I think everyone thinks that because of this: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=banshee+zone http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=banshee+zone http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=banshee+zone

If someone were to creatively quote you, it might not look so good. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

An expensive airbrush job might be the way to go. By the time you buy new Fullbore plastic and a new IMS tank you would have probably spent more than $800. I suppose you could also have your frame powder coated a different color if you wanted to take the easy way out. You might not even have to have the blue powder coating stripped off.

Atleast you got to see all the things that I painted metallic blue. You didn't even have to ask to see them.

That plastic and frame color combo has the potentional to look not so great. It really depends on how close the PC color is to the plastic color. I think that you would either want them to not be very similair to give some contrast to the color or you would want them to be the exact same color. I love the color itself. I have painted alot of things that color.

That sounds pretty reasonable. I fingered the stator first because I have actually had that happen to me a few times. I have never had a CDI unit go bad.

could anyone tell me about how much horsepower i will have

It's a long story................I'll let someone else tell it. It involves a thread from a couple years ago and a member that doesn't come here much anymore. Here's a link to the thread. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...ost+bottle+dyno Apparently the link graph is now working again, so here it is. -
wana see some thing cool

You clearly haven't been around here long enough to realize that there are several people here that will discuss. what amounts to absolutely nothing. for a very long period of time. I certainly include myself in that group. :geek: -

I was looking for that the other day when I was having a heated discussion about dynamometers with ojcool. I thought I had saved it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I actually used that graph, and a picture of a corn fed harvest mouse that Stan drew for me, in a PowerPoint Presentation at work (with Stan's permision of course). Needless to say that is the last time I was ever asked to entertain a group of non-english speaking Japanese students for an entire day at our facility. -
I appreciate the welcome. I am not that far off from moving now...............I think I have most of the logistics and planning taken care of. I am reading about the DMV stuff right now and printing out forms so that I can maybe get a head start on some of this stuff. Is the Gresham DMV going to be faster than one of the Portland DMV locations? I suppose I am lucky that I only have one vehicle to be smog tested and only one vehicle that the bank has the title for. I can get Banshee #1 and my truck done in one shot if I get an emission test be fore I brave the DMV. I could get everything done at once, but it sounds like the DMV would like to look at the vehicle's VIN, so I will have to bring the Harley back later. Have any of you guys filled out the Application for Title and Registration form thta you get off the internet before. I am not sure what all I am expected to have completed before I get my nuber called to talk to someone in person at the DMV office. I guess I am still used to the Washington DMV, even though the drivers license office was at a different location than the title and registration office. Atleast you could walk into the title and registration with nothing but a registration and a smile, then walk back out shortly after, with all you paper work filled out for you and your documents in the mail. I suppose I should be happy that the worst part of my move is the DMV crap.

I need to see more pictures dammit! The frame looks great! I take it that you didn't want me to send you the blue powder coating off my frame when I take it off.

I thought you shutdown your site a few years ago? Am I not remembering that correctly (obviously I'm not)?

I hate to ask, but why are you picking up a copy of Cosmo? :ermm:

I think there is a Video forum on BansheeHQ for videos such as this to be posted in, if I am not mistaken.

I run the same components as Dave just mentioned. If you are going to run on any sort of exotic fuel, a programmable ignition is a must have. The way I look at horsepower improvents via ignition up grades is that it is sort of like recovering a percentage of lost horsepower, as opposed to making new horsepower. That may not make sense when typed out. You will recover a percentage of lost power with a programmable ignition. The more horsepower your engine is capaable of the mor power you will get from an ignition upgrade. There is a downside to the programmable ignition. If you don't know what you are doing when you play with the ignition maps, or cannot find a competent person to pay to do it for you, there is a good chance that you would have been better off without a programmable ignition.

I have enough trouble trying not to fall down and hurt myself in the course of my everyday life. I don't need to be giving better odds to hurting myself.

Cool. I have or plan on having a title for all my stuff anyway. Due some comments made earlier by someone on here, I didn't really understand what the actual deal was, just that it could be avoided currently.

PM BigRed350x. He actually has pictures of something like that. You can sort of see what I do to my frames in this picture.

I may have paid that much for it, I don't really remember. I know I bought it as a package deal with the matching air ratchet. I think you got a free t-shirt and a pocket knife or something like that with the package. Back in WA, I have several friends that I grew up with that are mechanics for Northwest CAT and my gun has gotten some nuts off that their $1600 Snap-on guns couldn't get off.

Cool. That's pretty much what I figured. I am still a little confused about the ATV title situation in Oregon. The way I understand it is that you can get one from the DMV, but it's not necessary to buy the sand permit sticker. Is that correct?
-
I have this one. I have had it for about 6 years and it still looks and works like new. It's not the cheapest gun, but compared to the cost Snap On gun, it's pretty inexpensive. I also have the matching air ratchet which so far has been the best air ratchet I have ever used.

That is a very nice looking swingarm. I would buy one if it wasn't such a hassle to get it in the first place.

At my new place of work we have 5 engine dynamometers and one chassis dynamometer. I don't think an ATV will be able to turn the rolls or the absorber as the dyno is made for Class 8 trucks (really the absorber probably isn't sensitive enough for a low torque engine. the rolls are 48" in diameter and made out of pretty this steel, so I am not exactly sure what they weigh, but I doubt you could accelerate them with less than a one hundred ft/lbs of torque). The engine dyno's are a different story, they are made for large diesel engines, but they made by the same people who made the dyno's at my current work place and I am pretty sure I can configure one of the dyno cells at my new work place to accomodate my needs. With those types of dyno's all of parameters of operation are just software adjustments. I have all my Banshee dyno control programs saved on my personal laptop so I am hoping all I will have to do is get it on the network at my new place and set myself up a new user profile at one of the dyno cell control stations. I will have to make an engine mounting system and a propshaft adapter when I get there, but that should be about it before I am ready to be up and running. I am actually a little excited as the dyno cells and my new work have much better instrumentation and monitoring equipment. I will actually be responsible for most of the facility at my new work and not just the work that goes on there like the case was at my old work. After some house keeping, organization, clean up, etc. when I first get there, I should be able to run an extra engine or two on a dyno on the weekends if properly motivated (read: buy beer).
