  1. Excellent idea, backed up with photographic evidence. Open and shut case. How is the lever travel? Does it travel further to open all the way? Any other mods required? Just curious. I would consider replacing the cover or grinding the honda off.
  2. Thanks for the help. I kind of wondered if they might make for a stiff ride. I'll try the preload first. Sounds like with preload adjusted front end will be high, but will level out with rider aboard.
  3. Hey all, Just bought YFZ450 shocks to try out. I haven't got them yet, but I've read in alot of other posts that ride height is increased by 1". Anybody try these lowering kits or are they like wheel spacers, Not A Good Idea.
  4. I'm interested in your works shocks. How are they valved / sprung? Do you have any pics of the shocks? I've got mint stockers to trade. barrb123@hotmail.com
  5. Interested in the rears, still got 'em? Can I get pics? Thanx. barrb123@hotmail.com
  6. I can't believe the H&K USP's weren't mentioned! I love mine. Thats what the Seals use. They're super smooth and high cap is awesome! My bro has two matching berreta centurions (similar to 92fs) and loves um. They are very durable guns. Next I want some sort of 1911 - Colt, Springfield, Kimber, Smith & Wesson, etc.
  7. What's wrong with stock? They're the shit!!! I'm thinking of running a dual stock front shock set-up, like on big offroad trucks. Maybe a triple stock shock set-up when I get +2 arms! Seriously, pyro4545 has a set of dual rate Elkas with no rezzies for sale in the swap shop forums on this site. They look like brand new. I've been told that Elkas with no rezzies are better than works with rezzies. God I'd love a set of fully adjustible Elkas with piggyback ressies and a set of qsm +2 a-arms.
  8. Squirrels is good people. Feed it! What do ya got to loose? If it bites ya, you only have to get a few painless shots (in the spine? for weeks). For the girls I go out with I have to keep up on my shots. Quote "Tender" "Tastes like chicken" - funny shit!
  9. First off, thank-you for your service to our country. It is because of people like you that I am free to ride. Congrats on joining the ranks of banshee owners. I'm also a newbie or feel like one anyway. Every time I ride mine it never ceases to amaze me. Be prepared to spend long hours thinking of cool shit to do to trick it out. The best thing I ever did for my banshee was to become a member of this site. Everyone is so cool and helpful and hilarious. I hope your wife is still cool about your new obsession in a year. Maybe get her a quad too so she'll understand. Enjoy!
  10. Does anyone know if they are going to continue selling the Delta 2's? I have an '01 with FMF SST's and a K&N and stock reeds. Do you guys think aftermarket reeds would be a good improvement? I would be interested in flow bench test data on the Delta's, G3's, and modded stock. I don't trust the data from the G#'s site. If I go modded stock, does anyone have recommendations on what reeds to use. I ride mostly MX and some trails.
  11. Are they sold yet? I might be interested. Rezzies? How are they set up?
  12. Yeah, I suppose your right. Why waste the time and money. Do it right or not at all. Good point about the shock body and loosing travel. I hadn't thought 'bout that. I still might try the YFZ450 shock swap and then get them rebuilt (valved and sprung) when I get a-arms. But for what those shocks are going for now, I'd be well on my way to good aftermarket.
  13. I've been considering the same idea of using a slightly longer shock. My stock shocks on an '01 are 14.5" from center of eye to eye. The shocks I'm looking at are stock length for a 250R or 400EX, which is 15.5" ctc. I might try it and lower the spring preload to its minimum to keep the front end at the right height. I'm worried about the length of piston travel and valving. I don't know how tha shocks will react if the pistons can only travel part way. My theory is they might work similar to a zero preload set-up. Sitting flat they will be at 14.5". In the air they will extend to 15.5" and on landing they will have the full travel to soften the blow. What do you guys think?
  14. Got anything left? I'm looking for aftermarket front shocks, and rims/tires. If yes, let me know how much. Thanks.
  15. I'm in for one. Hot chicks and Banshees, the two things that make me drool! By the way Evil, your interests were well stated in your profile.
