  1. Just found out I can't make it either :ermm: Are you racing this weekend Shayne, or just the test and tune Friday?
  2. I will be up at 3:00 this Friday Shayne.
  3. Too much...It'll turn em, but is more than you need therefore working against you. Look on the bright side, good excuse to build a bigger motor!
  4. I figured that was who you were talking about.
  5. I'm sure you'll get all the help you need!
  6. Sleeper is correct. Best way to stop it is hold the brakes and pop the clutch.... Your air leak would/could be a direct cause of this. A lean condition of any kind...
  7. Price what it would cost to replace everyting if you had a catastrophic failure. 250R=Crank, piston, head(new dome if cool head) and if really bad luck cases. Z-400 =Crank, pistons, valves, valve job, cases, did any debree make it to the tranny, etc. etc.....
  8. I would like to buy them, but i need some sort of feedback or someone to vouch for you???
  9. Guy on the yellow bike is in his sixties....Little slow off the line, but never the less, still in his sixties  http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z53/jer...July2009095.jpg
  10. It is getting hot enough to spit some coolant. It should be coming from the overflow. Could be caused by many things. Low coolant, bad impeller, lean jetting. What do your plugs look like? Still stock impeller?
  11. I have a set of headlights, all black, no grilles. $50 shipped.
  12. I have only ridden a z400 once and it was the last time I cared to. They are nowhere near the 450's or the 250R for that matter. I have to disagree w/Meat on the lack of power on a 250R. A stockish piped R is not far behind a stockish piped Banshee. As a matter of fact when I take my wifes R to the dunes I usually make a few passes on it and usually whoop up on the stock banshees, 400's, etc. It hangs w/the Banshees cause it just plain shifts better. I can hammer through the gears with the throttle pinned on an R. The way the R was designed, they actually have some power off the low end as well. Much longer stroke and bigger piston than a Banshee.
  13. I would look into a new override or send yours to WCR or perhaps Rudy Kurtz to get you squared away. I have never seen anyone cut a 1-3 for a Banshee. That is a sign to me that this was a hack job.
  14. Absolutely! The way I look at is when YOU say so, not anyone else. That is of course, as long as you are not a danger to the people around you. I would tell your son and grandson to get their own, cause yours isn't going anywhere for a while.
  15. WD-40 will free it right up, but will eventually stick again. I went to a billet and it doesn't lock up any more. I think Rodneya has the right idea...
  16. I am extremely jealous. I don't think I have spent 10 straight days at Silver Lake ever!!!!
  17. I will check for sure, but I think I'm in.
  18. PM AZCUSTOMQUADS...see if he can help ya out. He was having a sale on his swingers last I knew.
  19. I have a set of stock headlights. $50 shipped.
  20. Got some headlights for $50 shipped.
  21. The orings are used instead of the little dowels to keep the outer race of the bearing from spinning.
  22. Anyone know where I can buy several of just these bushings(the cap piece that spaces the brake plate from the post off the swingarm)? I would consider buying a bulk of them if need be.
  23. I wanna say mine had o-rings on the bearings to achieve the same thing, I can't remember for sure though...
