stock 14tooth front sprocket on now. I want to get a 15 or 16 tooth for the front. Does anyone have this done or have any suggestions for me? Will it take that much away from my bottom end power? I would just like to be able to get a little more speed on top end and be able to wined each gear out a little more. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks guys.
