That's awesome! I think mine took a couple weeks.
  2. Do a search in this forum for vent lines. This topic has come up many times. I think Bansh-eman and I both started threads about it when we were sort of new here. One of the later threads sent me on a picture posting spree as well. :geek:
  3. I had one of my loaner engineers from Germany telling me about that when I got to work this morning. It took me awhile to figure out what the hell he was talking about (German accent and all). I am plan to read about what happened when I get home.
  4. You're lucky the two hillbilly's you came across didn't decide that you had a purdy mouth.
  5. Either that or he finally got tired of us making fun of him for it.
  6. Matt could do the work, but he is very busy. The goal rpm is achievable with a somewhat normal looking pipe. I may wind up making the pipes myself. I didn't want to bnecause I am really slow at it. It would be an excuse to go buy a TIG welder and an oxy-acetylene rig.
  7. Holy crap......................a funny graph and a post that was spelled mostly correctly. What happened?
  8. I forgot that's what the billet cases were going for........................I am going to have to work a bit harder at convincing myself I need a surrogate engine for my triple chassis.
  9. The only thing that seems to be in my local Bank of America branch is alot of people.
  10. I'll buy that..........with regards to how hard it was to understand, you may have wanted to leave the grading portion of your comments out because they were either incorrect or misleading in the way thata less informed person might read that and think that all stainless fasteners are soft, there is no such thing as a graded stainless fastener, or simply there is only one type of stainless fastener made. :geek:
  11. I have a Trinity sticker on my tool box. What are you tring to say, I don't get it?
  12. You're more than welcome to post the info I regurgitated via PM.
  13. You might also have to deal with Wayne Brady trying to choke a bitch.
  14. I hear robbing banks works well, may be you could try that to get money for something like what BigRed is doing  .
  15. I suspect that the process used on mirrors is very similair to the chroming process of other plastics.
  16. I never really cared about the reason he wanted to make one. I frequently borr ideas from other for the stuff I make, but I certainly don't directly copy anything, nor do I make money off of it (I think it may actually wind up costing me more than buying the parts most of the time, but it's alot more fun). The only reason I gave the guy the digital finger is that he was a twat to Dave for absolutely no reason.
  17. Fullbore has also offered chrome plastics in the past. From what I understand, chroming plastic is no where near the same process as chroming ferrous or nonferrous metal.
  18. I can't keep up with you. I think the Twister cylinder choice is awesome! You are making me consider tossing together a billet cased surrogate engine for my triple chassis so that I can play with the chassis this summer.
  19. I am figuring that my triple won't be ready to do anything for atleast a year. I may try and throw a surrogate engine in the chassis just so I can have some fun with it this summer. Having a kid on the way is no excuse. I have a hard enough time babysitting myself, so I think we're even there. :woot:
  20. That made me giggle. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  21. That is the way most of the corporate racing entities operate (the folks that don't sell stuff to the public). If you took the time to patent anything, you are almost guaranteed to have someone else using your idea before you even get the design into a vehicle. Beyond that, any racing related patents out there have been done due to some ambitous person figuring they can make money off it at a later date. The other fun thing is that by the time you would ever get a patent for a racing component, the patented design would probably be atleast three generatikons of parts old and/or already have had the race classs governing body move to write rules against it. :ermm:
  22. I agree.
  23. That's just terrible.............................I am not sure if you are speaking in material generality or you just have no idea what you're talking about. I am not trying to be an ass (though I usually am), but I seriously cannot understand why your are posting what you are. You have to have some wires crossed in your undertanding of the topic somewhere, but I can't see where it is specifically.
  24. Let me know how you like the linkless setup. My personal goal is to have a second generation triple in my new frame before Bansh-eman gets his bike back together.
  25. BansheeHQ is certainly a more laid back forum than PS. Which I think is a good thing, but at the same time sometimes it takes longer to get a technical answer to a question. I joined as a Premium member here because I have gained so much knowledge without getting beat up for asking silly questions over the years that I felt it would be nice to give something back. I also try to contribute in a positive way to most thread that I have even some remote knowledge about. Like I said before, I really don't like alot of folks over on PS. I am all about riding in the sand and drag racing, but while you may get a technical answer quicker over there, you may need to have enough knowledge to pick the good info from the bad. There is alof of horribly ignorant info that gets passed off as the gospel over there. If PS had an atmosphere that resembled the HQ, except with proper information content, I would spend more time there.
