I will be there and a few other of the drag guys. Find us on the strip and someone will give you a hand. I don't have a carb sync tool, but can get you plenty close eyeballin it. If you are wanting to meet up before the dunes I will be there after 9:30 Thursday night.

A lean condition is causing this. You are somehow lean on the needle or possibly the pilot ckt. Check your slides and sync. I have had my adjusters at the tops of the carbs come loose and cause this. Where is the clip at on the needles? Could be an air leak. Need to check all these things. And if it happens again, hold the brake and dump the clutch, it will shut her down.

Thanks, but I only need the lockup. If for some reason you separate them I would take the lockup. Anyone else?

Just as title says. Needs to be in good shape w/all parts/weights.

Definately don't run it till you figure it out. As mentioned you will hydro lock it and break stuff.

The wife might come, and if that is the case I am going to try and find a last minute vacancy on a cabin. If she doesn't go, I will prolly stay w/a friend. Are you camping? I think what you are doing is great.....I wish I had the ability, and access to tooling to do what you are attempting. I am interested in the outcome. Obviously you are not going to end up w/a 200 plus horse monster you would w/the billet cases and aftermarket cylinders, but I don't believe that is what you are after anyway...... Good luck w/it.

There are a ton of tripple banshees out there, just not many like this one.

What you are saying is a little contrdictary. If you had a bad stator side crank seal, you are most likely going to fail a leakdown test. It is possible to be bad and pass a leakdown but is not likely. In this case it would fail a vaccum test. Also, you said the plugs look rich then they look white when it starts to act up??? Give us a rundown of your setup and jetting and we will hash this out.

Sounds like you are pretty rich to me. What do your plugs look like. Did it all of a sudden start to happen, or happen after some changes..... Does it start well cold w/o the choke? If you have a bad crank seal on the right side, it will be spraying oil out the right side exhaust pretty bad.

Must be an alky injected deisel judging by the 1350 psi injectors.....Can I ride it :biggrin:

Do you have any drill bits small enough to fit in the power jet? You can then measure w/a mic. I don't know what range of jet sizes a powerjet can make up for, but it is a pretty good amount. You should be able to get pretty close measuring the PJ. Obviously you will not flow anymore than the barb for the PJ that the fuel line connects to so you might want to measure that as well to make sure it isn't smaller than the tube. It shouldn't be though....
