    Drag pipes

    I am late on this thread but you prolly made the right choice on accident. For your future reference, you really need to have your builder choose your pipes to compliment their style of porting. Rob had his pipes made to compliment the way he ports and sets motors up. That is not to say that Robs pipes won't work good in other situations, but they will compliment his motors best. Other builders have their favorite and what works best for them. Nate Mccoy prefers Shearers, Tim from Titan Seems to like CPI's.... Anyway, hope you like your pipe choice and definately keep us updated on the dyno results. Rob builds a mean motor, you should be real happy.

  5. I have a red set but they are drag cut and painted w/red dupont chromabase. They have some stress cracks in the paint in spots but still look great. $200 and I live a whole 40 minutes from ya.
  6. I have a set of 39PWK snomo pumper carbs w/boss billet bowls and clippard style PJ's for Alky. The carbs and the bowls are polished. I would also include the pump. $450 plus shipping.
  7. Most likely they would be pretty close. If Teddy had to run the power jet open at all you should be able to close them down enough for your App. Beside, you can still put a smaller jet in them. I run a .120 jet and my dumps are drilled to .124.
  8. I have seen two things cause this. As mentioned above, either a crank seal or leak between your crank area and tranny area in the cases. I have also seen slipping clutches cause this by getting the tranny fluid hot enough to "boil over" persay.
  9. He has a good reputation on other sites. Have never purchased anything from him, but I wouldn't hesitate.
  10. I have never had a problem w/my carbs as long as they are purged a relatively short time after your riding/racing is finished. I basically clean mine at the beginning of each season....

  18. I would get a new piston. The top gets the hottest and expands the most. If the top is already larger and expands even 20% more than the bottom, you are going to have piston slap. If they bore the hole to work out for the skirts, you will have a siezure!

  23. I don't have an exact measurement but they are a hog of a tire. I am pretty sure that you would start seriously harming the power put to the ground running the ripper on a small motor. W/the extreme you get a much lighter tire that gets the traction you need. And the Ripper is very spendy!
  24. A ripper is way too much. Get a set of 10 or 12 paddle extremes.
  25. Is the right or left side smoking bad.....I would assume the right?
