I would put 360 mains, and 30 pilots in. Where did you order those jet sizes from? I can only find up to 320's for stock carbs. Let me know how that kind of port job works with the sst's

Ive had my fmf sst's for 6 months and no blueing or turning gold at the base at all. Mine is jetted on the rich side also, so id say you might try a size bigger on the main jets. Someone on here said there was some stuff that you can get at any harley davidson store that will remove the blueing. BTW ive rode for 3-4 hours streight before at the dunes many times.

yfz's came out in 87 ........IMO the banshee,250r,yfz450,450r,z450? are the best.

When I rolled mine it pulled the cord out of the clutch perch and it wouldent rev out. I was changing plugs on the side of the hill ....pretty funny. My friend helped my push it to the top (to steep to back down) and I pushed it in and it reved freely . Glad to hear you got your banshee running

Ill try some WD-40. It was lose from the dealership, so we tightend the shit out of it and I think thats why the axle bearings went out What about one of those self locking axle nuts that nossmachine makes? Are those any good?

The only wrench we have that will fit is a pipe wrench. I put my foot on the brake and my dad is pulling up on it trying to get it lose (only turning the lock nut). He is pulling so hard that the shock is compressing. What would you guys try, to get it lose? I need to get the axle bearings replaced, no later than this weekend .

The guy at FAST racing said he did a play/dune port on a banshee with sst's and it screamed. Im running stock gears,20in sandstars, and starting out in 2nd in the sand. BTW, I think fatties and sst's are the same pipe, but they moved the sst pipe clamp back and made some kind of wave deals in there .

Put in 280 mains and stock pilots with the airbox lid on and thet snorkel removed.

I have sst's, and a K&N with the lid off and im at a 30 pilot.

gnarly's are a bottem-mid pipe fatties are an "all around pipes" , but the bottem end is not as good as the gnarly. sst's are a mid-top pipes, but have good low end IMO. I ride tight trails with mine.

I was in the same place that you are at 2 months ago. I went with the nossmachine cool head because it keeps your bike running cooler and gives you more power at the same time.

Mine does the same thing, and it will not idle when it is cold. I just give mine a little gas for 1-2 mins. then it will sit and idle. Some banshees are just cold blooded.

I would get the vforce 3's before the 2's anyday. I have heard of some people's screws that hold the reed petals on falling out and into the engine . The vforce 3's just snap into place. I put vf2's on my friends blaster and it made the power curve alot smoother. Yes, you will have to rejet if you want to get the most out of them. The vf3's are the next thing on my go-fast part list. Some other good mods for you to look into: adjustable timing plate (+4), nossmachine coolhead with domes, lighten flywheel, then comes the expensive stuff (motor work).

You kinda did things backwords, but anyway put in the 340's and see what happens. I would order 350's and 360's also. Dial in the mains and then work you way down because it could change the settings from 0-3/4 throttle.
