  1. Your going to need to jet higher for colder weather, so 320 mains, stock or 27.5 pilot. Also you may have to play with the needle position.
  2. Have your stock rear shock revalved and rebuilt. Why would you want your bike to sit higher? That is only going to make it more tippy.
  3. I was talking to a builder around me and he said the most he would run on a stock engine was 20cc domes and +3 timing on 93. He said that anything with more compression than that wouldent be good on a stock crank without welding it.
  4. If you bought the banshee jet kit, it includes two of everything. On the airscrew, I like to start at 1.5 turns out then work my way out.
  5. Search!!!! try the search button at the top of the page for tons of info on the vforce2. If you bought them new, they should have some instructions. And yes your going to have to rejet to get the most power out of the reed cages.
  6. I got mine for around $540. I agree with the fit where the airbox is....it sucks but it can be done. fmf should tell people that they dont fit well with an airbox, but would not sell as much .
  7. Just need some basic tools, and a torque wrench. Take your gas tank off and put the seat back on so you have something to sit on . Drain your radiator (see clymers), unplug all the hoses to the stock head, then unbolt it. Once its off you can see your pistons....in the instruction sheet it says to get a razor blade and cut the head gasket off, but I dident . Now put the domes on with the lines pointing forward (they fit in your head only one way). Then put the o-rings in there place with a little greese to hold them in place. Once the heads on torque the head in stock torqueing pattern (clymers). I think you should torque them in 4 different stages: 5ftlbs, 10ftlbs, 15ftlbs, and finaly 20ftlbs. It took me about 2 hours to install mine. Also, you might put the head together to make sure everything fits good before you install it. Your going to be happy with this thing, it cools and looks so much better than stock . some pics off meat's site
  8. When you put in bigger jets, more gas is going to flow threw them. Can you give us some detail on where it is sputtering (before powerband, at the first part of the powerband) ? Where is it boging? 1/2-3/4? 3/4-WOT?
  9. Not if your using the stock airfilter (the airbox lid holds the filter in place). So with the lid on you should be around 310 mains. Like whats been said, the stock airfilter sucks ass. Get THIS airbox adaptor and filter.
  10. Elmer- your main jet does not effect your bottem end (banshee's dont have much in the first place). First off, when your tuning your carbs start out with a clean airfilter. Try a 320 mains and if it craps out at WOT (if not try 330's) put the 310's back in with the stock pilots. Then dial in your airscrews and you will be set!
  11. The fmf fatties are going to be just as loud as the gnarly, but you can shorten the silencer to make it louder. Toomey t5's would be another good choice, they are loud and work well with porting. Toomey t6's are a good choice if your leaving the engine stock. There are alot of other good pipes...use the search button for alot more info .
  12. What kind of port job was done? Get a Airbox Adaptor Plate and filter. Your jetting should be around a 350 main, and 27.5 pilots with the lid off.
  13. might try there website www.nossmachine.com
  14. Is this thing like a water distiller? We have one of those and it makes water taste better than bottled water no shit.
  15. Dude why are you bashing fmf so much? Just because your to much of a puss to get the pipe clamps on . It took me about an hour to get both silencers on .
  16. Search google for the elevation your riding at....im going to say around 300 mains, stock pilots with the lid off.
  17. No, the t5 silencer is not spark arrested. You can get spark arestors for them, but that will cost alot more than just getting the fmf's.
  18. If you ride threw any water I would keep your airbox and get THIS airbox kit and remove your lid. Whatever you do, you need to get some aftermarket filters asap. If you ride in the forst you will probley need FMF Turbinecore 2 spark arrested silencers. When you get the money, get a nossmachine coolhead with 20cc domes, and vforceIII reed cages, they will help you on your low end power.
  19. You wont high center on anything if you dont put around....I run 20's in the rear and 22's up front. I have some washed out trails around my house and never get stuck
  20. At the rear of your banshee there is a little bottle between your silencers. Fill it up to the top line....also you might try the search feature at the top right of the page.
  21. You need to rejet before you start it up, also you can run fmf, or toomey t-5 (louder) silencers. Whats the temp. and the elevation your riding at? Do you still have the stock air filter?
  22. I typed it into google, and some site said 800-1000. Is you timing advanced? Also doent porting lower your compression?
  23. Dont you think thats a little overkill for just screwing around? Nosshead, K&N filter, vforce III reed cages, +4 timing plate, lighten flywheel...and when you want to really smoke them +4 longrod stroker, with porting and bigger carbs
  24. Yea theres a tool to adjust the front shocks, but they still suck. If your going to get serious about jumping get some elka, tcs, or custom axis shocks. Also, to keep the front end down haul ass up the dune and right before the top let off all the way and the front end wont come up on you.
  25. Yea, he should be damn close. Might try magicracing.com they have cheap prices.
