  1. Hey All, Just had a local dealership mount up some kend front sand tires with the center rib and i noticed that the round edge of the center rib is to the inside of the tire and the straight edge of the rib is to the outside. Is this the way they are supposed to be? Tryed to find any pics and really cant find any good ones of front sand tires mounted on a shee. Any help would be great.
  2. Install inst are as follows for a banshee.short wire goes to ground and longer wire of the two goes to orange wire on coil. If you are still using your factory key switch you must disconnect it for the pro-design kill switch to operate right.
  3. I run the heatseeker and love it. I also run a 1.5 inch gauge and made a custom fittiing out of copper pipe and soldered in a threaded bung for the probe. only downfall is that it starts at 130 degrees.
  4. If your looking for factory ones try Bike Bandit.com. Or try some auto parts stores.
  5. Same thing happened to me. Took kill switch apart and found the metal parts inside rusted and now making good contact. used a wire brush and some sandpaper and cleaned it up. works good now. reccomend using di-electric grease on the inside. Found out that the switches are not 100% waterproof.
  6. Just find you a local dealership that sells atv's and they can mount them for you. If not try Wal-Mart or a store like that. Doing atv tires yourself is a pain in the a**. It's much eaiser to have them done by a pro.
  7. Been using Klotz for 2 years now. Smeels good and havn't had any probs yet. I run 32:1. Wouldn't run anything else.
  8. Nothing but good luck with my aluminum impeller here. I do not flush my cooling system each year and coolant looks good in my 98 shee. Alum water pump impellers are the only way to go for longevity.
  9. That's where your supposed to mount it. I know they don't look right where they are but belive me they work great for high speed riding.
  10. I bought one from a semi-truck stop. had to do a llittle modifying to fit it to factory bracket but it is red. looks really cool at night. unforuntaley i dont ride much at night.
  11. UPDATE: My father and I went and looked at it and I did not have the carbs in sync just right when looking thru the sight glass on the sides of the carbs. Adjusted them with the throttle cabels and installed new plugs again and she finally started and ran. After running for awhile it died. Tryed to start again and no start. Now, i getting upset. And out of the blue my dad asked is the fuel turned on. I said yes and then looked down and sure as shit it was turned off. turned on fuel choked her and she fired right up. Thanks for all the help. I can always rely on good advice here. Latter guys and gals and ride safe.
  12. Hey guys and gals, Went and ordered a cascade throttle extender. Went to install it and seen that my throttle cable was about to break. called local dealership and bought one. The next day i removed old cable from 98 shee and installed new cable. went prety smooth with no problems. put shee all back together and now she won't start. it has been sitting for about 4 months. Last time i worked on it it started and ran great. checked for spark and it appeared to be weak. have good fuel. Also what is the round screw looking things on top of the tors? messed with one of them and still won't start. Could it be a cdi? coil? or something else. Any help would be great.
  13. Nothing but good luck here. Had to return a item once a there was not even a ? asked. Didn't even know about any cashback from rmatv. Maybe i'll get back some cash seeing I have spent over 1k this year so far. Place is addictive though. Latter.
  14. Hi guys and gals: Wanted a stock steering stem for a 98 banhsee that is straight and not bent. Pm me with any details. Or email me at [email protected]. Please include price and shipping to 50021. Thanks.
  15. Thanks guys for the replies. not sure what style or brand yet.
  16. I agree stick with what manual says till broken in then switch to 32:1. I run Klotz tec niplate and love it. Smells good and runs great.
  17. If you want to go with oem I suggest Bikebandit.com. It has a online micro-fiche and you can order directly through them. Good fast shipping. If they can't get it they will email you and tell you where to get what you need. Hope this helps. As far as aftermarket just about any aftermarket shop can get them.
  18. A buddy of mine has one on his predator and says he loves it. Does anybody here have one on a shee and which ones are better than others. Pics please if you have one installed. Thanks.
  19. Defiinetly upp chain slide. the best you can buy. Had one for two years now and love it.
  20. I have always used the br8es in mine and would like to switch to the iridum plug. I have pipes, k&n, open air box, boost bottle. Should i stick with factory plugs or could i run the iridium plugs and be safe?
  21. Had one on my 98 shee with a temp gauge installed and only noticed about 2 degrees in temp drop. Depending on how many fins it may lower temps more. I think most people install them for the bling. But, anything to lower the temps of a shee will help even if it is only a few degrees.
  22. Agree with sick boy. will not have to rejet just cause your running at 50:1.
  23. Just wondering where did you find the metal case saver at? I have the one from TM Designs and love it.
  24. Hey Guys and Gals, For Sale: I have a hitch for sale for 1997 mitsubishi eclipse. Asking 100.00 for it. Perfer local pickup. Can ship but due to weight and size it would be expensive. It is black in color. May fit other DSM cars but not for sure. Reciever size is 1 1/4. Mounting hardware not included but could pick up at any local parts store. Can get pics if needed. Had on the car for about 6 mos. since then it has been stored inside. Thanks for looking.
  25. I run a couple of small fog lights on my 98 shee. I tapped them into the low beam side of the switch. They are the 35 watt lights. They work pretty good at night. Just use a test light at the wires when you have your shee running and position the switch in each position and tap into it there. Or like someone else said tap into each wire and see if they work.
