If it is backfiring that means that it is running lean. Look for loss of fuel to carbs or reeds. Make sure you check filter/strainer in petcock in tank. I removed mine and found all kinds of crud on the pick-up screen. You might be getting fuel enough to wet plugs but not enough for it to start and run.

Hey man check out this website. I run one on mine and have not had any prob's to speak off. The only drawback is that it is hard to see. The best gauge to install is a 1.5 inch liquid filled gauge. Otherwise needle will vibrate alot.
Finally got signed in. Must have been a fluke deal for two days. Sorry i haven;t had time to get new pics of the shee with cut plastic. hope to do it this weekend.
Hey guys and gals,
I just changed oil on the shee in the trans thinking that the oil that I had in there was not
the right oil. Drained it out and filled it with Bel Ray gearsaver and the noise is still there. It sounds like a clutch chatter type noise. Test drove it and it shifts good. Does anybody reccomend pulling the side cover and checking the clutch or what? Also when I drained the oil out I did not see any metal on the magnetic drain plug. If it is nothing to worry about i won't. I would like to know if I should pull it apart or not. Chatter does not get any louder when I rev it up. But hell you could not hear it over the pipes and engine anyway. Thanks for the help.
Some guys have cut the back off of their stock air box and used it and most will either remove the overflow bottle. You can get a water bottle relocator bracket just about anywhere on the web. Ex ebay, rmatv, motosport.
If your talking about the hose between the carbs it should be a rubber piece of hose not aluminum. The hose is down closer to the case. If your talking about the aluminum one i assume your talikng about the balance pipe. Make sure kicker gear is not broke. Does it have some resistance when you try to kick it over? Let us know. I'm sure someone on here can help.
Noss for sure. Talk with dave he will hook you up. Install went simple. No stud changing. make sure that you get the orings in the right spots and use good grease to hold them in place. Noss head is the best head iI have seen. Latter.
Lee,
Chime in please so some of the members can get some of these decals. Let us know lee if shee-male cna make some of these up. I would like to purchase about 4 of them if possible. Thanks guys for the help.I would rather have them made by a fellow hq'er than having to go out and have someone try to duplicate them and pay them about $5 or more per decal.
Well everyone that responded I did it I chopped them off. Takes a little while to get used to it but i think i like the way it looks. I will attach a pic latter for everyone to see the new looking shee. Latter.
Guys and Gals,
I just flushed out my cooling system and filled with engine ice and was wondering if anyone has taken temp readings before and after with engine ice. Hopefully it works good at 20.00 a hlaf gallon.
Are u talking about the front brake resivor cap screws? If so go out and buy a left hand drill bit set. Chuck up the drill bit u need and put drill in reverse. it should bite into the screw and pull it out. If that does not work I bought some stuff from my mac tool guy that works great. What i call it is miracle in a bottle. How u use it is put a small drop into the head of the screw and insert allen wrench or screw driver and remove screw. At first is did not think that it would work but i made a beliver out of me. If you don't have a MAC tool guy let me know and i can get you some and ship it to ya.

I purchased a few of the old style hq decals a while back and no I see that they don;t have that style anymore. Cna anybody point me in the right direction for some more. They were the ones with bhq in big letters and then it siad downright dity or something like that. Thanks for your help.
Riding in the mud on my g-pas farm is all I rind in. Sometimes i get a chance to ride in the sand but not very much. I got to looking at the front end tonite and found that the front tires stick out ast the fenders anyway. Only about an inch of the fender catches any mud anyway. So, I think I will shave them off on sunday. Thanks guys for your input. It is appreciated. Latter.
Wiil take at least two 1/2 gal's. Might need a thrid to top off after heats up. Drain all coolant. Fill with distilled water and white vineagar. run till up to temp. drain all water/vinegar. flush with clean water and refill with engine ice.
Hey guys give me your honest opinion. Looking at my pic of my quad should i cust front fenders or not. I do not have a back up pair if i cut them. Thanks for the input.
