  1. I am guessing it operates more like a TCI Rattler harmonic damper than anything else. I haven't gotten to fondle one of those Rekluse units though. I would really like to see a Rekluse deal in person one day. They seem pretty nifty. :geek:
  2. Depending on how you want to do that, you may need some form of tubing bender. Post up a pic of what you like when you get a chance. I am sure between a few of us on here, we can figure something out to help you.
  3. With regard to some of the other things listed on that website, I certainly hope they have a large insurance policy as there is little to no ratioinal thought for strength or safety put into several of their designs.
  4. Home Depot also sells shrink wrap.
  5. Do a search of this forum por favor.
  6. After riding around town for a couple hours tonight I am still not any closer to having the proper screws. Home Depot did not have them and I found out that the local Ace Hardware closes at 5pm. I did double check the measurements on my screws this evening and they are indeed M4x0.7 - 20 screws (via calipers and a thread gauge). My offer wto trade some one that cover for the screws will stand through tomorrow evening when I get the proper screws. After that I believe the offer will change in that I will take a beer in trade for the cover. If not of that works out, I will be mystified at out how retarded the general populous is seeing as they cannot seem to even get something for free (I am not sure if I needed to tape a five dollar bill to that cover or what. I mean it's pretty nice, I just don't want it). After that it's going on eBay, where I am sure I will get atleast $10+shipping for it.
  7. They would do even better than that if Toyota would nut up and allow them to operate in a pure electric mode.
  8. My point was that there are alot of different ways to get more frame length out front. Can you post a picture of something similair to what you want?
  9. The aluminum axle offers very little in the way of reduced rotational inertia, but it certainly get some static weight out of the bike.
  10. The screw measurement is great. I'll see if I can come up with those this weekend. I actually have a taillight with the screws I need on my red bike in my garage. I was just too lazy to go and measure them last night. My trade offer still stands until I get my ass down to the hardware store this weekend. I can't believe someone never jumped on my offer. Someone local must want to put a taillight cover on there bike.
  11. Those are some great pictures! Thanks for posting the link.
  12. I go an lurk over on PS about once a day, but I rarely post anything. Trying to contribute anything over there is not worth my time.
  13. I guess it also depends on you perception of quality work and how you are looking to extend the front of the bike. What do you have in mind exactly?
  14. You should have bought my Harley when you had a chance. You know what I was going to let it go for.
  15. Those are the two screws I am looking for. I would just assume not put you through the hassle of mailing me two screws. If you wanted to measure them for me that would be cool. Then I could waddle myself down to the hardware store or borrow them from work. :geek:
  16. You have a good welder, tubing notcher, etc.? The only reason I ask is that if you had all the right equipment and skills, you might not be asking how hard it is to extend a frame.
  17. Ahh yes, the good 'ol ducted ape.
  18. If you search this forum you will find a post where I got a little excited and posted a bunch of pictures of hose routing. Maybe they might helo you. :geek:
  19. Does UPS let you ship beer? If so, I'd throw a beer in a box with the cover if you payed the shipping.
  20. I am just looking for the two screws for the type of Banshee taillight that cover came off of. I am saying I would trade that cover and a beer if someone local had the two screw (the screw in the picture with the cover replace those two screws if anyone just wants to put the cover on their bike and give me the OEM screws they remove). I have no idea what I would charge for the cover if someone wanted to buy it. I would just assume give it away to someone on the HQ and possibly make a new friend.
  21. I agree.
  22. Calvin is a good guy for sure.
  23. I'll have to see what my pay check looks like next week to see if I really want to go for a surrogate engine for my triple chassis.
  24. I'll buy that. Each one of my case halves came out of a 75 lbs. billet.
  25. Pictures? Video? That sounds pretty cool!
